SIWON:

I don’t know if I should feel good about her not remembering me. But isn’t it weird how she didn’t notice someone she almost had a fist brawl with just a few hours ago? I mean, this is actually the first time a girl didn’t panic around me nor noticed who I was. I thought she was kidding when she asked who I was but judging from how she just treated me again tonight, I’m convinced that she really has no idea about who I was. I'm hoping this could carry on until I could finally remind her, maybe when she's calm and not busy going around the place and actually have time to sit with me.

She went in the kitchen to call out the order. I on the other hand took time to look around the place and appreciate the photographs randomly mounted on the walls. The café had a Brooklyn warehouse vibe-concrete walls and floors with steel and brick accents. Judging each servers by how they act and carry themselves, I would say that most of them were art majors. A photograph caught my attention, it took me back to three years ago, and the scene was so vivid, so clear for me to feel like I was actually there. I stood up from my seat to take a closer look at it to make sure I was seeing the right thing when I felt someone looking at me

"You like it?" she asked and I just gave her a faint smile. “I took that” she smiled widely as I looked back at her leaning at the bar counter with her palm landed on her chin

“When?” I asked

“Hmm” she looked at the photo trying to recall the exact day “About 3 years ago” she concluded “Here” she offered a glass of red wine as she smiled

“Thanks” I smiled as I walked towards her direction and sat by the bar where she was “That photo…”

“Is a silhouette of a breakup” she said not waiting for any response from me. With sadness in her tone she bitterly smiled “I witnessed a lot of those” she added

“Why did you take a photo if it?” I asked curiously as she took out her phone and took a photo of me

“Emotions are interesting” she smiled and showed my the outcome of the photograph she took “Your lips are pursed closely towards each other as you smile kindly” she explained “But your eyes have a lot of shades of sorrow” she concluded

“And how does this answer my previous question?” I asked again eager to hear her reason

She smiled “Why? Do we only take photographs of happy times?” her eyes on mine, I was glued into her question and her questioning gaze

“Most of the time” I answered “Most people do” I smiled

“Not me” she said shaking her head as she walked towards the kitchen window upon hearing the bell ring

She got a red bowl out of the window, it was filled with grilled chicken and mixed greens

“Here you go, it really goes well with that” she pointed at my half-filled wine glass “Judging from how you look, you seem to have been to a wedding” she added “So this is a perfect ender to make up for those crazy dancing”

“You’re very observant” I smiled trying to compliment her

“I try” she smiled “enjoy your meal” she said as she motioned to leave her spot

“Wait” I automatically stopped her

“You have a question that I have to answer” I reminded her

“Oh yeah” she snapped her fingers “How did you know my name?”

I smirked “Well, that makes us even. You still haven’t answered my question yet about why are you fancied with sad scenes in photographs” I reminded

“Are you hitting on me?” she asked raising her eyebrows, her arms crossed as she gave out a smirk

I smiled at the gesture, I leaned closer and looked at her for a while “It depends, do you want me to?” I asked challenging her wits

“Enjoy your meal” she smiled widely and shook her as she turned around and walked away to attend to the people who just came in

ANNA:

Does he really think I didn’t remember him at all? I couldn’t stop myself from laughing mentally as we tried hard to keep a decent conversation. 

Flashback:

“Who the hell was that egoistic prick?” I asked as I rummaged through my bag for my even clothes to change in “He sure does think he’s some sort of hot stuff”

“Choi Siwon” Wes introduced “He’s actually a nice guy if you get to know him” he smiled

I rolled my eyes as I sat down in the sofa to take off my shoes and my jeans

“You know you have to realize one day that I’m still a man” Wes said blushing as he quickly turned his back to avoid the sight of me practically getting in front of him

“You are??” I joked around as I struggled to get into this black jumpsuit I managed to dig in from my closet. I stood up the moment I got in the piece as I tried to tie the ends of the haltered top around my neck

“Yes” Wes bluntly answered and turned around to walk towards my direction “You want me to prove it?” he taunted as he whispered around my neck making me feel a little uncomfortable of the whole situation

Okay, let’s face it. Wes is hot. Hot body, hot brains, hot smile, hot everything. We’ve always had this understanding that we shouldn’t advance into anything romantic if we wanted to keep our friendship healthy. But every now and then, we’d get into this kind of situation and feel so darn awkward about it after.

He got the ends of my halter and tied it for me. “Gosh, you’re 23 years old and you still have a middle school girl’s body” he joked to ease up the awkwardness

I said nothing but hit him in the cheeks gently as we both laughed

“Hey, seriously thanks for saving my last minute” he smiled and held my shoulders “You’re the best” he added and gave me a thumbs up

“I know” I winked and laughed after

“Oh, please be nice out there” Wes reminded me “I may look at you like a small girl  but for some reason you always get the guys on weddings” he laughed “So just try to be nice and don’t do anything mean” he pleaded

“I’ll try” I laughed as I placed my camera strap around my neck “If they don’t behave like the I met outside” I added

“You know you’d stop calling him that if you knew who really is” Wes stated as he was busy fixing his gear

“What’s his deal anyway?” I asked curiously

“He’s the ex boyfriend of the bride” Wes turned around and leaned in the table to sit “They were together for 8 years” he added “She broke up with him I think 3 years ago”

“Oh crap” I reacted somehow feeling guilty

“Yup” he laughed bitterly “I would never do that” he added

“What??” I said confused

“Go to my ex girlfriend’s wedding and be her Man of Honor!” he added “I seriously didn’t get it when he told me about it. He is such a martyr”

“Well I think that’s cool” I smiled

“Woah there, you were almost near to killing him minutes ago” he laughed

“People change, Wes” I joked

“I could tell you more about him but we got a wedding to shoot” he smiled “So, be nice okay? Don’t go all out y if he tries to approach you and apologize” Wes warned me like I’m his 5 year old daughter

“He wouldn’t do that in the first place” I said as I prepared to leave the room with Wes
