Can You Feel It?

Can't Resist

After telling Taeyeon a week ago that she was going to stop and stay under the radar she sat in her hideout bored out of her mind. She swung herself in her chair until she felt dizzy when Yoona came in when she was trying to regain her composure from that little rush.

“Don’t fall off the chair.” She chuckled and sat across her friend.

“It’s entertaining even if it doesn’t look like it.” She swung back and forth keeping her eye contact with Yoona. Usually around this time she would be planning her next heist or job, but since she promised this girl that makes her feel giddy that she wouldn’t and she plans not to break that promise.

Yoona raised her eyebrow and clicked her tongue. “You that bored?”

“To be honest…” she stop swiveling in her chair and placed her hands on her desk and got a bit closer to her friend. “Extremely bored.”

Her friend took a look at her watch on her wrist. “Well you’re meeting her tonight and you only have…” she took another look forgetting what time it was after she got a quick glance the first time. “Three hours left until we go to that house.”

“I know, but I can’t wait that long.” She rested her back on the chair lifelessly. “I’m not one to not just do nothing all day.”

Yoona really chuckled. “Your day starts in the afternoon since you hate waking up early. Now that’s doing nothing.”

She rolled her eyes at her friend. “Sleep is my second love. Don’t dare speak of her as nothing.”

“Sleep is a her?” she looked at Jessica weirdly.

“Yes, she is indeed. Just think of it like you love food. Sleep is like that to me.”

Yoona thought to herself and realized what her friend is saying. “Ah, I see.” Her tummy grumbled. “Speaking of food…”

Jessica busted out laughing at the perfect timing of her friend’s tummy. “What do you want to order?”

Yoona pondered for a while tapping her chin with her index finger. “Chicken sounds good.”

“You think the rest of the crew would want that?” Jessica looked out the door thinking of the others.

“They would be fine with anything I would think? Unless, we have a vegetarian crew member?”

She got out of her chair and went over to Yoona and slapped her lightly on her head. “Your mind wanders too much that sometimes it makes me laugh.”

She rubbed that spotted and smiled at her best friend. “And that’s why you like me as a friend.”

Jessica chuckled. “I’m still surprised that you’re still my friend. How did we even get along?”

Yoona had the same response as Jessica. “I’m not even sure myself.”

“Jessica darling, this is your dad’s friend and his daughter.” Jessica’s mother introduced them to their eldest daughter while holding the baby of the family in her arms. She shyly bowed to them being respectful. She was always taught to be polite, but she was always a shy girl since birth.

Her father cut into his wife’s introductions. “And this is our new addition to the family.” He hugged his wife wrapping one arm around her while holding Jessica’s hand in the other and looked at their newborn daughter. “This little one’s name is Krystal.”

Her father’s friend kneeled down to Jessica’s level and held out his hand. “Hello miss Jessica, I’m Erik Im. I am a friend of your fathers.” He smiled at her when she shook his hand. “You have a very pretty dress on. You look prettier than your mother.”

Jessica shook her head. “No, my mommy is the prettiest.”

Both Mr. and Mrs. Jung laughed at their daughter denying a compliment.

He laughed at her remark and rose back up and got his youngest daughter that was right next to him. “This is my daughter Yoona.” Jessica saw that she was clinging onto her dad’s leg. “Don’t be shy sweetie.” He pushed her forward a bit and Mr. Jung did the same to Jessica.

“Go make friends with her since you’re the oldest.” He whispered to her and slightly pushing her further to the other girl. Jessica did what her dad told her because he was usually right.

She got closer to Yoona and started to play with her hands being shy like the girl that stood across her. “Hello Yoona, I’m Jessica. I hope we can be friends…” she bowed and saw that Yoona backed away and clung onto her dad’s leg again ignoring her introduction.

Mr. Im laughed and apologized for his daughter. “Sorry there little miss, my daughter is quite shy.”

Mrs. Jung handed their sleeping infant to her husband and kneeled next to Jessica. “You want to take your new friend to your play room so your father can talk to Mr. Im?”

