"Then tell me why you don't smile like this when Sulli is around?"

Jonghyun & Krystal have gone on various dates ever since the first one.

They both agreed they could call it “exclusively dating” since they both began to develop feelings for each other and it was no longer a one-sided love story with Jonghyun.

But, they weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend just yet.

Krystal grabbed Jonghyun’s hands from across the table, “You’re not affected by the comment, are you?”

Jonghyun gave her an assuring smile; kissing her hands, “Of course not.”

“Really?” Krystal said.

“There isn’t anything for me to worry about, so why bother?” Jonghyun chuckled, playing with Krystal’s small fingers.

She smiled at him, “Of course not.”

Minho’s taken anyways; it wouldn’t have made a difference. He’s happy, I should be happy as well.

“And plus, if I’m not jealous of Kai; how could I be jealous of my own best friend?” Jonghyun chuckled again, “Minho’s one of the nicest guys I know, and he would never do something like that to me. I called dibs on you the first day I saw you.”

Krystal giggled and blushed, “You did?”

Jonghyun nodded his head, “You were hands down, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.”

“That’s sweet.” Krystal smiled shyly, “I’m really happy I met you Jonghyun.”

He smiled back at her, “Me too Krystal, me too.”

“Oh!” Krystal let go of Jonghyun’s hands, reaching into her purse.

She grabbed an invitation and handed it over to him, “Kai is holding a birthday party at his house this weekend, and I was really hoping you could come with me. Bring the rest of SHINee if you want to.”

Jonghyun pouted when he saw the date of the card, “I really wish I could.” He said, “But we’re going to be in Busan for a concert. We actually leave tomorrow afternoon, so I won’t be able to come pick you up after filming.”

“Awuh.” Krystal looked down.

He lifted her chin up, “But you should still go. And actually, Minho will be the only one not at the concert because of the drama. If you want, I can have him come with you.”

Krystal’s eyes widened and for some reason, heat took over her body.

“N-no, I don’t wanna be a burden. Minho and I have only had a couple conversations with each other.” Krystal said.

Jonghyun shook his head, “I’m sure Minho will be fine with it.” He said to her, “I just want to know that you get there and come home in one piece, and there’s no one I trust more than Minho.”

Minho raised his eyebrows, trying to interpret what Jonghyun was asking.

“So you basically want me to be your girlfriend’s chaperon?” Minho asked.

Just Krystal and I..

Jonghyun chuckled, “She’s not my girlfriend yet.”

He handed Minho the card, “I would go, but as you know, the rest of us are in Busan for that concert. You’re the only one here, and I just wanna make sure that Krystal is okay.”

Minho sighed, knowing he didn’t really have any other choice but to abide.

Another day of filming came upon them all, and it was just like any other day.

“Ha Neul & Ji Won, your scene is up next.” Soojung called them through the mic, looking around.

Minho laughed, “Last time I saw them, they were in that corner they’re always in face.”

Jin Hyuk rolled his eyes in annoyance, “Aish, those two..” He scratched his head as he went for the search again.

Jessica came running in on set with a smile on her face, “Soojung!”

Krystal turned around, giggling at her happy sister, “What is it unnie?”

“There’s someone here to see you.” Jessica smiled again, turning her sister around.

Nearly everyone stood there in shock and was just instantly starstruck.

Kim MyungSoo of the infamous boy group INFINITE, was walking in with a bouquet of flowers and walking towards Krystal.

“L too?!” Sulli cursed under her breath, watching the scene happen right in front of her face.

Minho simply stared; a bit crushed inside for some unknown reason.

He looked at Krystal, who had a smile on her face.

Minho’s never seen that smile before; even when she was with Jonghyun.

“Oppa!” Krystal ran up to him, jumping straight into his arms.

“How do they know each other?”

“He’s so pretty!”

“I heard they dated in the past.”

Murmurs were being heard all throughout the room as silence was upon it.

MyungSoo put Krystal down after giving her such a tight hug, “I just wanted to come and congratulate you on your success.”

“I missed you.” Krystal smiled at him, taking the flowers from his hand.

He patted her head, kissing her forehead, “I missed you too Soojung.”

Krystal looked up at him, her eyes twinkling in delight, “Did you want something to eat? To drink? You and I haven’t talked in such a long time.”

He shook his head, “Actually, I was wondering if you’d like to come over tonight. We can catch up some more at my house; I’ll just stay and wait for you to finish up.”

MyungSoo pulled up a chair by the snack area, watching her get down to business.

Minho was close enough to hear their conversation, and by the sounds of it, it didn’t seem like they were just going to talk.

“She’s a fcking .” Sulli gritted through her teeth.

Minho rubbed her back, “Sulli, just let it go.”

There was dryness in Minho’s tone, and anyone would be able to notice it.

The way he sounded with Sulli before was so much more different now.

But why was that?

Minho looked at Krystal again, who seemed happier than ever.

Was it actually because he was jealous?

After another break, Minho decided he needed to walk around a little bit.

The air conditioning was barely working and everyone was starting to get on his nerves.

