Am I Stupid?

This sounds like a good idea to me, but everyone around me thinks that it's a bad idea and no one understands.

In my previous blog I talked about going to a BTS concert that's about 5 hours away.

We will probably take the bus (maybe a train) to Chicago. We will take a shuttle to the hotel to check in and then Uber to and from the concert. And then perhaps take a shuttle from the hotel to the bus stop. It's simple. We won't be roaming around the city. I can literally see BTS live in concert for $300 total. As a Kpop fan that is such as cheap price.

I will have all my school work taken care of before I go and I will email my teachers. I don't have any exams those two days.

We won't have to drive at all so it seems like a good idea to me and my friend.

My mom is concerned about my safety and weather. The 2 of us are 19 years old. But we will be at a designated place at all times. We won't be out in the city at all. And technically we will be 30 minutes outside of Chicago. We aren't directly in the city. And the hotel is super close to the venue.

We will be on a bus so if the weather gets bad we won't be alone. And we'll have extra money in case something goes wrong. We will have a planned out schedule including room for error.

Am I stupid? Am I crazy? Everyone thinks we're stupid and dumb for doing this. But seeing Kpop groups live is so rare. I'm at the point of crying because I'm so frustrated.

I just wish that everyone would help us instead of tearing us down. Help us get there safely! Help us plan it out! All I am getting is hate and I don't know what to do...

Should I just forget it?

If I do that, I'm not sure when the next opportunity like this will be.

19 years old means a full adult here. And if I could see an idol by only 5 hours driving I would probably cry from happiness XD But they never come to my country. I don't think you're stupid at all. Go for it.

You're not stupid. Someone stupid would be someone who does what is wrong, even though he knows it's wrong. And news flash, YOU AREN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG. Just as you said, seeing your idols is a rare moment, and I'm sure, you deserve to take a breal and have fun at the concert. I mean, you're 19, you're practically an adult. If someone's going to control you, it's only you. If you'll not go to this concert, I'm sure you'll regret it later on. If you go to this concert, there might be lil regrets, but at least you have somethinh to say like "At least I experienced this." You're not stupid. What you're doing is LIVING YOUR LIFE.

What, no, you're not stupid. You're hella responsible. You're planning a trip with a friend, making it as safe as possible. Go. See BTS and enjoy the out of he concert. There's absolutely nothing stupid about it.
