Even A P.A

Again And Again

Yoona stopped the car in the parking lot. She got out and opened Jessica's door.

She looked at Jessica and smiled.

-"Idiot" Jessica muttered as she walked towards the elevator.

-"Off to work you go now" Yoona said as she locked the car and followed Jessica.

Jessica went inside the elevator. Yoona beside her.

She looked at Yoona. She looked at her closely almost as if observing her.

-"Something wrong?" Yoona asked smiling.

-"Huh? N-no" Jessica said stuttering.

Jessica's heart skipped a beat.

What the? What is this? Jessica thought.

The elevator stopped and Jessica got out, closely followed by Yoona.

Some of the workers recognized Yoona and as she walked they were making her a look of "Fighting".

Yoona smiled and each and everyone of them.

Jessica got inside her father's office. A girl was there. Sorting some papers.

-"Hello" The girl said as she turned around and bowed.

-"Hello" Yoona answered.

-"Ugh, who are you?" Jessica asked. Earning a nudge by Yoona.

-"What?!" Jessica asked.

-"Be polite" Yoona said as she smiled.

-"Ugh...Idiot" Jessica said as she glared Yoona but the girl only smiled brighter.

Jessica sighed and looked again at the girl.

-"Hello. Who are you?" Jessica asked in a more polite but forced tone.

-"I'm Choi Jin Ri" The girl answered.

-"You can call me Sulli" The girl said.

Yoona looked at the girl. She surely knew her from somewhere but she wasn't remembering.

-"I know Yoona unnie very well" Sulli said.

-"You do now?" Jessica asked in a uninterested tone.

-"Ah, wait I remember you" Yoona said as she smiled.

-"You are one from the orphanage" Yoona said.

-"I was, I just got out and got this job as a P.A" Sulli said.

-"Oh, nice to know that" Yoona said as she smiled.

-"Congratulations, I hope everything goes right for you" Yoona said as she hugged Sulli.

Jessica looked at both of them in disbelief. Then she looked at Yoona with a face of "What the hell do you think you're doing"

Yoona walked up to Jessica.

-"You should try it. Hugging people" Yoona said as she patted Jessica's shoulder.

-"Idiot" Jessica said as she walked to the desk.

-"Sulli right?" Jessica asked.

-"Yes" Sulli said.

-"I need you to tell me what work my father left for me" Jessica said.

-"Everything is sorted out on the files I left at the desk, after you read each of them you'll know" Sulli said.

-"Very well" Jessica said.

-"You can go now" Jessica said.

-"Yes m'am" Sulli said as she left.

She also did Fighting for Yoona.

Yoona smiled at the girl.

-"You...Idiot" Jessica said.

-"What?" Yoona asked.

-"Go somewhere" Jessica said.

-"Oh no missy, I'm not going anywere, I'll be staying right here" Yoona said.

-"What? Why?" Jessica asked.

-"Just in case you try to escape somewhere" Yoona said smiling.

-"Ugh...idiot. Sure then, suit yourself" Jessica said.

-"I will, no problem" Yoona said as she went up to a big bookshelf inside the office and looked at the books.

She picked one and sat down in one of the armchairs by the window.

She read the book, while closely keeping an eye on Jessica.

They stayed like that for a good 45 minutes.

-"Hey" Jessica said.

-"Something wrong?" Yoona asked.

-"Why do you do all this?" Jessica asked.

-"All what?" Yoona asked.

-"Why do you go around babysiting me" Jessica asked.

Yoona marked the page in the book and put it on top of the coffee table.

She looked at Jessica seriously now, no smiling.

-"Your father" Yoona said.

-"What about my father?" Jessica asked.

-"The day he hired me, he somehow had this expression...it wasn't good to see it. I somehow just want him not to worry" Yoona said.

-"What? He's my father not yours why the hell should you care?" Jessica said.

Yoona got up from her chair and walked up to Jessica.

She playfully hit her head.

-"Own, what was that for? Idiot" Jessica said.

-"You don't need to be someone's family to care about them" Yoona said as she smiled.

-"Perhaps one day you'll learn that" Yoona said as she walked to the door.

-"I'm gonna grab some coffee. Do you want something?" Yoona said.

-"Bring me an americano" Jessica said as she got back to her work.

Yoona got out of the office and looked at Sulli. The girl didn't seem okay.

-"Are you okay?" Yoona asked.

-"Uh? I'll be fine it's just a mild headache" Sulli said.

-"Okay" Yoona said as she wondered.

-"Could you please take care of Jessica while I'm out?" Yoona asked.

-"Huh, yeah sure" Sulli said.

-"Good, I'll be right back" Yoona said.

Jessica stopped looking through the files. She looked outside.

That idiot...

She remembered Yoona's words.