As he turned the corner, he bumped into someone.

“Omo, I’m so sorry.” The girl bowed, looking right up at him.

Minho held the girl by her shoulders to prevent her from falling backwards. He laughed when he recognized who it was, “Jonghyun’s gone for a day and you already have no idea where you’re going?”

Krystal laughed, covering , “Jonghyun and I aren’t even official.”

That laugh is contagious.

“I have a question.” Minho asked, scratching the back of his neck.

She pursed her lips, looking up at him with wondering eyes, “Yeah?”

“Does Jonghyun know you still hangout with MyungSoo?” Minho looked down at her, crossing his arms over his chest.

Krystal shrugged her shoulders, “I actually haven’t seen MyungSoo oppa in a long time. I was quite surprised that he even found time in his schedule to come visit me today.”

She paused, “But why would Jonghyun need to know anyways?”

“Well obviously my friend likes you.” Minho said, “I don’t want you to get his hopes up and just step all over him. He gets hurt too often.” Minho defended his best friend like his life depended on it.

Krystal smiled at his warning, “Don’t worry, MyungSoo and I are just friends. We’ve decided it’s better this way.”

Minho nodded his head, her words seemed sincere; “Okay, you should probably get back; I think Jin Hyuk hyung is looking for you.”

She bowed, about to turn the corner again.

“Wait!” Minho called back out.

Krystal’s eyes widened, “Yeah?”

Minho unloosened his tie, “What time do you want me to pick you up Saturday?”

“Saturday?” Krystal narrowed her eyes.

He nodded his head, “You forgot about Kai’s party? Jonghyun is basically making me come with you.”

“Oh yeah!” Krystal snapped her fingers, thinking, “You can come to my place at around 6:30.”

Minho smiled, “Alright, I’ll see you then.”

When they both parted ways, they felt like something was just taken away from them.

Krystal touched her chest. Aside from the extra practice hours her and Minho had, that was the first conversation they had that didn’t have anything to do with the drama.

Minho took a break in the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror, “Minho, get yourself together. You have a girlfriend.”

To his surprise, Ha Neul came out of a stall chuckling.

“Let me guess, this is about Soojung isn’t it?” Ha Neul raised his eyebrows, teasing his friend.

Minho just stared at him, “Her and I barely have said anything to each other, why does everyone think that I like her?”

Ha Neul rolled his eyes, “Who said words needed to be spoken between two people who like each other?”

Sulli got bored waiting for Minho to come back from his little stroll; so she walked towards MyungSoo sitting by himself.

“So what brought you here exactly?” Sulli questioned.

MyungSoo turned around, knowing that voice anywhere, “Choi Jinri, don’t you ever get sick of interrogating people?”

Sulli pulled a chair up and sat beside him, but stared straight at the wall, “Are you still dating that Soojung girl?”

He laughed, shaking his head, “Her and I broke up before I debuted in INFINITE; it was a mutual thing.”

She snarled, “That’s what they all say.”

“It’s true.” MyungSoo said, “Why does it even matter?”

Sulli raised her eyebrows, “Do you still like her?”

MyungSoo sighed, thinking a little bit, “Soojung’s always been special to me, even before we dated. I can say that I did fall in love with her at a time, but things have changed. She’s just someone I really, really care for.”

He turned his head to look at her, “So if you dare even lay a finger on her Sulli.”

MyungSoo was aware of Sulli’s hidden ways; she wasn’t able to get past him.

Sulli grinded her teeth, “I hope you know that person that you really, really care about is dating Kim Jonghyun now.”

“Really?” MyungSoo couldn’t help but laugh, “That pabo was able to score a girl like Krystal?”

After hearing him joke about it, Sulli’s face dropped.

A girl like Krystal. She crossed her legs over one another, “What the fck could be so special about this girl?”

Right after her last comment, MyungSoo pursed his lips and pointed at the door being opened.

“Just look at her.” MyungSoo smiled as he watched Krystal walk back in to the studio.

Sulli turned her head to look at her.

She would have to be stupid to deny the fact that she was pretty; but she would never admit it out loud.

“The way she smiles, the way she loves life, the way she’s so carefree. She’s like a child trapped in a 19 year old body, but her mentality is that of a 30 year old. There are countless things that make her special.”

MyungSoo listed all her qualities in awe, making every bone in Sulli cringe.

Once the filming was over, MyungSoo took Krystal and they hung out at his loft; just catching up like the olden times.

“Really? A fan jumped on you when she saw you at an airport?” Krystal couldn’t stop herself from laughing; imagining the whole scene in her head.

“It’s true!” MyungSoo put his arm on the couch while facing her, “Sungyeol almost got trampled too.”

Krystal laughed again, ending with a big sigh, “I missed talking to you oppa.”

MyungSoo smiled, “I missed talking to you too Soojung. I feel like the last time you and I got to hang out was when we broke up.”

She pouted her lips, holding her coffee mug closer to her, “That’s because it was. Since you debuted, you’ve been so busy. I’m still quite surprised you made time for me today.”

