She’s so pretty

Seohyun thought as she stared at Juniel on her laptop’s monitor. They were chatting through the internet using a webcam.

She immediately erased the hint of insecurity within herself. She has no reason to be insecure or jealous of her or to any other woman at that. Yonghwa assured her that. He loved her and that was all she needed to know. And she trusted him

Yonghwa insisted for her to talk to Juniel even after she told him it’s not needed. It was Juniel’s idea in the first place, so she accepted it.

Though, I admit I had this little crush on him. She read Juniel’s message.

One of her eyebrow rose, she must have seen it because she sent the following message

That was just before though

It’s okay. Everybody has a crush on him, she typed

But rest assured, there’s nothing romantic going on between Yonghwa and I. the engagement we had was a stupid idea. I hope it won’t cause any more trouble between the two of you, came her reply

It won’t, don’t worry. And thank you. I appreciate your concern. She typed

This is the least I could do, Juniel replied

I’m sorry too, if your name has been dragged in this issue. The entertainment industry is full of crap, you know, she typed

It’s okay, I fully understand. Thanks for your time Seohyun-ssi. Hope to see you soon, she replied

Me too, Juniel-ssi. I can’t wait to meet you, either, she typed

After they said their goodbyes she turned off her laptop and lay down on her bed staring at the ceiling

She should be relieved after she talked to Juniel but she’s still bothered

Insecurity? Jealousy? Hell! She didn’t even know how to call it

Paranoia! That’s the best term you can use! She told herself. But can she blame herself? She was miles away from Yonghwa and thinking that some other girls-Juniel and a lot of other women- were closer to him, beside him, was causing a lot of turmoil n her. She couldn’t help but get jealous

It seemed like she really had to make choices “You can’t have all the best things in life” so they said. Yonghwa as definitely not on her list of the things she was ready to give up

“It’s now or never, Seo Joo Hyun” she said to herself “If you are planning to quit acting, now is the right time” she’d do it in the name of love

“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND SEOHYUN-AH?!”

She closed her eyes as her manager yelled at her. They were having lunch when she told her what she has decided

“First, you just walked out of the studio like some prima donna that was in dire need of public attention. And now it’s even worse, you’re not going to do the project? Well, you must be out of your mind”

“We haven’t signed the contract yet, unnie. So I don’t see any problem” she answered

“No, you’re wrong. There is a problem. Something’s wrong in that pretty head of yours. No one on his right mind would do such a thing. How many years were you waiting for this big break? This is your dream, Seohyun! We’re talking about your dream here. Are you going to give it up just like that?” she snapped her fingers in front of her face like she was waking her up from a nightmare.

“I don’t know, unnie” she said after a moment of silence “Honestly, I have thought of this a lot of times. I, myself doesn’t know what pushed me to make this kind of decision. All I know is that this is what I wanted to do with my life. Something’s telling me that this is what will make me happy.”

“Gut feel? You’re depending in gut feeling alone? Are you listening to yourself, Seohyun-ah?”

She sighed. How will she ever make her understand?

“Unnie, have you ever been in love?”

That made her stare at her “O-of course” she said after a while
