Eunji continue her journey exploring her campus until she finally found her class, she’s really excited to do all of her learning activities here, put it simply she can’t wait for tomorrow.

After she was done in her university she went to her workplace, she’s working part time job on a small florist shop. The owner of the shop is really nice to eunji, she said that eunji looks like exactly her granddaughter.

Up until know eunji manage to live by the money she’s earn by herself, thanks to her attitude, hardwork and her intelligence she’s doing well all this time. The first time she get the job offered as a florist is because she saves jihyo ahjumma from a car accident.

That summer, she was strolling the street just to chill her mind after the exam, when the street become quite busy she decided to rest a bit in a nearby park bench in front of the florist, at first she was stunned by the beautiful lilly  in the florist. She like lilly a lot.

After a minute of admiring the flower her attention shift to a beautiful ahjumma that hold a couple set of flower pot and seem a bit unbalanced. She decided to help her and then she realizes that there’s a car that speed of to that ahjumma direction.

Without hesitation she began sprint off and hug the ahjumma and push herself to the roadside avoiding the car.

“ahjumma gwenchana?” she ask after the car passed by

“I’m going to crush that car the next time we meet” she said angrily to the car that almost hit both of them

“I’m okay young lady, but my pot they were all shattered” said the ahjumma sadly

“mianhae, I wish I can save the pot too” eunji said thingking that it was her fault the pot broke into pieces

“silly you duhh, I owe you my life this pot means nothing I can just by a new one, so what is your name lady savior?” said the ahjumma gives eunji a reassuring smile

“Eunji imnida!” said eunji cheerfully while helping the ahjumma clean the shattered pieces of the pot

“Jihyo imnida, well thank you for saving me. It’s all because that workers of mine that suddenly get married and leave me alone” said ahjumma grumble to herself

“well it’s not that I’m not happy for her it just that now I have to do this all alone, upss I’m talking to much aren’t i? you must be thingking of me such annoying old lady” said ahjumma again

“no not at all in fact I’m curious is it the position of your former worker still available, hehe” said eunji nervously. Is not that eunji has no shame for suddenly asking for a job but then again she need money. Eventho at school all the teacher said that they were hudred percent sure that eunji will get a full scholarship but she still need to paid for her daily necessity as well and it sure cost a lot of money since she was in university now and she needs money to keep up with her collage, such as buy medical book and etc.

“omo are you interested? Well I own that florist over there, across the park, you can start working tomorrow if you want, from the looks I can tell that you’ll be starting off collage soon. You can make it as a part time job then, cause this florist also a café so we’re open till night but not that late, is it okay with you?” said ahjumma excitedly

“of course it’s okay. I’ll make sure to come early tomorrow. Kamsahamnida” said eunji smile cheerfully and help the ahjumma to her florist.

The next morning came early to the florist

“omo you here early eunji” said ahjumma smiling next to eunji

“ne, I want to start working as soon as possible” said eunju cheerfully

So that’s how eunji work with jihyo ahjumma and her florist. She enjoy her job, in fact she loved it very much. Ahjumma treat her as a friends, as her own daughter, and she can ask for more. Eunji always feel lonely most of her life, she doesn’t even remember her parents, all she remember is living in orphanage and meet jiyong when she was in elementary school.

Jiyong, oppa, he was eunji first friend. She is the quaite type in school, so she was a loner. She never really had friends in fact she has a lot haters back then.

One day when she was going to her home (orphanage), eunji feel like she was been followed,she start  walking faster and then she fall, when she look back she can see her classmates already surround her. Most of them were boys that always pick on her and few girls that really hate her according to what she’s been hearing from them eventho she didn’t know what mistakes did she did to make they hate her.

“uhh, look what we have here little poor eunji” sadi hyeri pull eunji hair

“is she mute now, hey speak up you trash” said krystal screaming in her ear

“i..i..im sorry” said eunji with tears begin to build in her eyes

“we will let you go but you have to answer our question first how’s that sound?” ask one of the boy

“i..i will” said eunji while holding the pain because of hyeri pull her hair.

“where is your parent?” said junhong

“i..i don’t know” said eunji shuttering

“don’t lie how come you didn’t have parent” hyeri pull her hair back

“I live in the orphanage” said eunji weakly tears start to roll down in her cheek

“ah I see I guess your mom is a , and she don’t know your father so she decided to bring you to the orphanage after you were born. Your such a bad luck I wonder what more bad luck that you give to the orphanage” said krystal mock her

“ I’m not a bad luck” said eunji defending herself and try to pull away  from hyeri

“ I said shut up! Who told you to speak” slap

She feel her cheeks start to burn and sting, I can’t cry or they will pick on me again because I was weak

But her eyes betrayed her, she start to cry when the pain was to unbearable

“oh look the bad luck is crying” said the boys laughing

“back off” suddenly a deep voice came from behind and separate hyeri from eunji

The mysterious guys held eunji up,

“if you guys tryin to pick on her again I swear I will tell the police about this now leave before I call the police “

They guys look at each other before decided to go, as expected from a bunch of kid  said jiyong in his head before looking on the girl.

“gwenchana?” said jiyong coldly

“n..ne..” said eunji still look down

Jiyong always cold to everyone else, but seeing this girl so shaken up there’s something in his heart that tell him to be nice to her. Meanwhile eunji was in dilemma, she want to say thank you but she was too afraid seeing jiyong stoic face.

“relax I’m not going to hurt you” said jiyong still with his emotionless face

Eunji finally look up to face him, he was a good person eunji said in her mind

“thank..you..umm” said eunji didn’t know how to call her savior

“jiyong, my name” said jiyong cut her off

“thank you jiyong-shi” said eunji more relaxed than before

“ I walk you home” said jiyong start to walking ahead of her

“you don’t have to, I can walk back myself” said eunji follow closely behind him

Strange enough no one talks they just walk to eunji orphanage until suddenly jiyong held his step turn to eunji

“where’s your house” said jiyong

“just few meter ahead” said eunji if jiyong going to take her home then she will let him, no point arguing with him. All she know is that she was feeling glad because she feel that she was being protected by an older brother. Oh how I wish that will come true eunji mind speak.

“were here” said jiyong

Eunji look up and faound herself standing in front of her orphanage, how did he knows that she lives in and orphanage? Does he heard what her friends said earlier? Those question run through her mind, until jiyong cleared his throat and eunji look at him.

“I need to head home” said jiyong

“thank you” eunji muttered that word while jiyong back already faces her and began to walk

“jiyongsshi, can we be friends?” eunji said slowly

Jiyong held in his step before nod slowly, seeing that reaction eunji beam happily and yell

“THANK YOU JIYONG SSHI!!”

Jiyong just walk away, but he can’t hide his lips that began to curved up into a thin smile”

“ck that little girl” said jiyong in his mind.

That was how jiyong became her best friend and her oppa.

Remininscing the old times like this made eunji realizes how gratefull she was to meet ahjumma and jiyong. Those two are the only people who truly cares for her way before she begin to change into an independent girls like she is now.

Those two people are the one that eunji will protect and cherish all her life, the brother of her life and the only woman that treat her like her own daughter.

No matter how hard life could be, never forget how to smile,because sometimes those smiles are the most impotant thing for those people who cared and you cared about.
