Epilogue

Autumn Leaves

“Sir, sir! You forgot your wallet!”

He was already halfway down the block when he heard the store clerk shouting.  He turned and rushed back, grabbing his wallet out of the clerk’s hand.

“Thanks!” He yelled over his shoulder, rushing away. He was in a hurry. A big hurry.

The traffic seemed heavier than usual, which slowed him down more. He honked his horn and weaved into whichever lane seemed the quickest. He flicked on the car radio, fiddling with the dial until he found a station that carried it.

In a few minutes he was home, parked outside of the white townhouse. He jumped out of the car, almost forgetting to grab the Pimms in the back seat.

He knew the door would be unlocked, it always was. At least if someone was there. He pushed the door open, kicking off his shoes at the same time.

The television was already blaring from the other room. He threw off his coat and walked into the spacious living room.

The scene before him was what made him happiest in the world. Luhan was leaning against the couch, his legs splayed out in front of him. His copper hair was mussed up. He was busy munching on a cookie, engrossed in the football game on the television. When Minseok walked in Luhan looked up at him and smiled. That smile, the smile that made Minseok the happiest man in all of the world.

“I’m home” He dropped the Pimms on the floor and plopped down next to Luhan, dropping a kiss on Luhan’s cheek.

“It just started.” Luhan smiled, finishing his cookie with one bite.

“Remember to chew” Minseok ruffled Luhan’s hair, then pulled him towards him. He liked it when they sat like that, Luhan in his arms, both of them leaning back and watching their favorite football teams compete.

Luhan sunk back into Minseok’s embrace. He would never grow tired of being close to Minseok, feeling his breathing, relaxing together.

If he had thought back to the past he would never have guessed that they would be here like this. It had been two years since Minseok had called off his wedding. It had been two years since Minseok had relinquished his title of Crown Prince, handing it off to Joon Myun. Now he was simply another Korean guy living in London (albeit with some paparazzi that followed him now and then).

They had moved there to start their lives together. It had been an easy decision, they both loved football and London. Now they had a townhouse in Marylebone, a car, and matching rings. And they had never been happier.

They had gotten married five months before, in autumn. It was a small wedding, only close friends and a few family members had attended. Jong Dae came and so did Chanyeol. Sehun made it, representing the Korean royal family. No one from the Chinese royal family came, but Luhan was okay with that. It was still a bit shocking for the world that two princes had essentially given up their titles to be together. What was important was that both Luhan and Minseok knew that their families were happy for them – happy as long as they were happy.

“I love you” Minseok whispered into Luhan’s ear, tightening his embrace. He could never say the words enough.

“I love you too” Luhan sighed, content. “Forever.”

Minseok nodded. “Forever.”

a/n- Thank you for reading my first fan fiction! Please let me know what you think in the comments. Personally, I needed Luhan and Minseok to have a happy and adorable ending. ^_^ As for the others (cough *Eun Ji and Joon Myun, Sehun and the M1 gang, Chanyeol, Jong Dae, Yixing, Zitao, Heechul, Taemin and Nauen, * cough) I am hoping to write their stories soon. ~ London Calling

Chapter 16: Stumbling apon this, reading, reading on and on (and on …) straight to the end, being left breathelessly, speechlessly, feeling delighted, all in one go … Words fail me. I'm at a loss for words to explain, to describe how incredibly amazing your story is to me, that is. Are you serious this is your first fanfic?! The dreams, the loss of memories, the recovery, the separation, the reunion *sighs deeply* … The whole idea, the acting persons, the setting, the knowledge or at least the description of Korean court etiquette, the plethora of details, the curious moments in between, the progress of the story, fraught with tension (not to mention the - basically written way too beautiful to be simply called ''), slow but steady - despite the angst - sending me into rapture … [ Argh, will you excuse me for a moment? *squeals extensively* *takes a deep breathe* Yep, that’s better. Awkward but badly-needed, I'm sorry :D Where was I? *coughs slightly* Oh well …] leading to the pure loveliness of this beautiful ending. After all … XiuHan as crown prince of Korea and prince of China married? In London? Watching a soccer game? I love you :) :) :) Seriously, I want to tell you how much I appreciate your story, how much I enjoyed reading it, and I sincerely want to thank you, especially once more for the adorable happy end. Obviously I wasn't that poor in words as anticipated at the beginning. Please excuse this torrent of words :)
