Dark brown eyes shot open.

Joohee groaned, rubbing her sore head, hesitantly pushing her heavy body into a sitting position.

"Ah, so the screaming beauty has finally joined the land of the living."

The idol tried to glare towards the source of the voice through the darkness, but the lights were so dull she could barely see the bars that were mere inches away from her face.

"Excuse me?!" she hissed through clenched teeth, but there was no answer. "What? Cat got your tongue now?"

No response.

She huffed in irritation, pushing her body backwards against the cage, slumped. She mentally wondered what time it was, swearing that the lighting wasn't this bad before. Was it nighttime? What time even was it?

The more awake her mind became, the more she noticed a dull throb in her right forearm. Running the pads of her fingers against the skin she found a bump towards the center of the limb. Pressing on it, she hissed at the pain it caused.

In pure irritation she kicked the other side of the cage, ignoring the loud bang the metal made from the impact.


"Subject M55 is ready for the injections," spoke one of the few nurses in the white room.
