After everyone finished their units mission which the winner turned out to be A Team (consist of Hoshi, Jeonghan and Wonwoo), they’re already given another mission to have 1000 audiences for their showcase. Everyone get mental breakdown, since it feels impossible for a group that haven’t debuted like them. But before that, the production team give a little ‘vacation’ for them to release their stress, frustration, and tension. Seventeen members enjoy their time playing on the beach and also having a campfire at the night. They were told by the staffs to speak up their problems or burdens to each other in the ‘candlelight ceremony’, so they can have a better teamwork as a team.

“Lately, I’ve noticed that everyone getting more sharper with their words or actions...”, Wonwoo started the conversation.

“Yeah that’s right, Wonwoo... I’m also want to say that please tell me if something happens between any member. I want us to share everything as a team, as a family.”, Seungcheol added.

“And if someone feels tired, rather than saying it’s tired, let’s just give each other strength and be happy!”, Soonyoung said with a warm smile.

Everyone then proceed to speak up their problems and burdens one by one.

Jisoo POV

‘Should I talk about this? Or not? But it’s really a burden for me though...’, Jisoo thought about whether telling the other member about something or not, but in the end he gathered a courage to say it.

“Well... for me. Actually there’s something that I’ve been kept for a long time. It’s about us, foreign members, whether it’s me, Jun, The8 or even Vernon. I’ve always feel that it’s harder for me as a foreigner to adapt not only in the practicing, but also in language and culture here. Sometimes I just feel left out... I’m not saying that you all didn’t treat me well nor I want a special treatment. In fact, you all have been so kind to me, but sometimes I want you all to guide me about the culture here too. I’ve always confused about things here, like for this, for that. I just hope I can understand more. I also feel that it must be really harder for Jun and The8, since they’re originally not a Korean. I just hope that you all can understand.”, Jisoo didn’t realize that tears have been flowing on his cheeks. The members looked down and some have tears as well, especially Junhui and Myungho.

“Hyung...”, Sooyoung who is besides him is try to comfort Jisoo.

“Joshua, I’m sorry that I’ve never pay any attention to that thing. Same goes for you two, Junhui and The8. I’m sorry that I didn’t think of that about you two. I’ll try to be a better guide to you all, so you’ll never feel left out anymore, okay? Not only me, but all of us, right?”, Seungcheol added. Everyone nod in response.

“Thank you guys.”, Jisoo smiles. ‘These guys... they’re not only friends, they’re really like family.’

Mingyu POV

‘Jisoo hyung... I’m sorry that I’ve never paying attention to that as well. You’re always smile everytime, but I didn’t know you hold so much burden like that. I’m such a worst fan...’, Mingyu feels guilty and his heart in so much pain.

“Next, Mingyu... is there anything you want to say?”, Seungcheol diverts his gaze to Mingyu.

‘I must use this chance to talk to Jisoo hyung. I want to say sorry to him...’

“Mm... for me. I’ve been close to everyone, so I just want to say that I hope we’ll stay close to each other and never change.”, Mingyu said in bright tone and everyone smile to him.

“But... I have something to talk to Joshua hyung. I’m so sorry, hyung. You’re always care to everyone, to me, but I didn’t know your burden. I’m so sorry. And I feel like among everyone, you’re the least close with me. So I hope we can be more close in the future.”, Mingyu looked to his lap while saying that.

‘He’s so nice. Mingyu is so nice, but...’, Jisoo thoughts full about Mingyu, but he still proceed to hear everyone’s problems.

After everyone share their problems, they gather to shout ‘Fighthing’ and they do a group hug. Their first night there ended like that.

Mingyu POV

‘Ah finally our last mission ended. Are we succeed in bringing 1000 audiences?’, Mingyu unsure whether they’ve been success or not. Now, Seventeen members are lined up in hope they’re success and get their rings back. Their showcase was done, everyone have been worked hard up until that day. Now, they just waiting for the result.

“You all have been worked hard, but to be honest, your rings aren’t with me.”, Their CEO comes and delivering such a shocked news for the boys. The boys look so surprised, wanting to hear what exactly is happening.

