"Ya, look at her, sitting with the boys," a girl whispered to her friend as they passed by our table.

"Dae~bak. What does she think she is?" the friend responded, shooting a look at me.

"She thinks she's our friend," L.Joe answered, standing behind them. They jumped in surprise and turned around.

"L-L.Joe oppa! We were just-"

"You're in my way," he interrupted demandingly.

The girls flew away within a blink of an eye. L.Joe kept his cool and sat down next to me.

"That was.... rude," I said as he struggled to open his water bottle.

"I don't care, that's just who I am," he replied, frowning at the bottle.

"Yea noona, he's always like that. Even to us," Ricky told me.

"He's one scary hyung," ChangJo joined, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

"Don't mess with him," Niel warned, giving a meaningful glance at L.Joe.

"Whose side are you guys on?!" L.Joe asked in frustration. We laughed, and he scoffed. "They're the ones who started it," he said.

"Speaking of which, noona, if this gets too serious, just tell us, okay?" ChunJi kindly offered. I nodded.

"Thanks, I'll do that," I said, and stood up. "I'll go throw the trash away."

As I walked to the trash can, someone bumped into me, and her soup spilled on her shirt.

"I'm sorry," I apologized. "Are you OK?"

I offered my handkerchief to her, which she slapped away.

"Don't touch me!" she shrieked.

I put both my hands up in the air to show her that I had no intent to offend her. "Sorry," I said, and began walking towards the trash can again.

How did I not realize the stinging glare that she kept shooting at me even as I went back to the table?