Jessica went to her mother’s ear and whispered. “I don’t think she wants to play with me…”

Her mother whispered back. “She’s just shy meeting new people. She’ll warm up to you.”

Jessica just nodded to her mother’s words and went up to the quiet girl. “Do you want to play with me? I have lots of toys I can share with you.”

Yoona looked up at her father and he patted her head telling her it was okay and that this girl was nice.

Since her father was in the same business as Jessica’s she never really went out of the house unless she was accompanied by her father or one of their workers. She’s never had interaction with anybody other than her father or his workers. And being somewhat isolated from anyone or thing, this was her first time meeting someone close to her age. She then turned her attention to Jessica and shyly nodded yes to play with her.

A little smile appeared on Jessica’s cute face. She went up to Yoona and held out her hand, but the younger girl was hesitant to take her hand.

“It’s okay” Jessica beamed with a bright smile and finally the shy girl took it.

They went up to the room and Yoona saw how much toys this girl had. She was kind of surprised when she saw a lot of baby toys too. She grabbed one and examined it.

“That’s my baby sister’s toy for went she gets older.” She grabbed Yoona’s hand gently and walked her to the other side of the room. “This side is just my toys so you can play with these ones okay.”

Yoona rummaged through the box of toys and saw that she had every toy imaginable, even the toys the boys play with. She grabbed one of the toys she saw on the Gundam show and set it down because one of her dad’s worker’s feminine voice echoed in her head saying ‘these toys are for only boys, not for a young girl like her’ when they would take her to the toy store.

The older girl of the two saw what she did and went up to her. “Do you like the gundam toy?”

She shook her head and said in a lowly voice. “I do, but they said it was only for boys…”

“Who said that?”

“The people that work at my house.”

Jessica picked up the toy from the cluttered box. “My dad says toys are always for both girls and boys.” She handed it to her. “You can take this one home when you leave with your dad.”

Yoona knitted her brows. “Are you sure?”

“Mhmm” she hummed and smiled at her. “I have another one and next time you come over we can play with them together okay?”

Yoona smiled because this was the first kid she met and she was actually being nice to her.

Yoona smirked at her little flashback while eating their food.

“Why you got that stupid smirk of yours on your face?” Jessica sipped her water eyeing her best friend weirdly.

She chortled and set down her food. “Just remembering the first time we met.”

The brunette girl’s lips curved upwards having the memories come back to her also. “God, you were so shy.”

“I know I was, but you were the first kid I met for the first time.”

“Here I’m the one that initiated the friendship even though you were the younger one.”

Yoona just rolled her eyes and sighed. “Like I said, it was the first time meeting another kid near my age.”

Jessica chuckled and it remained silent for a few seconds. “Do you still have it?”

Yoona looked up to Jessica and showed her pearly whites. “Of course I do, but it’s at my dad’s house.”

She looked down at her food and smiled to herself. “Mine is at my parent’s house too.”

----

Taeyeon kept glancing at the clock, she only had a few more minutes until her and Seohyun can leave to Jessica’s hideout.

“You got a hot date tonight or something?” Sunny said staring intently at her anxious leader.

Taeyeon felt like she just froze. She had to make up something, but only one thing came into her mind. “Can’t wait to run with Seohyun at the track tonight. My legs been itching for days since really nothing has happened this past week.”

“You’re weird.” She stacked the papers and put them in the file cabinet. She sighed “but have fun tonight.” She pointed at the clock. “You can go and get ready for your run, me and Tiffany will clean up the rest.”

“Thanks Sunny.” She felt a bit guilty walking up the stairs to her room since she had to lie to her friend. She sighed and opened the door and got one her tracksuits and running shoes. Hearing a knock at the door she stopped tying her shoes and welcomed whoever was on the other side. “Come in.” it was the maknae and she was dress in casual clothes.

The younger eyed her leader’s outfit and tried to repress her laughter. “Why you- ahem- why are you wearing your work out clothes?”

“I told a bad lie to Sunny saying we’re going out for a run…” she continued to tie her shoe. “Don’t laugh at my stupidity.”