“I was actually going to come visit last week, but Jessica informed me that little Kim Jonghyun was taking you out on a date.” MyungSoo chuckled, playfully winking at her.

Krystal rolled her eyes, setting her coffee mug down, “Jonghyun’s really sweet to me; the least I could do was give him a chance.”

“Still not over me huh Krystal?” MyungSoo smirked.

“Shut up.” Krystal pushed his chest, “You’re long and gone MyungSoo.”

MyungSoo just smiled, loving the fact that even though they haven’t talked in a long time; how comfortable they were with each other hasn’t changed a bit.

“But do you like Jonghyun?” He asked.

Krystal shrugged, “I like his company.” She answered, “I like how he can make me smile and crack cheesy jokes. But I’m not sure if I really ‘like’ him yet.”

Myungsoo listened to her speak, “Because he’s not Minho right?”

She looked at him, “Oppa, you already know Minho has a girlfriend; Sulli. And they’re happy together.”

“Okay, fine, deny that you like Minho.” MyungSoo looked back at her, “Any person in that room today would see how jealous he looked when I came and you jumped right into my arms.”

Krystal turned into a light shade of pink, “Really?”

“Really.” MyungSoo smirked again, “Sulli actually came up to me when you and Minho just happened to be gone at the same time. She finds you to be a huge threat to her and Minho’s relationship.”

“What? That’s horrible!” Krystal covered , “I don’t want her to hate me.”

MyungSoo rolled his eyes, “There you go again Krystal. Why do you always care what people think? I don’t see why you have so many insecurities when you’re damn near perfect.”

She sighed, running her hands through her hair, “You also know the other reason on why I can’t like Minho.”

“I don’t care.” MyungSoo told her, “Whatever is going on between Minho & I, is between us two. I have no right to stop my best friend from liking or dating anyone. Just be happy Krystal.”

Krystal leaned in and hugged him tightly, “You are honestly the most amazing person MyungSoo, I hope you know that.”

He ran his fingers through her hair, letting her hug him, “Sulli’s a btch anyways; Minho will realize that sooner or later.”

She couldn’t help but laugh, “I hope you know I still won’t date Minho. I couldn’t do that to Jonghyun, Sulli, and even you for that matter.”

Being with Minho has always just been a dream with me. That’s how it’ll stay.

Minho tried to work on extra assignments he had for his English class; but he just couldn’t focus at all.

“What is she doing with MyungSoo anyways? Should I tell Jonghyun? Why am I so concerned?”

He looked around his dorm room; all alone.

All of the members of SHINee were on their way to Busan for that concert and he had to stay for filming.

Although he didn’t really mind being alone, it got boring. Real fast.

Minho grabbed his phone, texting Lay to come over.

Within just a couple minutes, Lay came knocking at his door and he let him in.

“You’re so lonely you start hanging out with the trainees huh?” Lay jumped on his bed, smirking.

Minho threw an eraser at him, “Shut up. I’m just really bored, and I’m not trying to do this English paper.”

Lay nodded his head, “Fair enough. How was filming today? I heard MyungSoo came on set.”

“How’d you know that?” Minho thought.

Lay looked through his phone, tossing it to him, “Pictures of them are already escalating again. I had no idea that they dated in the past.”

Minho looked at the article, just wanting to throw Lay’s phone at the ground.

Why was he so mad about it though?

“Jonghyun’s gonna flip when he sees these.” Minho tried to ease the tension off of him, giving Lay his phone back.

Lay narrowed his eyes, “You didn’t scroll all the way did you?”

“I saw the first couple pictures; that’s all I need.” Minho said back.

Lay scrolled all the way down, giving him his phone again, “You might wanna look at these.” He said with a smirk.

“What is it?” Minho took his phone, not knowing how exactly to react.

The title of the article was, Another woman in Minho’s life?

Right below it, was a picture of Minho & Krystal talking while in the hallway.

The insert below read: “Choi Minho of popular boy group SHINee was recently seen having what seemed to be, an intimate conversation with co-director and author Jung Soojung, younger sister of SNSD’s Jessica. Almost everyone knows that Minho is currently dating F(x)’s maknae Sulli, so we’re all just hoping that this was business talk.”

“Her and I were just talking about Kai’s party, nothing else.” Minho read through the rest of the article.

“Whoever took these pictures are just trying to start drama between Sulli & I; we’re completely fine.” Minho lied.

Lay shook his head, “Then tell me why you don’t smile like this when Sulli is around?”

Minho cleared his throat, “What do you mean?”

“I don’t even have to be there in person to know that you might have a little crush on this Krystal girl.” Lay said, “The way you get so defensive about her and the way you talk about her; it’s different. You’re just denying it all because of Sulli.”

Minho stared at him, not knowing what to say.

Simply because he was right.

WOOT, another update!

I find it so amusing that even though all of you guys read this for Minstal, a lot of you guys are also enjoying the Jongstal moments. I find it adorable and it makes me love writing even more; you guys are the best. (':

Also, Sulli seems to be irritating everyone; looks like I'm doing my job right. xD
