And I'm standing on a crossroad exactly where I need to be.

-

Today proved to be a success, another achievement to tick the box; a one for the books for Taeyeon along with the many achievements big or small that she listed on. And with Jessica by her side, like always, success felt sweeter.

What Taeyeon couldn't say she writes on pieces of paper; all the complex thoughts clouding her mind she try to translate to words; what little clarity there was going on in her head she picks a pencil to make random sketches that formed illustrations. Soon enough, all those thoughts in words and illustrations came together that before she can count them, they are pages a plenty enough to bind a book.

Those thoughts that come to Taeyeon in sad moments, they form sad letters; the confusion when she's feeling too much, they became a burst of colored illustrations; and all the moments she was happy and loved, they all became love letters of a poet and paintings of an artist for her muse, of her muse.

Taeyeon is bursting into life at being reminded of the one person who stuck by her side. The sparkle in Jessica's eyes tells Taeyeon of the unspoken pride and joy that she shares with her, there's the fondness in her lingering gaze that never fails to make Taeyeon feel ecstatic, if not complete. She couldn't ask for anything better than this, not when Jessica is the best.

Even when Jessica was exhausted and so was Taeyeon, today went well for the book launching, and the sense of fulfillment had kept Taeyeon still giddy throughout the celebration dinner. Taeyeon chats with her friends, people from the press, her editor and beta readers. All night her face plastered with a wide grin even on their short drive; even until they reach home and prepared to call it a night.

Taeyeon is floating and Jessica has been loving every moment of it. How Taeyeon glows with happiness made her heart feel full, like a kid given the free reign to scoop out as many ice cream serving she wants. Jessica grins in total contentment as she looks at the object of her affection. Taeyeon is happy, that's more than enough reason for her to feel elated too.

Being in the comfort of their sanctuary has made Taeyeon feel contented despite the hectic day they had. At eleven in the evening it still felt too early to retire when they are still both high from the success of their day.

They opened a bottle of Jessica's favorite wine to close the night, played one of Taeyeon's vinyl collection on the record player while they sit under their dimly-lit living room. And Taeyeon is glowing that Jessica can't help but stop the woman from taking another sip from her glass of wine, taking it from her hand the glass clink as she places it on the table top, taking Taeyeon by surprise with a seering kiss.

That did it.

Bliss.

Jessica wants her. She kisses Taeyeon with all the love she tries to convey until they are out of breath. She grins wider knowing she had caught the woman off guard as Taeyeon's chest rises and fall in breathing, as she try to get air into her lungs. Talk about taking her breath away, literally.

"You really love doing that." Taeyeon mumbles, lips an inch away from the ones that smoldered hers. Not that she's complaining.

And Jessica smiled a little more, she leaned in as close as she can get, pressing herself on Taeyeon. "I most certainly do, love." she whispered.

Taeyeon brings her eyes up on Jessica, taking in the sight of her blown expression. She can't help but feel in wonder of it all, to be kissing Jessica freely now without worry, no more apprehension clouding her. Taeyeon thinks they really came a long way. She came a long way.

"What are you thinking?" Jessica asks just above a whisper.

"Nothing important."

Jessica tilts her head just slightly on the side, a smile playing on her lips. "Hmm. Then why are you poking your tongue on your cheek?" Indeed a tell-tale sign that her thoughts are starting to consume her.

Taeyeon sweeps her tongue inside before answering. "You notice a lot of things."

"Barely. I just pay attention to you, a lot."

"Hmm. Sweet talker."

Jessica laughs. "Want to know what I'm thinking?"

"Humor me."

Jessica traces her forefinger on Taeyeon's lips before moving closer, almost ghosting her lips on Taeyeon's. "I'm thinking about how I've wanted to kiss you so bad since you sat signing books earlier with men and women fawning at you; how I wanted to kiss you as you laugh to whatever joke your editor was telling you; just grab and kiss you while you talk animatedly to your readers."

Taeyeon's nostrils flared as she felt Jessica's hand squeeze her waist, the other with wandering fingers she now took notice splayed on her back. The thought of what is about to happen has tightened her stomach into knots of anticipation. Under the dim light, Jessica's eyes are darker with fire dancing, and Taeyeon's breath hitched once more. It felt like eons as Taeyeon watches Jessica leans in and finally presses her lips on her own once more.

This time their kiss starts slow, building into a more passionate lock of lips as Jessica's tongue swipes on her lower lip seeking entrance. Taeyeon holds her face and lets her tongue meet hers in a slow dance of give and take. Jessica pulls back slightly and Taeyeon instinctively leans forward to follow, but Jessica stops her with a finger on her lips. "You taste like my favorite wine" she murmurs.

Taeyeon chuckles, "maybe because we just had exactly that. Your favorite wine."

This makes Jessica laugh. Even in the most heated moment they find themselves saying the most random of things, there were short hilarious moment, and it makes everything perfect.

Without letting go of her hold on Taeyeon's waist, Jessica leads them down to the nearest furniture where she intends to do more than kissing her.

-

The view of downtown San Francisco from where the house stands towering is spectacular with a panoramic view overlooking the stunning bay and Golden Gate Bridge. The night sky was calming, even with the absence of stars and the darkness that streches beyond the horizon as Taeyeon and Jessica lay beneath was comforting, and the lights coming from buildings downtown dances making up for the lack of stars. The floor to ceiling glass wall in the living room gave them the breathtaking view of San Francisco at night as they made themselves comfortable sprawled on the daybed directly facing the sight.

The stunning contemporary structure they call home is a perfect representation of Taeyeon and Jessica - located by the hills that hid them, and at the same time half bared to the world yet from a good distance when one passes by the famous bridge; fragile looking with all the glass panels yet with a strong foundation; an open living space that leaves everything in plain sight, no thick walls to hide corners; it's minimalist yet with character that spoke so much in its every square inch. They chose the place together and made the renovations to fit what they need. Jessica remembers that day when they finally moved in, after waiting for the renovations to be completed, she just fell in love with the openess of the interior structure that she and Taeyeon designed.

It doesn't matter that Jessica is a centimeter or two taller, Taeyeon has granted herself the luxury of being the bigger spoon, backhugging the other woman cozy as bare skins touches and tingles. It feels exactly like what Taeyeon craved for the longest of time - warmth and feeling at home. She has s

Chapter 14: To be honest this story is some kind of an eye opener. This gave us glimpses or ideas about how other people feel about themselves. That's why we shouldn't just judge others because we don't know what they're going or been through. Thanks for sharing your story to us, dear author.
