Psychological Love
Chorong watched Bomi as they walked back to her house. Bomi seemed to be in thought, her eyes slightly vacant. The old Bomi was definitely starting come back, and Chorong knew that it was about time that she confronted the girl. The sun had almost completely set, and it illuminated everything with a comforting, orange glow. This would most likely be the last day that Bomi would be like this. Well, iff Chorong's confrontation worked. "Bbom-ah," Chorong called out.
"Yeah Unnie?" Bomi said, turning her head to her.
"You know I love you, right? No matter what." Chorong met eyes with Bomi who was looking at her with a smile.
"Of course! I love you too, Unnie." Chorong broke eye contact with the younger girl. That sentence most likely would never leave Bomi's mouth so easily after tonight.
"Good." When they finally got back to the house, Chorong felt her nerves building up. This was it.
"Bbom-ah, come here for a bit?" Chorong asked as she made her way to the couch. Bomi nodded and followed her, sitting next to the older girl.
"Yeah, Unnie?" Chorong took in a deep breath, then turned to face Bomi, looking into the younger girl's lighter eyes with her darker ones.
"Bbom-ah, I need you to tell me the truth. You remember something, right? You're starting remember things, right?" Chorong saw Bomi visibly stiffen, and her eyes pulled away from her's.
"I-I need to go do something, Unnie. I'll be back," Bomi stuttered, hastily getting up and moving to leave, but Chorong grabbed Bomi's wrist, forcing her to stay immobile.
"Bomi-ah. It's time to stop. You have to stop running," Chorong said, a pleading tone in her soft voice. Chorong felt the muscles in Bomi's arm tighten.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Let me go," Bomi said, her husky voice had turned quiet.
"I know you remember things, Bomi-ah. I know you don't want to. But you can't stay like this forever. It'll only hurt you."
"Stop."
"I know how much pain you went through, but you can't hide from your past forever, Bbom-ah."
"Stop." Bomi's voice had gotten louder, and Chorong could feel Bomi's hand clenching and unclenching in her grip.
"I'll be here for you when it hurts. I'll be here for you whenever, so please Bomi-ah. Try to re-"
"Shut up!" Bomi whirled around, and Chorong found herself looking into Bomi's angry and pained eyes before the younger girl suddenly grabbed Chorong by her shoulders, and slammed her into a cabinet. A resounding crash sounded through the house, and Chorong suddenly became aware of a dull throb in her upper right arm. She kept the pain in. She needed to finish what she had started.
"No. I'm not going to shut up. I care about you too much, Bbom-ah. I-I love you too much. You keeping back your memories like this is only going to hurt you more. I don't want that. Please, Bomi-ah. I know you know the right thing to d-" Chorong was cut off when she suddenly felt Bomi lean against her, and something warm and wet soaked through her shirt.
"It-It hurts, Chorong-ah. It really hurts..." Chorong felt Bomi suddenly become limp in her arms, and alarm flashed thorugh her. She reached up to try and shake the younger girl, but only gave a yelp as pain seared through her arm. Just then, the front door slammed open with a bang to let in a frantic Eunji and Naeun.
"Chorong-unnie! Chorong-unnie! Are you okay?!" Eunji and Naeun both stopped in their tracks when they saw Chorong pinned between an unconscious Bomi and the cabinet, along with the shattered remains of a bowl beside them.
"Guys, a little help here? I think Bomi passed out," Chorong said, her teeth gritted as she fought against the growing pain in her arm. Eunji and Naeun snapped out of their shock and ran over to help the older girl, Eunji pulling Bomi off of Chorong and Naeun helping Chorong up. Suddenly, Naeun gave a shriek.
"Oh my god! Chorong unnie!
