When Chanyeol is serving his military conscription for his country, he expects himself dying from exhaustion, crying from humiliation and quitting from trepidation. 

Not enjoying every second of running for miles and learning how to use rifles and guns. 

When Private First Class Park Chanyeol has been ecsorted to serve in the DMZ of Korean Peninsula by the fault of his Sergeant, he's been picturing himself getting shot by the soldiers from north, getting kidnapped, tortured and killed in the Hoeryeon Concentration Camp. 

Not loving every encounter he has with a far too petite and small boy from the north. 

And in the short life of Park Chanyeol, the thought of him being a hero has never crossed his mind. Because no, he is just simply too plain and ordinary to actually worth and mean something. 

But then again, he should've expect the unexpected.
