Tiffany entered the dark apartment and closed the door with a sigh. It was a rough day at work and she was frustrated. Dropping her belongings on a side table, she plopped down on the couch and closed her eyes. She felt something shift and opened them to see that she was not alone.

The figure shifted their position from lying to resting their back on one of the armrests. An outstretched arm was barely noticeable in the shadows. Without a word, Tiffany moved closer and cuddled herself against the person. Arms wrapped around her and a hand gently her hair. As her body start to relax and her eye lids fell, she let herself smile for the first time all day.

“Thank you Jessi.”