Seohyun pursed her lips together hiding a grin that was starting to creep up. “I’ll go and change into mine too I guess.”

Taeyeon mentally thanked Seohyun for changing just for her stupid lie she made up.

----

Jessica and Yoona were already waiting at their hideout that was specifically for Jessica and Taeyeon.

“You guys going to hang out upstairs like usual?”

Jessica nodded her head getting bored waiting for her main squeeze. “You and Seohyun can hang out in the living room.”

She nudged Jessica’s shoulder and smirked mischievously. “Let me know if things get hot and steamy so we can leave.”

She nudged her back. “We’re taking it slow.”

“Oh? Would it be Taeyeon’s first time?”

Jessica’s face went a little glum. “No, just the first time with a girl.”

“With everything?”

Jessica nodded her head and Yoona could sense what she was thinking. “Those other guys before you don’t match up with you just so you know.”

She huffed at her friend trying to make her feel better. “You don’t know who they were though…”

She shook her head. “Don’t need to.” She rested her hand on Jessica’s shoulder. “I just know that you’re better than them” she smiled. “You can see it on her face when she sees you.”

She swiftly faced Yoona and smiled. “Really?”

“Yeah, really.”

Ding-Dong

Jessica jumped up and was about to open the door, but Yoona carefully pushed her away being protective and opened it herself. “Hey-” she couldn’t help but laugh letting them in. “you two running a marathon or something this late at night?”

Jessica saw what her friend was laughing about and stifled the laughs that wanted to escape . “Taeyeon, what are you wearing?” looking at the pouting girl.

“That was the first reaction when I saw her too.” Seohyun chimed in.

Yoona started laughing harder because Seohyun was in the same boat as Taeyeon right now. “You really shouldn’t be saying anything since you’re dressed that way too” she held her stomach because it hurt from laughing so hard at the two agents.

Seohyun huffed hot air out of her nose since Yoona was laughing at her. “I had no choice because of her lie she told to the others!”

While those two were bickering with each other Taeyeon wrapped her arm around herself feeling stupid that she was wearing this tracksuit. She felt a pair of arms wrap around her. “Let’s go upstairs.”

Jessica grabbed her hand and went into the room that left them alone with on another. “So what’s the story with your outfit?”

She held the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes slowly telling her why. “Because I told my friend Sunny that we were going to the track to run since we haven’t been having any action at work lately.”

Jessica chuckled. “You are an agent, but you can’t lie if it meant your life.”

Taeyeon shook her head and sat on the couch. “I’m fine with lying to others, but just not to my squad.”

Jessica got quiet and looked to the floor. “Are fine with lying to me?”

Taeyeon grabbed her hand and sat her down next to herself. “I don’t think I could ever lie to you...” A smile appeared on girl’s face. “Because I think you would kill me if I did.”

Jessica playfully shoved her shoulder. “You got that right.”

Taeyeon smiled and Jessica rested her head on Taeyeon’s shoulder. They stayed like that in a comfortable silence just enjoying the warm atmosphere. After that lovely moment passed Jessica got up and looked at Taeyeon curiously. “Do you like being an agent?”

Taeyeon always asked that question to herself. Was this what she wanted to do for the rest of her life? “I can’t say that I don’t.” Taeyeon sighed because Jessica was waiting for her to continue. “It’s 50/50. I like it because I can help out people and my country, but also I’m risking my life and I don’t know if I’m ever going to come back some times. Plus, this job is like a 24/7 gig. I don’t know when I’ll be called in the early morning or the middle of the night, but since lately nothing has really happened I’ve just been chilling and spending my time with you.” She nuzzled her head into Jessica’s neck and left a kiss under her jawbone.

Jessica smirked. “It probably because I stop doing jobs.”

Taeyeon giggled. “That’s one of the reasons.” She looked at the girl next to her and asked her the same question. “Do you like being in the criminal business?”

