That day, Pledis introduced a new trainee. He can be said to be a handsome, calm and well-mannered boy. His name is Hong Jisoo. He’s from L.A, so he’s fluent in English.

“Hi. My name is Hong Jisoo. Hope we can work together.”, Jisoo said while smiling and bowing at the same time to the other trainees. “Hi, Jisoo. I’m Seungcheol. I heard you’re from L.A? Hope you can adapt in this new environment quickly.”, said one of the trainee, Seungcheol, while giving his fatherly smiles and reach out his hand. “Oh yeah. Thanks, Seungcheol.”, then Jisoo shakes his hand with Seungcheol’s.

After that, all trainees introduce themselves to Jisoo. Then, “Come on everyone! Back to practice!”, said Seungcheol eagerly. “Yes, hyung!”, everyone said in unison. “Oh Jisoo, you can introduce yourself in that room to the camera. You’ve heard about this Seventeen TV thing, right?”

“Ah yeah I’ve heard about that..”

“Good then. You’ll be accompanied by Hansol and Seungkwan, okay? Hansol was born in New York, so he can at least speak English. While for Seungkwan... he’s just great at talking.”, said Seungcheol while sighing.

“Ya hyung! How can you’re like that to me!?”, Seungkwan protests.

“Isn’t that right? Hahaha”, Seungcheol laughs and leaving those three.

“Aish that hyung...”, mutters Seungkwan. But Hansol barely heard that and gives him a pat on his back with a laugh, even Jisoo laugh a little.

“Let’s go there, hyung!”, Hansol said in an excited mode.

“Haha okay, let’s go.”

When Jisoo and two boys going toward the room, suddenly, the practice room door opened loudly. The sudden loud sound makes Jisoo turned around to the sound direction.

Mingyu POV

‘Ah finally I’m done with this toilet!’, Mingyu thought. He smiles to himself while tidy up the cleaning tools. “This isn’t even my fault...”, Mingyu sighed.

Mingyu is one of the ‘oldest’ Pledis trainee to debut as Seventeen member. Behind that tall body and handsome face, he’s an easy-going boy whose close to everyone in Pledis, and that made him liked by everyone. That’s all because he thinks that being close with everyone is an important thing. He’s also a hard-worker and always thinks that every practice they do as one of the most important task to do as a trainee.

But for the very first time, he got a punishment from their trainer. That’s because he late to come at their latest practices. And the reason is because he needs to help Chan with his homeworks, since he just didn’t understand anything and believe that Mingyu is a reliable one to help him.

“Hyung, please help meee~”, Chan said with his killer-aegyo.

“Yah! I need to practice. I’ve to complete the lyrics of my rap.”

“Ah hyung please~”

“No.”

“Ah come on, hyung. I know I can rely on you. You’re always there to help me, right? Pleasee~”

“Okay okay. I’ll help.”, Mingyu sighed in defeat while ruffling Chan’s hair.

“Yay thanks, hyung! You’re the best!”, Chan said as he hugs Mingyu tightly.

Mingyu can only smile a little at younger’s acts.

‘Aish.. I’ll come to scold him now.’ Mingyu thought as he hurriedly come to the practice room. He opens the door with all of his power and it made a loud sound.

“YAH! LEE CHAN! YOU...”, Mingyu’s words stopped as he saw a new handsome boy looking straight to him with a surprised yet questioning look. Mingyu was so mesmerized by the boy’s face and look at him for some seconds, before the boy looked away from him first. He looked at the boy with Hansol and Seungkwan as they enter the other room. Mingyu felt his own face getting hotter and feels butterflies in his stomach. He didn’t even realize that Chan is already stands beside him.

Jisoo POV

When Jisoo turned around, he saw a boy who is taller than him and have a pretty handsome face. ‘Why he yelled Chan’s name? And he sounded kind of... angry?’ He doesn’t even know why, but beside of that question inside his head, Jisoo felt warm seeing the boy’s face. But in the other side, he also feels... scared. Then he realize that they’ve stared at each other for some seconds.

‘It looks like it won’t be easy to be here, especially when I’m around him...’, Jisoo thought as he turned around and leave to the other room.

Mingyu POV

‘Wh..what’s this? What kind of feeling is this? I feel strange all of sudden when I look at him. Is the AC in this room turned off? I feel my face getting hotter. Wh.. what’s wrong with me? Why I’m feeling this way seeing at him?’, Mingyu sinks in his own deep thoughts.

“Hyung! Hyung! I’m sorry!! But please don’t mad that much to me, even your face is so red as tomato like that. I promise I’ll pay you back by buying you your favourite ice cream! Please hyung. Hyung!?”, Chan said while shaking Mingyu’s body.

Then Mingyu realized Chan’s words,’M.. my face is getting red? Even worse is as red as tomato? My face is getting red just by looking at him? H.. how can?’, but then he shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts.

“Yeah, Mingyu. Don’t you mad at Chan.”, Wonwoo said calmly as he approaches the two boys. Then Mingyu looks at Wonwoo and gives him an ‘okay’ facial expression.

“Ah it’s alright, Chan. I’m not that mad to you. And I don’t want an ice cream, so you don’t have to buy me one”, Mingyu said in reassuring tone.

“But hyung got punished because of me...”

“It’s o...”

“Haha. Mingyu got punished ~”, said Jihoon as he leaves the room.

“Ah hyung~”, Mingyu whines while look at Jihoon’s back. Then he looks to Wonwoo who slightly laugh at them.

“Ah Wonwoo hyung too please...”, Mingyu pouts, which made Wonwoo burst into laughter. Soon Chan joined Wonwoo and Mingyu frown.

“Anyway, who’s that new [handsome] boy?”, Mingyu asked as he mumbles the ‘handsome’ part.

“Ah it’s Jisoo, Hong Jisoo. He’s a new trainee.”, Wonwoo said while looking at the room Jisoo entered before.

“He’s from L.A., hyung!”, said Chan excitedly.

“Woah... L.A.? Then he must be fluent in English...”

“He must be. Don’t you ever think you can compare your English to him! Haha.”, Wonwoo laughed which soon followed by Chan.

“Ah of course not, hyung...”, Mingyu laughed, join the two boys.

‘Ah so his name is Hong Jisoo. He’s from L.A. and fluent in English. Like what I did to everyone, I must try to be closer with him too. But... what’s that weird feeling though? It’s the first time I’ve ever feel that kind of feeling...’ Mingyu thought as he watched the room that previously entered by Jisoo, Hansol, and Seungkwan.

‘Can I really get closer with him? Can I?’
