Today is Day Two.

Ever since Lizzie died, I have been counting the days from the start. Yesterday was Day One, so today is Day Two. I rock in my chair as the rain beats down heavily on my window pane. My chair is facing my table, and on my table is the camera. The camera shows Lizzie's picture. Her dead picture.

I rock somemore, gazing intently at Lizzie's picture.

And I start to murmur Kibum's name.

Kibum, Kibum, Kibum.

It is him.

There is no one else that would cause Lizzie to commit suicide. I knew the moment the flash on my camera lit up, that it was surely him. No one but me understood how deep Lizzie's obsession with him truly was. She was an introvert by nature and never had any friends, even as a little kid. The only person I had ever heard her mention was Kibum. Lizzie was so strong; but Kibum had killed her. She would have given up her life for him.

And she had.

Rock, rock, rock.

There is a knock on the door.

"Come in," I say.

My mother enters, but I do not turn around to face her. I am still staring at Lizzie's picture. My mother is suddenly screaming again, and she rushes for the camera, but I get there before she does and shield Lizzie away from her.

"Don't touch her," I warn.

My mother takes a step back and looks up at one, her hand at . She gives a little choking sound, and then rushes from my room, calling for my father. I re-position Lizzie on the table and continue with my rocking.

Kibum, Kibum, Kibum.

He was a murderer.

He had caused my sister's death.

There is another knock on my door.

"Come in," I say again, and this time my father enters. I hear his sharp intake of breath as he sees Lizzie, and I am prepared to run if he is going to hurt Lizzie. But he only sits down on my bed and looks at me.

"Teuk," he says.

I continue rocking, oblivious to my name being called.

"Teuk," he tries again, and when I don't respond, he sighs.

"I just want you to know that, Lizzie's death has been hard on all of us. But we're a family, and we should mourn her together," he says, although I am not looking at him but at Lizzie.

"Teuk, come on, let's go down, we have to sort out Lizzie's funeral," he says, putting one hand on my shoulder.

Instinctively I lurch out at him, tackling him to the floor so that his shoulder bone crunches into the marble flooring. I recoil almost immediately, shocked at what I just did, and my father is staring wide eyed at me. I stand still, not knowing what to do, until my father hobbles as quickly as he can out of my room.

I had made my father hurt.

I had made my mother cry.

Did I make Lizzie die too?

No, it was Kibum.

I would make Lizzie smile.
