Red LightSulli’s face twists up in confusion and she whispers, “Don’t ever presume to know how I feel about you.” The words are scaring Krystal only slightly, but comforting her heart at the same time, and she stares up at Sulli in wonder. “Ever.” And the words are soft, but their meaning is hard and real, and Krystal can’t stop thinking about how pretty the other girls’ lips are as they move just above hers. Maybe this was it, maybe this was when they finally crossed that line and never looked back, running together hand and hand without a care in the world except that they were always beside each other. Twenty seconds of insane courage were starting to course through her veins. “Unless I tell you myself.” And Sulli’s eyes are pouring rivers into Krystal’s soul, and Krystal decides to let the older girl dip down just a little ways more and let them meet. “Okay,” is the last thing Krystal manages to whisper before she’s finally smothered by Sulli’s lips.
Maybe rocket ships and fireworks didn’t explode inside her head like all the books and movies describe, but kissing Sulli was probably the best thing that had ever happened to Krystal, or she thought so afterwards, anyways.
