At five, Yuri’s phone sounded to wake her, but she was just stepping from the bathroom towelling her hair. She sat at her vanity and wiped a stray drip from her nose, firmly deciding to put a little extra effort in today.

A few buildings away, Tiffany slapped at her alarm sending the offending beep back to sleep for ten more minutes. Her lazy half asleep body rolled all over on the bed she wanted to cling to the sleep she was probably dreaming of something nice, and she just wanted to stay cozy in her bed. As the grogginess began to fade her mind started painting a picture of what her day would be like, remembering back to the evening before she remembered that fluttery feeling she had when Yuri

confessed her intentions, she was excited, there was something uncertain about the future, something that was previously unplanned. Yuri was going to be penning herself into the story of Tiffany’s life and she wanted nothing more than for the morning to hurry up and be seven already.

Yuri stepped out into the still cool air of the morning and breathed heavily out of her nose, two faint tendrils of breath blew from her nose, she placed her hands akimbo on her hips and nodded to herself.”Let’s do this” she said in one final internal cheer. Left foot forward she took off towards Tiffany’s.
