“Noona,” Baekhyun answered his phone.

“Hey, I have something to ask you.” She sounded better than she had when they last talked.

“What is it?”

“Do you want to come live with me here?”

“What?” Her question caught him off guard.

“I asked if you wanted to come live with me in America?”

“Why suddenly?”

“Well, I’m feeling better and can leave the hospital, but they recommend that I stay in the states. I know you’ve been alone for a while.”

“I’m almost finished with school though.”

“If school is the only thing keeping you there, I don’t understand why you can’t move.” Was school the only thing keeping him there? It was, wasn’t it? He had no friends; they only person he really ever talked to was Chanyeol. Why did his heart beat faster when he thought of him?

“Noona, I don’t think I can go.”

“Oh why? I really miss you.”

“There’s a reason I have to stay here.”

“Are you going to tell me that reason?”

“Later. I gotta go.” He hung up. He was not okay. He needed to talk to someone. No not someone, he needed to talk to Chanyeol. He had to know if that confession was real. He had to. He couldn’t let this go. He caught a taxi and arrived a Chanyeol house twenty minutes later; it was already past eleven. His
