On the day before new year's eve, Hyejin returned to Korea once again to celebrate with her dearest boyfriend, Kyuhyun. In fact, her whole family came down as well. They decide to spend the new year with the Cho family. It was a happy time for the families. The mothers helped prepare the meals in the house. Ahra and Hyejin also helped out. 

During dinner, the families chatted away, having a good time of their lives. Kyuhyun opened a bottle of wine and poured them into the glasses. They made a toast for good and abundance new year. Kyuhyun gave a kiss on Hyejin's temple. When the ladies were helping washing the dishes, Kyuhyun secretly approached Mr Lee. "Excuse me, sir? May I talk to you in private?" he asked. "Sure. Of course. Let's talk over at the corner," said Mr Lee.

The two men went to the other side of the room so no one can hear their conversation. "There is something I want to tell you. It's about my relationship with Hyejin," Kyuhyun begin. Mr Lee just listened. "Okay. What about you and Hyejin?" he asked. Kyuhyun felt nervous about telling what is in his heart. But he knew he has to do it. "We've been reunited again. And I would like to ask for your permission to marry your daughter," he finally said it. 

Mr Lee was surprised. "You do?" he asked. Kyuhyun nodded his head. "I haven't propose to her yet but I will soon," he said. Mr Lee smile and patted his shoulder. "Kyuhyun, my boy. It's really nice that you plan to marry my Hyejin. But there are some things you should know. Being a married man is quite tough. You must be ready to start a family. You have care for your own family. You have to be truthful and loving to your wife and children. You have financial deals to handle. Making money is very important if you want your family to survive." 

Kyuhyun smile at him. "I know, sir. I have thought about all these things. I am ready to handle all that," he said. Mr Lee could see he is ready for marriage. "You are quite a brave young man, Kyuhyun. I know I could entrust you with Hyejin. But I have to talk to my family before I could give you my blessings."

When the Lee family returned home, Mr Lee told his wife and Hyerin about Kyuhyun's marriage plans. Hyejin doesn't know anything about it. "Are you sure about this, honey?" asked Mrs Lee. "I'm sure, my dear. I can see in his eyes that he is willing to give his all," replied Mr Lee. "And besides, unnie and Kyuhyun loved each other so dearly. I'm sure they'll make a lovely married couple," added Hyerin. "It is my dream to have a famous brother-in-law."

"Well, in that case, we can give our blessings to Kyuhyun," said Mrs Lee. "Wait! Has he told his family about the plans?" "I'm pretty sure he told his family about it," Mr Lee replied to his wife. "He has to so that we can make an arrangements with the Cho's."

Back in the Cho household, Kyuhyun has indeed told his family about the marriage plans. "Are you sure you're ready to become a husband, son?" Mr Cho asked with concern. "You have a lot of responsibilites to deal." Kyuhyun nodded his head. "I am willing to, appa," he replied to his father. His parents looked at each other before looking at their son. "In that's the case, then we have no choice but to let you get married."
