“Really, I knew you were a but that doesn’t mean you can make out with a guy in front of my house!” Hongbin’s of a mom was home and walked past them at the perfect time. Hongbin rolled his eyes and motioned for Taekwoon to calm down, who wasn’t used to the word ‘’.

“Hello person who gave birth to me and is emotionally supposed to support me but instead calls your one and only son a .” Hongbin’s mother gave his ‘one and only son’ the finger and right before entering the house yelled out that Hyuk was her son to.

“Is Hyuk your brother?!” Taekwoon, with a weird look on his face, asked. Hongbin couldn’t help but to almost die laughing on the sidewalk floor.

“No, no, no! My mom likes Hyuk probably more than me, so she calls him her son.”

“O-Oh… ok I was about to say…”

“Say what?” another untimely interruption took place but not by Hongbin’s mom.

“Hyukie!” Hongbin happy cheered as he sat there looking up at the younger, who was just glaring at Taekwoon. Another awkward silence took place and Hongbin noticed the staring competition taking place between Hyuk and Taekwoon. After Hyuk realized that Taekwoon wasn’t going to back down, he looked down at Hongbin’s swollen leg.

“What the happened to your damn leg Bean.”

“Oh… well you know… I fell.”

“You’re such a clumsy bastard I swear.” Hyuk knelt down and rubbed slightly where the bruising looked like it occurred. “I’ll go get you an ice pack from the house.” Hyuk ran inside Hongbin’s house and Hongbin and Taekwoon could hear Hongbin’s mom greet Hyuk lovingly.

“See I told you she loved him more.” Taekwoon just giggled and watched Hyuk come back and put the ice pack on Hongbin’s leg. Hyuk was so careful and gentle with Hongbin. Taekwoon just observed both of their behaviors and how playful they were with each other. Hyuk seemed to sense Taekwoon eyeing him and looked back at him.

“So what are you doing here?” Hyuk’s expression went from caring and cute, to rude and mean in a second. Taekwoon was a little taken back by this sudden question and didn’t answer right away so Hongbin answered for him.

“He helped me home since I fell while I was running.”

“So he just happened to be at the spot where you got hurt?” Hyuk was making it way to obvious that he had a problem with Taekwoon.

“What’s wrong with you, did your period come early this month?” Hongbin laughed, trying to make this scene a bit less awkward. Hyuk finally snapped out of it, once he heard Hongbin laugh.

“I was just playing, hey we should really get you to the hospital, what if it’s broken?” Taekwoon just sat their quietly, a little bit irritated with Hyuk’s attitude towards him.

“Oh, yea I guess I should.” Hongbin giggled to himself.

“Here I’ll help you into the house and I’ll tell mom to take you to the hospital.” Hyuk helped Hongbin stand up. Taekwoon also stood up and looked at Hongbin, wondering what he should do next.

“I’ll text you later ok?” Hongbin wanted to make sure Taekwoon knew that their conversation wasn’t over. Taekwoon watched as Hyuk helped Hongbin into the house and right before Hyuk went into the house he turned around and motioned for Taekwoon to stay put. A few minutes later Hyuk came back out of the house and walked toward Taekwoon.

“We need to talk.” Again Taekwoon was taken aback by Hyuk’s surprising words.

“When?”

“After I take Hongbin to the hospital I want you to meet me at your dance studio.”

A few hours later, Hyuk was in front of the dance studio, feeling a bit nervous, that he chose to do this. At the time he was brave but now all that braveness went away and he had second thoughts of showing up. He stood there for a few minutes but he heard someone come up behind him.

“How long are you just going to stand there? I thought you wanted to talk to me.” Taekwoon walked past Hyuk and opened the door to the dance studio and motioned for Hyuk to go inside. Hyuk rolled his eyes and walked inside and sat on the bench. “So what did you want to talk to me about?”

“…I think you already know by now…” Taekwoon sat by Hyuk and sighed.

“Yup, and I hope you know that, that’s not going to stop me.” Hyuk grinded his teeth and looked at Taekwoon.

“…I know, and surprisingly I’m not trying to stop you.” Taekwoon, shocked, looked at Hyuk and saw that he was on the verge of tears.

“Hyuk…”

“He’s my best friend, and you already know by now that I like him… but no matter how much it hurts me, the only thing that matters to me is his happiness. When he first started talking about you, I saw a sparkle in his eye that I’ve never seen before, but what scares me the most about that is, when you started to hurt him, I’ve never seen him cry that much before.”

“It wasn’t my intention to ever hurt him, I swear.”

“I know, but you still did. So all im asking is, if this is really what Hongbin wants-” Hyuk stood up and got right in front of Taekwoon and grabbed his shirt, which really surprised Taekwoon. “Then I better not ever have to wipe his tears again because of you.” Hyuk was still holding onto Taekwoon’s shirt and looking straight into his piercing eyes.

“I promise, ill never let Hongbin shed a tear because of me again.” Taekwoon got hyuk’s hand and got him to finally let go of his shirt. Taekwoon who was feeling sympathy for Hyuk couldn’t help but to almost tear up himself. What Hyuk was doing was pretty much giving Taekwoon permission to date his best friend/ probably his first love.

It was silent between the two for awhile, then Hyuk started to giggle to himself and looked up at Taekwoon, who again kept getting surprised by this weird kid.

“You know you really scare the out of me right?” Taekwoon, for the first time that night, smiled at Hyuk.

“Hongbin’s lucky to have a friend like you in his life.”

“Damn right he does!... oh and by the way, lets not tell him what I did tonight. He’d probably kill me, like literally kill me.”   

“Yea, you got it. Oh, and how is Hongbin? His foot?”

“That lucky bastard just sprained it. Nothing to worry about.” Taekwoon signed in relief, when hyuk saw that, he smiled and knew that he was doing the right thing, he knew Taekwoon would take care of his Beanie for him. “Well I’ve got to go, uh, well, I guess ill be seeing you around?” Hyuk extended his hand and Taekwoon grabbed it and they shook hands. Taekwoon watched Hyuk walk out of the studio, and then he took out his cell phone and dialed in a number.
