Along the journey….

Donghae is smiling.

We are in a fancy restaurant. We go inside, and I say, “Wow, Donghae, this is wonder….”

“Hi kids!”

“Hi, halmeoni, harabeoji!”

…..ful. What?! Halmeoni, harabeoji? I look around and, there, I see my grandparents. I thought it’s a….

We walk to the table where my grandparents are. My grandparents sit next too each other. I am going to seat in front of my grandma. Then…

Donghae pull my chair a bit behind and let me sit. “Take your seat, your highness.”

I stared at him. This is embarrassing, he did that in front of my grandparents.

“What?” I asked my grandparents, which are giggling right now.

“Nothing Sooyeon. Order food now,” said my grandma.

“Can I order again later halmeoni?” asked Donghae.

“AAAAA” shouted Donghae. I stepped on his foot. He looks at me and give me a why-are-you-stepped-my-foot look. I glare at him. And again, my grandparents are giggling.

“One sirlojn steak please,” said Donghae.

“One carbonara spaghetti please,” I said to the waiter.

“Okay, one sirloin steak and carbonara spaghetti. How about the drink?” asked the waiter.

“Halmeoni, harabeoji, you don’t order?” I asked them.

“No, we ordered already,” said grandpa.

“I want one lime squash with ice cream on top,” said Donghae.

Huh? Lime squah? Ice cream on top? What is that?

“One strawberry smoothies please,” I said to the waiter.

“Okay. Your food will serve in 15 minutes.”

After 15 minutes….

“Here, one lime squash with ice cream on top, one strawberry smoothies, one sirloin steak and carbonara spaghetti. Enjoy!” said the waiter.

“Thank you,”

“Halmeoni, harabeoji, where are you food?” I only can see their drink, 2 hot green tea.

“We ate already.”

“Huh?”

“Yes, and I think…” looking at the watch, “we need to go now. I want to buy some food for tomorrow. I’ll cook for tomorrow,” said grandma.

“Yes, we better go now. Bye kids,” said grandpa.

“How about me?”

“Well, Donghae is here, you can go home with him later,” said grandpa.

Hah? I looked at him, he give me a joke smile. What is that?

“Bye kids.”

“Bye, halmeoni and harabeoji. Take care!” said Donghae.

“Hm, excuse me Ms. Sooyeon, I want to go to bathroom,” said Donghae.

I just keep quiet. I see him walking to the bathroom. Should I go now? But, later my grandparents will get angry. Uuuhhh.

He comes back from the toilet, and sit in front of me.

“Let’s eat.” He said and smiled. I look at him, his face looks different. He looks more-----mature. We eat and enjoy our food. And then…

“Hm.. Jessica,”

“Yes?”

“I ww—want to say some—thing.”

“Say what?”

KRRIIIINNNGG…..

“Wait a minute,” I said to him and take my phone. Uh? Who’s number is this?

“Hello,”

“Hello, it’s me Kyuhyun,”

“Oh, Kyuhyun, what’s wrong?”

“Hmm, have you research? I am going to check tomorrow.”

Oh gosh! I forget!

“Oh, yea, thank’s for reminding me,”

“Hmm, Donghae, I am sorry, I have a lot work to do,” I said to him while tidy up all things. And then after that, I look up and…

He looks at me with blank stares.

“Helloooooo” I waved my hand in front of him.

“Uh, yea, sure…” He ask for the bill, and then put amount of money on top of table.

“Let’s go now”