Jessica pondered on the question. “I don’t hate it, but it limits to my social life. I can only do certain things, I can’t even go outside and enjoy a day on the street because I’m being chased by agents like you,” She laughed at herself. “I’m only doing this because it’s a family business and since my parents only had me and my sister with no sons, I had to take over.”

“Why didn’t you refuse?”

“Then my sister would have to take over. I can’t do that to her…”

“Why not?”

“Because she has the chance of actually becoming something, she shouldn’t have to live in this world where she meant to run a life of crime.”

“You care about your sister a lot huh?”

Jessica smiled. “She’s my only sister, of course I do.” She held Taeyeon’s hands in hers. “She has a chance of a normal life in this family that we were born into and she nearly there accomplishing her goal of becoming a doctor.” She took a deep breath and exhaled gently. “I don’t mind doing this if it meant that she could fulfill her dream.”

Taeyeon smiled, but still couldn’t help but to feel sad for Jessica. “You’re a good sister.”

“I know I am,” she said without a second thought.

Taeyeon just held her and brought her in for an embrace after hearing that she’s only living this life to protect her little sister. “You know, I’ve never said this before, but I can’t help but to fall for you even more.”

She looked up from the girl’s embrace. “Because of my little sad life story?”

“No, because even though you do these things you are still a good person at heart.”

Jessica cheeks turned pinkish and hid her face more into Taeyeon’s embrace. She has never heard anyone say that about her because of her lifestyle. Not even the girlfriend she had before said that. This girl named Taeyeon was opening her heart to things she has never felt before. “I think I love you…” she said softly so Taeyeon couldn’t hear.

Taeyeon didn’t hear anything because Jessica voice came out muffled. “What?”

She shook her head and buried it on Taeyeon’s neck hiding her redden face and smile. “Nothing…”

Taeyeon just laughed at her cuteness. This girl is the right person for me. She got another glance at her and lifted up Jessica’s chin so she could place a kiss on those cute lips of hers. When their lips met, it came clear to the older girl. This girl is my soul mate.

----

“Yuri!” Mr. Jung called from his office.

She came coming in after waiting outside because he called her from her training her crew. “Yes Mr. Jung?”

He looked at his book of filled with important matters to his crime business. “Can I ask you a favor?”

“That’s why you hired me.”

He chuckled. “I thought I was reading the numbers wrong, but it’s come to my attention that my daughter hasn’t made any revenue from her side.” He closed his book. “Since I’m busy with other affairs, I was wondering if you could go and check up on her and her side of the business.”

“You want me to go see Jessica?”

He looked at Yuri a bit confused because he never mentioned his daughter’s name to Yuri. “Do you know her?”

She chuckled and scratched her head nervously. “We kind of got set up…on a blind date a few weeks ago…” she gave him an unconfident smile.

“A blind date with my daughter?”

“Yes…” she couldn’t keep eye contact with him because it felt too awkward now.

He got up and stood by her side. “So how was it?”

“How was what?” she started to sweat being in the hot seat with Jessica’s father.

“The blind date of course.”

She rubbed the back of her neck. “It went…um…okay?”

“Just okay?”

“Well it didn’t really go as planned because we got interrupted when agents were on a stakeout for your daughter.”

He turned his attention from Yuri to the window that showed his large garden outside. “Did you guys get out okay?”

“I know I did, but we had to go separate ways because we didn’t want to get caught. But I think she got out okay because she a capable girl.”

He smiled. “You can think on your feet.”

She nodded her head. “But we came up with that together when we were surrounded. Your daughter is a bright one.”

He fixed his suit knowing that he taught her well. “Well she learned from the best.”

“That she did sir.” She mentally slapped herself for calling him sir.

He chuckled at his assassin trying to be respectful to him because of his daughter. “Well would you go and check up on her and her business? It’s not really good for profit if she doesn’t do her part.”

Yuri stood up and agreed to what he asked her. “I’ll drive out there first thing tomorrow morning.”

“Good.” He sat back at his desk. “You can continue what you were doing earlier.”

She walked out of the office and fisted pumped her hand in the air because she just got closer to Jessica’s father and knew she was a step closer to making that girl her girlfriend.
