PROLOGUE

"What? Bighit's opening an audition? For a girl group?" I whispered as I stare at the poster sticked on the post, trying to remember where I heard it. Bighit...hmm ain't this Bangtan's company? Where Jungkook is working? I gasped. That's right! That's where Jungkook is working. I wonder why the company's opening an audition.

I looked around, scanning the area I'm in now. Seems like nobody's around. I took the opportunity to grab the poster and stuff it in my bag immediately. If anyone saw me right now, they'll think I've gone mad, tearing the poster from the post and even putting it in my bag.

"I better show this to them tomorrow." Was the last thing I whispered before I proceeded with walking.

"What is it that you want to show us?" Minkyung asked Hana, annoyed by the fact that she has to rush out from the cafeteria because of Hana's call. "I was not able to choose the right snack because of this!" She added while shoving almost half of her burger in . The younger ones stared at their eonni in disbelief. 

"Eonni, you just ate...." Heegi said, receiving a look from Minkyung. "I just ate, an hour ago! Do you think that's enough for me?" She drama-ed.

"Hana eonni, don't mind her, what's up?" Minah spoke, ignoring Minkyung's whines.

"Oh yeah," Hana fetched an unfamiliar piece of paper and showed it to everyone. "Bighit's opening an audition, for a girl group."

"Isn't that Bangtan's company?" Hyunhee asked, everyone nodded.

"So?" Minhee questioned, not getting Hana's point.

"Minhee eonni, don't you get it?" Minah sighed. "Don't you get Hana eonni's point?"

"No?" Minhee answered, her brows furrowing as she shakes her head.

"Do you want to audition eonni?" Heegi asked Hana.

"It just looks interesting. It has an individual audition if you want to audition alone and a group audition for those who wants to audition as a group." Hana answered.

"And I've seen your talents guys. I think you might be interested."

"What if we audition then?" Minkyung suggested.

"What can you do Minkyung? Eat?" Minhee joked. 

"Yah, if you see my lyrics and hear me rap, your jaw will probably drop!" Minkyung boasted. Minhee just rolled her eyes at her. "But guys I mean look, Hana and Hyunhee, the dancer line. Me, Haneul and Minah can write lyrics and rap. Heegi, Hyunhee and Minhee can be the vocal line. Guys we can form a group."

"Good point eonni," Haneul commented. "But what about studies?"

"Aye, don't you dream of being an idol? You have talent Haneul eonni, are you gonna waste it?" Heegi told Haneul.

"And besides, you're smart enough to even study anyway." Hana added. 

"So guys you're agreeing on this?" Minah asked. "'Cause I am."

"I'm in!" Hana said, raising her hand.

"This might lead to something nice, then I'm in, too." Haneul said, giving Hana a high five.

"We are in!" Minkyung and Minhee chorused.

"What do you say Hyunhee eonni?" Heegi asked. "This will help you get confidence."

"I don't know....I'm not that good to-" before Hyunhee can continue, the other six already groaned. "What?"

"Hyunhee, you're good, okay? We believe in you, so believe in yourself too." Minkyung told her, receiving nods from the others.

"But what if I fail?" Hyunhee asked once more, still doubting herself.

"You never failed us Hyunhee, and you never will." Minah assured.

Hyunhee scanned everyone's faces, they're all anticipating for her answer. Never did she feel loved before and now she's receiving so much love, and she has someone to believe in her. She smiled gently at them and gave her answer, "Okay, I'm in." Everyone errupted in cheers and claps. "Guys guys!" Minkyung called. She held her hand out, signalling others to put their hands on top of hers, and they happily obliged. "To us, who are the prettiest, hottest rookies of Bighit!" Minkyung shouted. "Yah yah, that's too much." Minhee commented.

"Shut up, I never asked for your opinion." Minkyung replied. She then cleared . "To the prettiest and hottest rookies of Bighit! HWAITING!"

"HWAITIIIING!"

"Fix your movements guys! Be more sharp with your movements! Aish. This is Boy in Luv! Boy in Luv! We have to do well!" Minkyung scolded. "Especially you Shin Heegi and Jung Minah! Aye you both look like bamboos!" She added.

"Eonni what can I do? This is how I dance! I'll fix it okay? Calm down!" Heegi answered back.

"Make sure you fix that okay? Or you'll really get it." Minkyung threatened. "This punk."

"Yah Lee Minkyung, let's take a break." Minhee suggested. Minkyung nodded and clasped her hands together.

"Okay, let's take a break everyone!" Minkyung announced. Everyone flopped down on the wooden floor of Minhee's practice room.

After regaining their breaths, some stood up to get their bottled water to drink. Others stayed on the floor. "Oh, by the way guys." Minkyung spoke, getting their attention. "Have you guys decided on what to perform for the individual auditions?"

"Yes!" Hana answered first. "I'm just gonna dance. I've been practicing at home."

"I'll sing Ailee's U & I eonni, I am practicing at home too." Heegi said, receiving surprised looks from others.

"Yah, you can reach that high? No way!" Haneul commented.

"I can handle, don't worry. I practice twice a day only so my voice will be conserved." 

"Good good, what about the others?" Minkyung gave the others a look.

"Like you eonni, I'll be performing a composed rap, by yours truly of course." Haneul answered.

"Same here, I'll rap about school because there's nothing else to rap about." Minah said.

"I'll be doing dance, rap and singing in my performance." Hyunhee said. "I am working on it eonnis don't worry."

"Wah, Hyunhee is really a complete package." Hana commented.

"Aye eonni don't be like that." Hyunhee said, going back to her shy self.

"I'll perform Yasisi." Minhee casually answered. Now it was her turn to receive bewildered looks. "What?"

"Eonni, you're gonna perform a y number?" Hyunhee asked, receiving a nod from the older one.

"Yes, it's good way of showing off my vocals and show a y concept too. Our group is capable of anything." Minhee explained.

"You mean you are capable of y concepts." Minkyung argued. "I can't imagine myself in y concepts. It's just....eww no."

"Same here!" Haneul agreed.

After their thirty-minute break, they decided to proceed with practicing Boy in Luv for their group audition.

"Hello?" an unfamiliar voice spoke through the other line.

"Yes, who is this?" Minkyung asked politely.

"Are you Lee Minkyung? The one in charge of the group that auditioned one week ago?"

"Ah ne, it's me. Why?"

"Congratulations, your group got accepted and was chosen to be Bighit's rookie girl group."
