(Author Note At Bottom PLEASE READ)

Everyone has a certain shade of colour light that glows from their heart. It grows and develops into a distintive shade until one is 18 years of age. This light emerges once it senses the presence of it's match, it wraps and twirls with it's twin. And that's how one knows that the cute barista, or that certain co-worker, or friend, or even stranger, is their one true match, their other half...their soul mate.

The first time JaeBum witness someone's chest glow was when he was 10 years old. He was at the ice cream shop with his cousin (they were celebrating his cousin’s 18^th belated birthday and JaeBum getting an A+ on his exam). When they got the counter JaeBum saw his cousin YunHo’s chest glow bright pearl red, the light swirling around his entire body. And another red glow of the same shade, floated from the beautiful boy’s chest at the counter, the two lights intertwined together wrapping around both of their bodies.

At age 10, JaeBum was entranced by the glowing lights from the two blushing boys, he barely heard the conversation.

(“YunHo-yah, does this mean…”

“Yes, JaeJoongie, I guess…”

“We are…we really are…”

“Soul mates.”

“….I’m glad it’s you YunHo-yah.”

“Me too.”)

At night he asked he mother about what happened at the shop, and he never forgot what his mother said that night.

(“JaeBum-ah, my son, everyone has a soul mate, and the same applies to you. One day you will find your other half that will love and cherish you, and protect you. They are the other half of your soul, they are someone you must also cherish and protect, and most of all love.”

“But…why doesn’t mine glow? Where’s my soul mate?”

“My sweet son, your heart won’t glow just yet. Your glow still hasn’t developed, it’s still trapped inside of you, still growing like you. Once you reach your 18^th birthday, like your YunHo Hyung, your own colour will be done growing. Once you meet your soul mate, whether it’s in 18 years or at 30…your heart and their heart will know, and the beautiful distinctive shade of colour that’s only yours’ and your soul mates’ will emerge out of both of your hearts and intertwine together.”)

At age 18, JaeBum never forgot those words nor the beautiful site he had witnessed all those years ago. He’s still waiting for his other half, hopefully they will meet soon.

…But unknown to JaeBum, they have already met.

And September, 22^nd 2012, will be a day of significant impact in Im Jaebum’s normal high school life.

Hope you all enjoyed this story so far. This story is a request from rararakun I honestly don't know why you picked me to write this tbh my writing , there's totally better writers out there. It's based on this.

First of all I like to say...I a writing chapter fics, cause I really lose inspiration really quickly, which is why my typical stories are drabbles or really short oneshots. But I really like this plot, and am willing to try to write this story out.

So this is your Warning (and don't say I didn't warn you), please don't expect something fantastic or long out of this. Nor any frequent updates. This story might be fast-paced for some, and might not have constant continuality... (I'll try to keep it consistent as I can). My writing is definitely not the best, but I will try to make something enjoyable for you readers for sure. Also, like I said above, my writing skills and vocab are definitely not up to par, so please bare with me. (Thus I am putting this here because I would love some criticism/help with my writing skills, also comments are great as well hahaha)
