You peered into the dusty, bound pages
and beheld the worlds inside,
for within the printed letters
was a story of our life.
We did not start together,
but somehow we became.
And each chapter henceforth the beginning of our journey
spurred on hundreds of tales
from the tips of our pens,
about the thousands of miles we walk,
every second we are alive,
and every life we could have lived
even if we don't remember them.
Though now we are old and grow weaker by the day,
our story does not end here.
For when we wake up to our next life,
our tale goes on again,
and like with the wildflowers of blue,
the promise of time will bring me back to you.
