The ride was silent. You were nervously trying to cover your legs as you faced the window. Kris wasn’t any better; he would clear his throat once in a while and nervously played with his fingers. “W-what k-kind of business do you d-do?” you stuttered out the question. Kris faced you and quickly looked away. “…Nightclubs and hotels…” he simply answered. You nodded and leaned back into the leather seat. *I wonder what the party is about…hopefully not killing and selling drugs…* you swept your fringe to the side and stared blankly outside the window with a silent sigh.

“Boss, the arrangement has been set. They’re all behind us.” The driver spoke through a small speaker. “Good.” Kris replied. You tilted your head to the side in pure confusion. *Arrangement? Behind us?* you thought and turned your head around to look through the back window. Your jaw dropped at the sight of two vans, five BMWs and ten motorbike riders following close behind.

Scared, you quickly turned back to face the front and shiver in fright. “W-why are there so much cars and motorbikes following us?” you squeaked. Kris raised a brow at your change of attitude. “For protection…” he blinked. *YOU ARE FREAKEN JOKING ME RIGHT? YOU DON’T NEED SEVENTEEN CARS OF MEN TO PROTECT SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO A FREAKEN PARTY!* you mentally yelled.

Kris leaned back and relaxed. Sensing something different about your aura, he decided to tease you. “Who knows…we get killed tonight.” He smirked. You gawked at him and blinked rapidly. “Y-you s-serious?” Kris nodded and hid a smirk. You turned pale and Kris immediately felt guilty. *Maybe that was too much…after all, she is just a normal person* Kris worriedly nudged your arm with his elbow.
