Chapter 10.

"Finally."

Camp Day.

Joo Yeon’s P.O.V

I was still asleep.

Until I heard my phone ringing.

I groaned and rolled to my side and took my phone.

I answered the call.

“What?” I yawned.

“Yah! You’re still sleeping!? I’m outside the building! The bus is leaving in 30 minutes!”

It was Mark.

My eyes widened.

“What bus?- What?! Oh my god! Wait for me!”

I ended the call and jump out of the bed.

I can’t believe I overslept.

I grabbed my towel and rushed into the bathroom.

10 minutes later, I ran out and quickly dressed myself.

Thank god I’ve packed last night.

I grabbed my bag pack and my sling bag.

I took my phone and ran out.

Locking the door behind and then rushed into the elevator.

I looked down at my phone.

7:00.

The buss is leaving in 10 minutes.

The elevator went down and ran out of the building.

I saw Mark’s car and I slide into the back seat, next to Mark.

I greeted his mother.

“Good morning Mrs Tuan. I’m so sorry for being late.” I panted.

“Oh dear, good morning. No, it’s okay.  How are you?” She asks as she turns her head to me.

“I’m fine, thank you.”

“How was the cookie?” She asked.

“It was delicious, I loved it. Thank you so much.” I grinned.

“Mom can we go already?” Mark groans.

“Pshhh, fine.”

The car started moving.

“How can you oversleep?” Mark glares.

“I’m so sorry, I was so excited last night that I couldn’t sleep until 4 am.”

He rolls his eyes.

“Have you eaten breakfast?” He asked.

Just in time, my tummy growls.

“… Yes.”

“Liar.” He took out something from a plastic bag.

Donuts!

“Here, eat up.”

“Gomawo.” I grinned sheepishly.

He motioned me to turn around and I did.

I ate while he combs my hair.

“Gomawo..” I mumbled again with my mouth full.

“Shut up.”

We queue in front of the busses.

I scanned the crowd.

There are quite a lot of students who made it.

Around 30-40, I guess.

There’s Park Yoon Mi and her friends, she glared at me and I rolled my eyes.

I can see Kai and his gang, I sighed.

Then, I saw Jin and his friends but I don’t see Jungkook anywhere.

I crossed my arms.

Is he going?

“Okay kids, get in. Don’t rush!” Mrs. Kim announced.

I guess not, hm.

I dropped my gaze at the ground as we started boarding the bus.

I sat down at a row in the middle and Mark sat by my side.

I rested my head against the window and looked at the other bus.

I sat up right at stared.

That’s Jungkook. He came.

He was walking down the aisle and sat down at a row in the middle.

I watched him as he sat down.

He glanced for a second at me and looked away.

But then he looks at me again.

His eyes widen.

I don’t know why.

“I want to sit here.”

I looked up.

Kai.

.

He was talking to Mark.

“I sat here first.” Mark didn’t want to move.

He was clearly not in the mood this morning since I was late.

Kai pulled him up by his coat collar.

“Yah!” I glared at Kai.

Mark pushed his hands away and changed his seat behind me.

I frowned as Kai sat beside me.

“Hi.” He said.

I rolled my eyes and stood up, wanting to sit somewhere else.

But he rested his feet across the front seat as he glares at me.

“You’re not going anywhere.”

I sighed and sat back down.

I took my earphone out, plugging them in my ear.

This is gonna be a long ride.

I was struggling to set up my tent as I don’t know a thing about it.

I sat there for a second and scanned the camp site.

I saw Jungkook, helping out Park Yoon Mi to set up her camp.

I frowned and looked down.

“Jealous much?”

I looked up.

Kai was sitting there.

I glared at him.

“Can you just stop?”

“Stop what?” He tilted his head.

“Stop watching me! You’re not even helping.” I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

“Oh how cute.” He chuckles, standing up, nudging me away.

Ugh.

I stepped back.

“You could’ve asked.” And he bent down, setting up the tent.

“Heol.”

Mark went up to me.

“What is he doing?” He asked.

“Can’t you tell? I’m fishing.” Kai answered, sarcastically.

“Why didn't you told me?.” Mark hissed.

“You were busy.” I said.

“I can spare some time for you.”

“Maybe next time.” I shrugged at him.

He nods and walked away.

I sat down and waited.

After a good 20 minutes.

Kai stood up,

“There, done.”

“Oh.” I stood up, placing my bags into the tent.

“What? No thanks?” He chuckled.

“I will never thank you, Kim Jongin.” I looked up at him.

He smirked.

“You're welcome.”

He walks away as Lu Han called him.

I sighed in relief as he was out of sight.

After a few minutes, a few students started to set up stoves to cook for lunch.

I walked over to Mark and the others.

“Hey.” He grinned at me.

“Hi.” I said and sat next to him.

“You’re sweating.”

“I know. It’s so hot here.” I groaned.

He grabbed a tissue and wiped my forehead.

“Oi, get your hands off of her.” Someone snaps, throwing an apple at Mark, which he caught professionally.

I looked across the table.

It was Jimin.

“Why? You jealous?” Mark chuckles, throwing the apple back at him.

“Not me. This guy right here.” He said, throwing his arms at someone.

Jungkook groaned, pushing Jimin’s arms away from his shoulders.

I blushed.

“Yah.” He knocks Jimin’s head, earning a cry.

I looked away, hiding a smile.

After lunch, we played paint ball.

I was on the blue side, along with Mark, Jimin, also Jungkook and others.

We played against the red team, which have Kai and the others.

We lined up, facing the each other.

I met Kai’s eyes. I gulped.

“Don’t worry, I will play hard on you.” Kai pouted at me.

My tummy twisted.

“Worry about what? She has her body guards with her.” Jimin wrapped his right arms around my shoulder and Mark’s on the other side.

I smiled at them.

I saw Kai’s smile fade.

The game was intense, nerve wrecking.

I was hiding behind a tree, panting hard.

I was exhausted.

Our blue team is leading.

There’s 4 remaining in our team.

Which is Jimin, Jungkook, Mark and me.

The red team has only Kai left.

Kai is after me from the very start, but he couldn’t get me.

I heard footsteps from behind.

I stood up, peeking behind the tree.

I saw Kai, facing the other way.

It’s my chance!

I stepped out of the tree, unfortunately at the same time Kai turns around.

He smiled, pointing his gun at me.

I pointed mine at him.

“Don’t you dare.” I hissed.

I pulled the trigger and nothing came out.

Oh I forgot, I was out of paint bullets.

I threw my head back and put my gun down.

“Aww, poor you.”

“No no Kai, wait.”

I really didn’t want to lose.

And there was a shooting sound.

I looked down at my vest.
