Chapter 14.

"Apology."

 

Joo Yeon’s P.O.V

 

 I didn’t go to school today.

I still can’t seem to think straight.

So I went to the café to work fulltime today.

A few hours later as school was over, Mark came.

He greeted with a glare at the entrance then marched towards me.

“Hi, Mark Tuan.” I smiled amusedly at his expression.

“Why didn’t you go to school?” He narrowed his eyebrows.

“I told you last night. I’m still puzzled.”

“Yeon I know you’re trying to avoid Jungkook and Kai but it doesn’t mean you don’t have to go to school.” He crossed his arms.

“Alright I’ll go to school tomorrow.” I pouted.

He sighed.

“People were talking about you.” He said.

“Huh?”

“Kai and Jungkook fought at the class, yelling and screaming about you.”

Aishh.

I slapped my forehead.

“I’m dreaming right?”

“Yeon..”

“You gotta be kidding me!”

Damn it.

“Yeon relax, for now let’s get you home first. Cause I’m positive they will come here.” Mark said.

“But I’m working-”

“It’s okay, you can go.”

I turned around.

Kangjun smiled at me.

“Seriously?”

He nodded.

“Kamsahabnida.” I bowed my head.

“Aigoo, it’s fine. Now go.”

I changed my clothes then went out with Mark.

 

I walked pass my seat which was next to Jungkook’s and went to sit beside Mark.

He welcomed me with a smile.

“Joo Jung Yeon why are you sitting there?” J.R came.

Some of our classmates heard and they stare at us.

I cleared my throat.

Mark gave him a look and he understood right away.

He took the seat next to Jungkook’s.

“Oh? Jung Yeon why aren’t you sitting on your seat?” Park Hye Jung asked.

I looked at her.

“I-”

Just then, Jungkook walks in.

They all turned their head to him.

He saw me and I rolled my eyes.

He walked to his seat.

“What’s wrong with you guys?” Someone asked.

“Mind your-”

Jungkook and I said at the same time.

He glanced at me and I turned away, shutting my mouth.

“Mind your own business.” He finished his words.

 

Kai’s P.O.V

 

I walked in the class and I saw Joo Yeon.

She wasn’t sitting next to Jungkook.

I smirked and went to my seat.

I watched them.

“Why were you absent yesterday?” Jimin asked her from his seat.

“I-”

“She was sick.” Mark answered instead.

“Oh, uh yeah.” She nodded.

Sick, pfft.

No you weren’t.

I glanced at Jungkook but he doesn’t seem to care.

Great then.

“Joo Yeon, is it Kai or Jungkook?” Someone asked.

I sat up straight, taken aback.

“Yah.” I snapped.

“Why Kai? Scared of her answer?” Jungkook interrupted.

I frowned and clenched my fist.

I stood up.

“Watch your mouth.”

“Joo Yeon. Is it true that you and Jungkook are just fake dating?” Someone asked.

I sat down and stared at her.

It took awhile for her to answer.

“Yes.” She said while she stare at Jungkook.

And he frowned.

I smirked again.

Thus, the class was filled with whispers, murmurs and so.

“Jungkook made it up, am I right?” I asked on purpose.

Now Jungkook’s face looked horrible.

Joo Yeon’s  face changed and she looked away from Jungkook.

I frowned.

“No.” She answered.

I could feel my blood boiling.

“So you did?” Park Hye Jung asked.

“Yeah. I told him to.” She said instead, fumbling with her fingers.

Why is she lying?!

Oh gosh.

Mark put a hand on her shoulder.

 “Stop it.” He said.

Their murmurs got louder.

“Yah, Jung Joo Yeon you don’t have any shame do you?”

Just in time, Mrs Lee came in.

“Why are you guys so loud?” She glared.

 

Joo Yeon’s P.O.V

 

P.E class.

 

“Yah, Jung Joo Yeon. Aren’t you going to do it properly?” Mr Kim yells at me.

I was daydreaming.

My mistake.

“Run around the field 10 rounds.” He commands.

“Ah ssaem!” I whined.

“Go now!” He resisted.

I heard giggles.

I groaned and ran to the track.

I ran slowly, more like jogging.

“I said run!” He yelled again.

Aish.

Until I felt a hand on my back, slowly pushing me.

I turned my head.

It was Kai.

“He said run.” He said.

“I-I heard him.”

I looked forward.

“Why did you lie?” He asked.

“I’m running don’t talk to me.” I said.

“Answer me.”

“Just because.” I said, panting.

“You’re lying again.”

I felt him slowing then stops.

Then Mark shows up next to me.

“Don’t mind him.” He said.

I hummed.

“You idiot. Pay attention next time. In your face.” He glares.

I smacked his arms.

“Meanie.”

“I’m kidding, kiddo. Are you okay?”

“Of course I am.”

“Yah, let’s see. Who can finish 10 rounds faster. Bye!” He said then speeds away.

“Hey! Wait!” I yelled, catching up.

I was on the 6th lap and I was breathless.

Mark slows down too.

“Yah, Mr Kim is gone. Let’s stop?” He suggested.

I looked around.

He wasn’t there.

I nodded, sneaking away with Mark.

We sat on the ground, panting hard.

“Done with the 10 rounds?”

I gulped.

I turned my glance to Mark.

We looked up to Mr. Kim together.

“Y-yes.” I answered.
