(E) Chapter 2                                                                                                                                         Sweat dropped from Chen’s and Baekyoung’s forehead as the two of them lifted the tables and waited for Baekhyun who was pasting the end of the table legs with paper. They had already moved 2 tables and this was the last one. The furniture was incredibly heavy and even just holding it up 2 cm off the ground was hard, how much moving it without a sound? Baekhyun then used the paper and glue from his bag and pasted the paper underneath the leg of the table. Once that was done to all four legs, the two men holding up the table would put the table down and drag it across the floor and there would be just a slight rustle of the paper that wasn’t even noticeable to the boys that were in the room. They all moved silently, moving the last table away from the door. Baekhyun stared at it, the feeling of uneasiness wash over him until his older brother placed a hand on his shoulder. “Stick with me. It’ll be alright.” Baekyoung said as quietly as possible and Baekhyun just nodded. He quietly went to his bag and took out his pencil case, rummaging for awhile before taking out two cutters that he usually used for class. “Hyung.” He said, his hand reaching over to give it to Baekyoung who looked up from tying his shoes before shaking his head. “Give it to Chen.” His head jerked towards the blonde haired boy who was wearing his jacket. “I have this.” The older brother lifted an iron bar and showed it to Baekhyun who gave a sigh of relief. At least he had something to protect himself with; at least he wouldn’t be empty handed. Baekhyun nodded, following his hyungs orders and went over to Chen who was puzzled to why the young boy was actually approaching him. “Here.” Baekhyun mumbled, handing him the cutter. “In case…. So you don’t die.” The small boy then ran away back towards his brother making Chen smile a bit. Before, he would not imagine being with these people. He was friendly, of course. But in a situation like this, he was even surprised they shared him their food.   “Come on…” Baekyoung motioned and they unlocked the door slowly opening it slightly ajar. Baekyoung put his backpack behind him and lifted the crow bar he found underneath the counter before making sure that it was clear, a hand going to Baekhyun's hand to grip it tightly. With a tug, they exited the cafeteria with Chen trailing behind. The halls were silent with no signs of anything and a single sound could not be made since the walls and ground were made of tiles. This type of hall would cause even a needle dropping to echo. Their feet fumbled and Baekhyun bit his lip trying not to tremble when they passed a broken window until Chen stumbled and fell against Baekhyun who gave a squeal.   And behind that broken window was a zombie.   “Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!”   The sound pierced their ears and the three looked behind, their eyes widening. Chen who was behind Baekhyun pushed the cutter out in case and quickly stood up when the zombie who caught sight of them started climbing through the window, his arms pulling himself up over the window ledge. The zombie had black hair and his once sky blue polo was stained dark red. One of his arms were almost cut off and it was obvious that he had a fight with a human who tried to fight him off. What happened to the human, no one wanted to know.   “Run, run, run!” Baekyoung said to Baekhyun and Chen who then started to run while getting chased. Baekhyun looked behind him and almost stopped when he saw the zombies face, the boy exclaiming: “Hyung, it’s Prof. Lee Soo Man!” Baekhyun gasped, the face of the once kind professor that helped him in his thesis statements and blood tests now looked like a tattered man who wanted to gash their insides out. The old man who could hardly walk on a daily basis was now charging towards them at full speed and Chen gasped, turning back just to find himself face to face with the creature. He did the only thing he could do and slashed the old man’s face with the cutter, but much to his surprise, the creature did not even blink as if he had no pain at all. “Move away!” Baekyoung's voice rang out and Chen kicked the creature on the stomach till it staggered backwards and fell into the ground. With much urgency, Baekhyun grabbed Chen's hand and pulled him as his brother had already started running towards the staircase. The old man that had staggered back was now back onto his feet and once again running towards them as if his life depended on it. For some reason, two zombies appeared behind him, another two climbing through the window. They must have been attracted to the noise.   With the amount of zombies running after them, and the fact that they did not even have a proper meal made them feel out of breath. Chen gritted his teeth when he felt a hand graze the back of his head, knowing that it was the hand of once-known Lee Soo Man. It was then Baekyoung knew that running away was not a choice, not when they would soon be surrounded by tens of them in a second. “Grahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…” The wailing grew louder and Chen huffed behind Baekhyun who was still holding his hand tightly. He had to be thankful for the boy, if not he would have given up ages ago. His breath was caught up in his throat and his lungs felt like they were burning. Before he knew it, he was pulled into a storage room and Baekyoung quickly closed the door and locked it. The repeated pounding against the storage room door made them know that these creatures wanted to get in. Either to eat them, or to turn them.   Chen collapsed against the wall and Baekhyun was putting his hands on his head, a trick he learned from his gym teacher when he was st
