Joo Yeon’s P.O.V.

It was Saturday and I was working at the café.

It was 7:58 a.m.

Two more minutes to open the café. I did some last cleaning on the counter.

The bell rings as someone entered the café.

I looked down to my wrist watch, 8 a.m.

I looked up to the figure.

Heol. It was Jungkook.

Wearing sports jacket, shorts & sport shoes. All sweaty with a hand towel around his neck.

“What’s wrong with-”

“As usual please.” He said, sitting down.

I chuckled.

I turned around and started making his Caramel Macchiato.

I went to his table and put it in front of him.

I crossed my arms.

“I was working out this morning and jog a few laps around the area.” He explained.

“I didn’t ask.” I chuckled.

“But you looked curious.” He said, taking his drink and sipped it.

“Man I’m tired.” He yawned.

“Then go home.” I said, turning away.

“Yah.”

I stopped, turning around.

“What?”

“Sit with me for a bit.”

“Jungkook-ssi, I got work to do.”

“No you don’t and besides, it’s still early.”

“No-”

I heard the bell rings and I turned around.

Oh it’s just Kangjun oppa.

“Oh? Seems like you’re already close to your crush huh, Yeon?”

I facepalmed.

“Oppa.”

“I knew you had a crush on me.” Jungkook said.

I glared at him.

“I don’t!”

“But last time you said that he’s your crush.” Kangjun continues.

“Oppa! I didn’t say that! I said I was a fan of his.”

“That’s the same!”

“No it’s not-”

“Okay okay enough. Hyung, can she sit with me for a bit?” Jungkook asked.

I looked at Kangjun oppa, shaking my head.

“Say no say no” I mouthed.

He giggled.

“Sure.” He answered.

“Ah oppa!” I shouted.

“Enjoy your date, bye!” He said and went into the staff room.

I glared at Jungkook.

“He said yes. So sit down.”

I groaned and sat down across him.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“Nothing. Just sit there until a customer comes or something.” He said.

I rolled my eyes.

“Hey give me your phone.”

“Huh? What for?” I asked.

“Ppalli.”

I took out my phone from the pocket on my jeans.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

“What are you going to do?” I asked.

He rolled his eyes, bending over and took my phone from my hand.

“Y-yah-”

“Shut up.”

He typed something and gave it back.

I took it almost immediately.

I looked down.

Oh he saved his number on my phone.

“Eii.” I glared.

“Call me if you need something.”

“I don’t need anything from you.” I said, putting my phone back in my pocket.

“Yes you do.”

“What?”

“My protection.”

I scoffed.

“No I don’t.”

“Ei just call me if you have any problems, emergency or anything. Arraseo?”

I looked away.

“Fine. I guess.”

He took his cup and sips his coffee.

“Yah.” He said.

“What?”

“What do you think of me?” He asked.

I raised an eyebrow.

“What do you mean?” I asked back.

“I mean, what do you think of me? As a friend, a classmate or something?”

“An enemy.” I answered.

He frowned.

“An enemy? Seriously?”

I nodded.

“I hate you. So I consider you as an enemy.” I said.

He looked away for a sec and took out his phone, starting to play with it.

It was quiet, too quiet that it suffocates me.

I watched as he plays with his phone.

Why did he even asked me to sit with him when he’s not even talking to me.

I pouted, glaring at the figure infront to me.

“Forget it.”

“Don’t move.”

“Wae?”

“I’m taking pictures of you.”

“Yah!” I stood up, walking over him.

Turns out that he was playing a game.

“Ei, I was just kidding. Why would I take pictures of you?” He chuckled.

I smacked his back.

“Ouch! That hurt!” He glared.

I rolled my eyes and walked to the counter.

“Hey, get back here.”

“Sit by yourself, idiot.”

Jungkook’s P.O.V

I was on my way home.

I smiled by myself, staring down at my phone.

I actually did take her pictures.

I laughed at the sight.

There are pictures of her glaring at me, pouting her lips, her blank face and others.

And I suddenly remembered her words.

“I hate you. So I consider you as an enemy.”

My smile turned down.

So she still hates me.

I sighed and-

Ttaenggg-

Ouchhh.

I walked into a pole.

I stepped back and touched my forehead.

People who were passing by giggles at me.

I was so embarrassed.

Aish, this is all your fault. I blamed on her picture.

I groaned.

I quicken my pace and went back home.

Joo Yeon’s P.O.V.

12:45 P.M.

The café was quite busy as I continue to work.

The door bell rings.

“Welcome!” I greeted, not looking up as I was still making drinks for the earlier customer.

As soon as I’m done, I went back and gave to the drink to the customer.

“Have a nice day.” I smiled and the person walked away.

I looked up at the next customer.

My face fell.

Kai.

I watched as he approached me.

He looked like a mess.

Old ragged shirt, shorts, messy hair.

Is that how a rich kid dressed like?

Did he just woke up or something? Gosh.

I tried to act normal as if I don’t know him.

“Hello, what would you like to have?” I asked.

He crossed his arms.

“You smiled to the other customer, why are you frowning at me?”

Oh gosh.

I forced a big smile.

He chuckled.

“Iced Americano.” He said.

I turned around and started making his Americano.

Why is he here?

I covered the cup with its cover and turned back to him.

I put it on the counter.

“That will be 11,200 won.” I said.

He handed the money and I took it, putting it in the cash register.

I watched as he went to a table, sitting down and glanced at me.

I looked away.

I leaned by back against the counter to rest a bit.

I took out my phone, I stared at Jungkook’s contact number.

Should I tell him that Kai’s here?

Ah ani.

I don’t want to look like I need him or his protection.

I can’t rely on him.

But what if Kai do something to me?

I bit on my lower lips.

Should I call or not?

Ah ani I don’t need him.

I put away my phone.

/A few hours later.

Time flied, and he didn’t anything so far.

He just sits there, playing with his phone, glancing at me time by time.

When will he leave?

I rolled my eyes, annoyed.

I continued to watch him.

He glanced down at his watch, his eyes grew big and he quickly stood up.

Yes, leave. Please.

He took his bagpack and went to the restroom.

Eiish.

The door bell rings.

It was Jessica unnie who lived next door.

I smiled at her as walks towards the counter.

 I greeted her cheerfully.

“Sica unnie! Hi!”

“Annyeong, Joo Yeon-ah. It’s been a long time huh?”

“Nae, it sure is.”

“I was so busy on my new boutique that I rarely even come home. How have you been?” She asked.

She has always been a caring and a nice neighbor. She’s like a big sister to me.

“I’m fine unnie, thank you.” I grinned.

She nods.

“Ah, what would you like to have?”

“Iced Latte.”

I nodded.

“5 minutes.” I said, turning away to make her Latte.

After I was done, I turned back to her and put it on the counter.

“It will be 9,200 won.” I said.

She handed the money and I put it in the cash register.

“As always Joo Yeon ah, if you ever need something just call me, arraseo?”

I nodded happily.

“See you around!” She bids.

I bowed my head.

“Thank you. Bye!” I waved as she walked out.

I turned to my side as I saw Kai came out of the restroom.

My face fell.

He changed into a black suit & tie, wearing leather shoes & his hair was.. Wow. He looked so classy. Now he actually looks like a real rich kid.

I stared at him.

He stopped mid way and looked at me.