-"You don't need to be someone's family to care about them"

-"Perhaps one day you'll learn that"

What the hell does she mean that maybe one day Jessica would learn that?

Maybe she could teach her...

Jessica got up from the desk and walked to the coffee table.

The book Yoona was reading was there.

She looked at it.

Jessica was surprised at the book. She knew this book.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry. Jessica smiled. This was a book that her father used to read to her.

She went through the pages and on the last page. There was a picture.

Jessica read the caption.

"With love for my two beautiful daughters. Jessica and Krystal"

Jessica looked at the picture. She felt weak.

Tears threatened to come out.

It was a picture of Jessica and her younger sister.

Where was she? Was she okay? Jessica suddenly missed her sister.

"Come back quick idiot, I feel like breaking" Jessica thought as she looked down to the streets.

Yoona went to a coffee shop not far. She walked inside and went to the counter. She ordered. The girl asked her to wait. Yoona sat in one of the tables next to the counter. She noticed a black haired girl reading a book. Oh? It was the same book Yoona was reading back in Jessica's office.

The girl put the book down and looked up to the building.

Yoona couldn't help but think that somehow the girl looked like Jessica...a lot.

-"Im Yoona, Im Yoona" The worker called.

Yoona quickly dispelled her thoughts and went to grab her order. She left the coffee shop. Wondering.

Yoona got back to the office. She looked at Sulli who still seemed a bit off.

-"Are you sure you are okay?" Yoona asked.

-"Yes, I'll be fine don't worry" Sulli said.

-"Jessica?" Yoona asked.

-"I think Ms.Jung is inside, I haven't seen her at least..." Sulli said hesitant.

Yoona came inside. She was surprised that Jessica wasn't inside. She quickly ran out.

-"Did you go anywhere?" Yoona asked Sulli in a nervous tone.

-"Yes I went to grab some water, but...it was only a minuter or two" Sulli said.

-"Okay...Let's see...where could she have gone?" Yoona asked herself.

-"I'm sorry" Sulli said.

-"Ah, don't worry about it" Yoona said.

Yoona quickly walked to one of the offices near the elevator.

She asked one of the workers. The man told her, he saw Jessica go inside the elevator.

Yoona went near the elevators. An elevator was on the top floor of the building and the other was coming up.

It was just to floors down. Yoona waited until the elevator arrived. Jessica wasn't inside.

Yoona went inside and pressed for the top floor. She came out of the elevator.

The last floor was a small garden with some benches. Yoona searched all over the place.

She looked to the side and saw Jessica grabbing the railing tightly.

Yoona walked to her.

-"Are you okay?" Yoona asked.

-"Why did you have to choose that book..." Jessica said.

-"What?" Yoona asked not getting the situation.

-"The book you were reading why did you choose it?" Jessica said.

-"Oh. The Little Prince? It was once the only book I had in the orphanage. I've read it more than a thousand times but I still love it" Yoona said.

-"I see..." Jessica said as she gazed at the horizon.

-"Anything wrong?" Yoona asked.

-"That book, it was a book my father gave me and my sister, he used to read it for us" Jessica said.

-"By the way you're speaking...I assume your sister is..." Yoona said as she looked at Jessica.

-"Uh? No, no, nothing like that, she's alive...somewhere" Jessica said.

-"Somewhere?" Yoona asked.

-"She left home, about a year or so ago" Jessica said in a saddened tone.

-"I haven't heard from her since" Jessica said.

-"I see" Yoona said.

-"Don't you have any siblings?" Jessica asked.

-"Me? No, all my siblings are the children in the orphanage, either from my time or newcomers, they are all my brothers and sisters" Yoona said.

-"Parentless siblings, that's what we all are" Yoona said as she smiled.

Jessica looked at her. How can she be smiling? How can she be smiling at the fact that she doesn't have any family, that she's all alone.

How can someone be okay with that...

-"You...what are you?" The words escaped Jessica's lips.

-"I'm Im Yoona" Yoona answered.

Jessica smiled.

Yoona smiled back.

-"Are you okay now?" Yoona asked.

-"I am" Jessica said.

-"Good, now back to work" Yoona said as she walked beside Jessica.

They both went down, back to the office. As they got out of the elevator a commotion could be heard in the hallway.

Yoona went to see what was wrong followed by Jessica.

Sulli had fainted. Yoona quickly ran to the girl.

-"Move out, move out, let her breath for god's sake" Yoona said to all the workers.

-"Anyone called the ambulance?" Yoona asked.

-"I did, I don't know what happened" A lady said.

-"Thank you" Yoona said.

Yoona grabbed Sulli and lifted her up. Bridal style. She walked and laid the girl down on the couch inside Jessica's office.

-"I knew I remembered her, she was really weak when she was at the orphanage" Yoona said.

-"Will she be okay?" Jessica asked.

