In Between Here and There (and Nowhere and Everywhere)
Min Yoongi was Jimin’s older brother’s best friend back in the day. When Jimin was born, Yoongi was there. He was present because Yoongi’s parents weren’t home and Jimin’s mom’s delivery was a surprise and Yoongi was just there. Yoongi was the first to hold Jimin’s hand when he came to the world, therefore upsetting Jimin’s hyung saying are you the brother? Yoongi just chuckled and ruffled his hair.
Every day since then, Yoongi would come by his house just to take a look at the baby. Min Yoongi was a lot of Jimin’s firsts. He was Jimin’s first kiss, (like, really, Yoongi saw his mom and dad kissing the day before and asked and they said you should only kiss someone you love, and after, Yoongi kissed Jimin, what’s the big deal?) first friend, first fight, first crush, and also his first love. “I don’t know— maybe in the summer, or next year, or maybe never. Don’t be like this. I don’t want to leave you like this.” Yoongi brought his knees up to his chest and hugged them. He was trying to fight off the tears that were coming.
“What about hyung? What about your other friends? What about me?” Jimin asked the last question in a tiny voice that Yoongi almost missed.
“You can always find me. I’m always here.” Yoongi says, looking Jim
