The rain was pouring steadily outside. Yuri sat in a chair next to the window with her foot propped on the seat, contemplating everything and nothing at the same time. So focused on her thoughts, Yuri didn’t notice someone sneaking up on her until a pair of arms enveloped her shoulders from behind.

“Mind if I think with you?”

Yuri chuckled momentarily and whispered, “Go ahead.” The two stayed in that position for a while watching the water cascading down the cool glass.

“What are you thinking about?”

Yuri turned around to see Tiffany eyesmiling at her.  She ran her fingers through the older woman’s hair and smiled. She replied honestly, “I don’t remember any more.”
