PERSONALITY When you first take a look at Chieko, you would think she doesn't want to be here. But, that's not true, she's an introspective girl, always in deep thought, especially with the extroverts in the group. BACKGROUND In late 2001, Princess Ryoko of Japan announced that her desire is to become a single mother and is currently looking for donors. This caused a slight ruckus in Japan because being a single mother, especially a prominent woman was still a taboo thing back then, and many people had thought that this would be a loophole for Ryoko to still have her title. Nevertheless, Ryoko was able to find a private donor and soon gave birth to Princess Chieko of Setsuna on July 7th, 2002 in Tokyo, Japan.
Obviously, Chieko was born with a golden spoon in , she had and could get anything she ever wanted, but at the end of the day she would get the short end of the straw when it came to her cousins, she was the least popular among them because she wasn't conceived traditionally. That also became prominent in school, as people were either using her for money and status or bullying her; she only had a couple of close friends throughout the years.
As Chieko got older, her mom got stricter. Ryoko had an ideal life set up for Chieko; go to college, get a job and husband, etc... But of course, Chieko had different plans. When Girls Generation debuted in Japan, Chieko became a huge fan of theirs. She would listen to their songs and even go to their concerts sometimes. ✧ When Chieko got accepted into MIK, she informed her mother and Ryoko explained the situation to the rest of the family and some of the staff. Hesitant at first, the family agreed to keep Chieko's training under wraps until her inevitable debut.
The family spoke to MIK and the company had also agreed to the conditions, being very protective of Chieko when she came to Korea.
When Chieko finally arrived in Korea, she was limited to go anywhere; just school and the company. It would hurt her family's reputation if word got out that she was an idol trainee. Because of this, Chieko mostly kept to herself in the first few months.
Due to her lack of Korean, she mainly focused on dancing. She joined the company with very average all skills, but soon found dancing to be her strong suit as opposed to singing and rapping. So, it wasn't a surprise that she was going to have a lead dancer position if she was ever going to debut.
As the year of training was coming to an end, Chieko was afraid that she would have to go back to Japan and give up her dream. Not only that, but her mother would be extremely disappointed in her. Luckily, the company announced a new girl group, Razzle Dazzle to the trainees, and Chieko was chosen as a member.

✧ A Search Party for Princess Chieko ︲ When Chieko was 8 years old, she had a doctor's appointment after school. Her staff was going to pick her up but had car problems, causing Chieko to be late to the appointment. However, the eight year old took it upon herself to get to the doctor's office on time, and managed to slip out to walk to the doctor's office by herself, convincing herself that she knew how to get to the doctors office from her school.
Not surprisingly, however, Chieko got lost and the driver who was scheduled to pick her up called the police right away. Because of her hierarchy status, it became an all hands on deck situation.
Chieko was found just a couple hours later by a civilian. After getting lost in Tokyo, Chieko decided to get some snacks at a vending machine and sit in a park until she was found. She had no idea that there was a search party for her until the civilian called the police and she was escorted out of the park to be reunited with her worried mother. Her doctor's appointment rescheduled for the next week and the staff that was supposed to pick Chieko up from school was fired.
And like clockwork, Chieko, her mother, and the family in general received a lot of scrutiny from the public to let a little girl walk around the streets of Tokyo alone, especially since Chieko is a public figure.
But since then, Chieko was never left alone for a second to make sure that she wouldn't be lost again. It took a long time for Chieko to gain the trust of everyone to be on her own, including her mother. ︲ 2010.
✧ A Japanese Princess is Set to Debut in MIK's New Girl Group ︲ When Chieko moved to Korea, she had to make an announcement to Japanese citizens that she was going to study in Korea. She didn't mention that she will train as an idol. So when Chieko was revealed to be a member of MGz, the country was torn. Of course, there were people who didn’t support her decisions, but the majority of the public were supportive of her. ︲ 2019.
✧ Razzle Dazzle's Chieko Will Take a Hiatus From the Group ︲ Chieko was approaching the age where she would receive a new title: 'Grand Cordon of the Order of the Precious Crown.' This will be when she turns the legal age in Japan, 20 years old.
Originally, Chieko was supposed to go to Japan just for this personal schedule, returning to Korea to continue Razzle Dazzle's schedules, but Ryoko put in a request with MIK that Chieko would stay in Japan for a couple months. MIK agreed and announced that Chieko will take a hiatus from Razzle Dazzle for the rest of the summer.
In the meantime, Ryoko had Chieko stay in Japan for a media run, having Chieko talk about her new title as well as Razzle Dazzle for a little. She also had Chieko perform her royal duties, something that she had not done since moving to Korea.
Ryoko hoped that having Chieko back in Japan would help her realize that her time in Razzle Dazzle was just a phase, leaving MIK and the group to permanently return to her previous life. Chieko caught on to her mother's true intentions and decided that she would continue to be an idol, even though she never wanted to leave Razzle Dazzle in the first place. ︲ July - August 2022.

✧ When Chieko got accepted into MIK, she informed her mother and Ryoko explained the situation to the rest of the family and some of the staff. Hesitant at first, the family agreed to keep Chieko's training under wraps until her inevitable debut.
The family spoke to MIK and the company had also agreed to the conditions, being very protective of Chieko when she came to Korea.
When Chieko finally arrived in Korea, she was limited to go anywhere; just school and the company. It would hurt her family's reputation if word got out that she was an idol trainee. Because of this, Chieko mostly kept to herself in the first few months.
Due to her lack of Korean, she mainly focused on dancing. She joined the company with very average all skills, but soon found dancing to be her strong suit as opposed to singing and rapping. So, it wasn't a surprise that she was going to have a lead dancer position if she was ever going to debut.
As the year of training was coming to an end, Chieko was afraid that she would have to go back to Japan and give up her dream. Not only that, but her mother would be extremely disappointed in her. ✧ A Search Party for Princess Chieko ︲ When Chieko was 8 years old, she had a doctor's appointment after school. Her staff was going to pick her up but had car problems, causing Chieko to be late to the appointment. However, the eight year old took it upon herself to get to the doctor's office on time, and managed to slip out to walk to the doctor's office by herself, convincing herself that she knew how to get to the doctors office from her school.
Not surprisingly, however, Chieko got lost and the driver who was scheduled to pick her up called the police right away. Because of her hierarchy status, it became an all hands on deck situation.
Chieko was found just a couple hours later by a civilian. After getting lost in Tokyo, Chieko decided to get some snacks at a vending machine and sit in a park until she was found. She had no idea that there was a search party for her until the civilian called the police and she was escorted out of the park to be reunited with her worried mother. Her doctor's appointment rescheduled for the next week and the staff that was supposed to pick Chieko up from school was fired.
And like clockwork, Chieko, her mother, and the family in general received a lot of scrutiny from the public to let a little girl walk around the streets of Tokyo alone, especially since Chieko is a public figure.
But since then, Chieko was never left alone for a second to make sure that she wouldn't be lost again. It took a long time for Chieko to gain the trust of everyone to be on her own, including her mother. ︲ 2010.

In the meantime, Ryoko had Chieko stay in Japan for a media run, having Chieko talk about her new title as well as Razzle Dazzle for a little. She also had Chieko perform her royal duties, something that she had not done since moving to Korea.
Ryoko hoped that having Chieko back in Japan would help her realize that her time in Razzle Dazzle was just a phase, leaving MIK and the group to permanently return to her previous life.