-"She will, but she can't work anymore" Yoona said.

-"Don't worry I'll get someone else to do her job" Jessica said.

-"No, I'll do it for her. I'll explain to your father no need to pay me anything" Yoona said.

Jessica looked at Yoona and she actually admired her.

The EMT's came soon after and took Sulli to the hospital.

As soon as they left Yoona looked at Jessica.

-"Go back to what you were doing" Yoona said.

-"I'll see what Sulli was doing" Yoona said.

Jessica didn't answer and only followed Yoona's order.

Yoona came out of the office and sat in Sulli's desk.

She read all her notes, and post-its. She went through the latest documents she was doing.

She suddenly started typing and writing somethings.

Slowly Yoona did Sulli's work. She got up and by guiding herself through signs on the walls she went and gave the documents to each department.

Of course the workers were suprised to see Yoona. But some of them recognized her from the day she had carried Jessica.

Before either Yoona or Jessica could notice it. It was already lunch time.

Yoona walked back to Jessica's office.

She slightly opened the door and looked inside. Jessica was still working.

Yoona closed the door and sat in Sulli's desk. She looked for the next thing to do. She seemed to have done everything for at least now.

She got up and walked inside Jessica's office. She sat back on the armchair and continued to read The Little Prince.

15 minutes had gone by when suddenly Jessica spoke.

-"So you're gonna enslave me and I don't get to eat?" Jessica said.

-"Oh yeah, I wasn't hungry so I didn't thought of it much" Yoona said but suddenly her stomach growled.

-"You weren't hungry huh" Jessica said.

-"Let's go eat...idiot" Jessica said as she got up.

Yoona followed her and they went down to the parking lot.

Yoona opened the door for Jessica and sat in the driver's seat.

-"So...where to?" Yoona asked.

-"Go anywhere you feel like it" Jessica said.

-"Are you sure?" Yoona asked.

-"Yes. Why?" Jessica asked.

-"Well, you might not like it...you know...I'm...poor" Yoona asked.

-"Just go anywhere" Jessica said slightly pissed off.

-"Sure do" Yoona answered as she started the car and drove out of the building.

Yoona drived for a few minutes. The drive was silent and neither Jessica nor Yoona said anything.

Jessica looked at the rearview mirror. She looked at Yoona's eyes.

This girl...How can she live so brightly she wondered about that.

Jessica wanted to ask her. So many things. She felt like she had a thousand questions but...it wasn't her place to ask any.

Yoona stopped the car. She opened Jessica's door.

Jessica came out and looked around. She looked to the building in front of her.

-"Really? A Korean BBQ?" Jessica said.

-"You told me to go anywhere" Yoona said smiling.

-"Ugh...idiot. Let's go inside" Jessica said.

-"Sure" Yoona said as she walked beside Jessica.

They went inside and sat in one of the tables.

A young lady came to take their orders.

Yoona ordered while Jessica only looked around.

It seemed to be a decent place. Her clothes would smell of grilled meat. But she was hungry so she dispelled her thoughts.

-"So do you come here often?" Jessica asked.

-"What? What kind of question is that?" Yoona said.

-"I don't know. That girl seemed to know you" Jessica said.

-"Yeah, I actually come here some times. When I have the money..." Yoona said.

-"When you have the money? This place doesn't seem expensive" Jessica said.

-"I like to keep some of my money to buy things for my brothers and sisters" Yoona said smiling.

Eh? She keeps money for the kids in the orphanage? Jessica thought.

-"Also I eat...a lot, so coming here is expensive...for me" Yoona said.

Jessica didn't answer.

-"You've never been to this kind of place?" Yoona asked.

-"No" Jessica said.

-"Really?" Yoona asked smiling.

-"Yes" Jessica answered.

-"Gosh then you don't know what you've been missing" Yoona said as she smiled.

Smiling again Jessica thought.

The food arrived and while Yoona grilled some meat Jessica ate a bit of rice and other side dishes.

Then Yoona gave the meat to Jessica. And started grilling for herself.

Jessica was only surprised when Yoona started eating. She seemed to be a bottomless pit.

-"Aren't you full yet?" Jessica said.

-"Nope" Yoona said as she continued eating.

-"You trully are..." Jessica was saying.

-"An idiot, I know, I know" Yoona said.

They continued eating and Jessica could only look at the girl in surprise to the quantity she was eating.

They finished their meat and Jessica paid. Even though Yoona wanted to pay for her own food.

-"I'll pay my own" Yoona said.

-"What? Of course not, I'll pay" Jessica said.

-"Or you have some kind of messed up honor code that won't let me?" Jessica said.

Yoona was a bit hurt at the way she spoke but dismissed it with a smile.

-"Idiot" Jessica said as she paid.

They both got inside the car and Yoona drove back to the company.

How would be the rest of the day?