“Please turn back.”, Their CEO commands them. With so much confusion and shock, they still managed to obey their CEO and turned back. With so much surprise, their family stand there, holding their rings. The boys couldn’t hold back their happiness as tears rolling down their cheeks and sobbing can be heard everywhere.

“Mom, Dad... I miss you...”, Mingyu hugged his parents tightly and with no exception, tears rolling down his cheeks.

“Our son must be so tired and have difficult time...”, Mingyu’s mom whipped her son’s tears while giving a heart-warming smile. Mingyu shakes his hide.

“Everyone here so nice to me, so I’m okay, Mom.”, Mingyu smiles, try to reassurring his parents.

“Be strong, Mingyu. You can overcome this. It’s your dream right? I feel it must be harder for your friends from China and America.”, Mingyu’s dad reassurring him while take a look to the China member’s family.

“Yeah, Dad. You’re right.”, Mingyu suddenly thinking about Jisoo. He glanced to Jisoo who is hugging his mother tightly, while both of them crying so much. It reminds him of the day on their trip, when Jisoo talked about his burdens and such in the candlelight ceremony.

‘It must be hard for you, Jisoo hyung. I’m happy that you can meet your mother.’, Mingyu smiles while watching Jisoo and his mother. After a while everyone greet each other’s parents. They treated the boys like their own child.

“Oh you must be Kim Mingyu, right?”, a woman greets Mingyu.

“Yes, Ma’am. Nice to meet...”, Mingyu replies warmly while turning his back. For his surprise, the one who greeted him is Jisoo’s mother. “...you, Ma’am. How do you know me?”, Mingyu smiles, but he can’t hide his nervousness.

“I heard that there’s a tallest one named Kim Mingyu. So it must be you, right?”, Jisoo’s mother chuckles while patting his shoulder gently.

“O..oh. Yo..you’re ..right, Ma’am. Hehe”, Mingyu tried to keep calm, but failed.

“It’s okay. Don’t be nervous, Mingyu.”, she reassurring him, and Mingyu smiles in return.

“You have a nice smile.”, she added.

“Oh, thank you, Ma’am.”, Mingyu then shows his best smile to Jisoo’s mother.

‘She’s so nice. She’s also so pretty. No wonder her son is handsome like that...’

‘Whose parents should I greet next?’, Jisoo looking around him. ‘Oh there!’, Jisoo spotted a woman and come to her.

“Hello, Ma’am.”, Jisoo greets politely.

“Oh hello. Is it, Jisoo?”, she recognized Jisoo right away.

“Yes, I’m Hong Jisoo. Nice to meet you, Ma’am.”, Jisoo confused that she knows him before he introduced himself, but he still managed to answer politely.

“Ah it’s really Jisoo. You’re really handsome and polite like he said to me.”, she said with proud in her tones.

“Excuse me, Ma’am?”, Jisoo getting even more confused.

“Mingyu talked a lot about you. He told me that there’s a member from America who has a handsome face, very polite and kind. And apparently his name is Jisoo. So you are really Jisoo that my son told to me.”, she smiles to Jisoo.

“Ah, really, Ma’am? Thank you.”, Jisoo blushed by her mentions that Mingyu told his mother a lot about him.

‘I wonder what things that Mingyu have told to his mother...’

“Anyway, Jisoo. Please take care and look after of my son, Mingyu. Although he’s really tall and can do many things, he’s still a child who is really clumsy and need someone mature like you. Can you, please?”, Mingyu’s mom sounded like joking, but her expression and sincerity seems really serious about she said.

“Of course, Ma’am. I’ll take care of him. You don’t need to worry.”, Jisoo reassurring her.

“Thank you, Jisoo. You’re really a nice boy.”, she smiles.

“Ah not really, Ma’am.”

After everyone gathered with their parents, now they’re going to perform “Shining Diamond” in front of their parents. Everyone do their best as they can, with Seungkwan is still carrying since he’s so happy to meet her mother or Soonyoung who made a heart during the performance, it’s still one of the most memorable performance for them. But during the performance, Jisoo is still thinking about the ‘promise’ she made with Mingyu’s mother.
