to lead, induce, persuade

Kai bit into his still warm white chocolate cranberry cookie as he was silently listening to Kris and Hye making up a plan. “In order to make all the changes we want, we have to move fast” Hye said as a matter of fact, whereas Kris saw things a bit different. “You’re wrong. We need to have patience and slowly gain favor from everyone before going into action” he explained a bit irritated, Kris had been arguing with her about how to launch their attack for over an hour now. “If we’re going to do this we should do it right, and not beat around the bush! We’d be the same nasty ty people as the rest of the ruler system if we do it your way” Hye answered equally irritated by Kris his stubbornness. “Hye sure has a point there” Kai remarked after his cookie had disappeared. But as soon as Kai noticed Kris frowning he added “but with moving slow no mistakes will be made and a rebellion could perhaps be avoided?”. “Don’t you guys understand that we need a rebellion?! We need the people to back us up, that way we can smoothly take over and change the whole thing. We just have to make sure that it’s us who start the rebellion and not some crazy power-psych person” Hye cried out. It was the only thing that made sense in her eyes. They were, after all, going to change things so everyone could be equal and make them happier, letting them live a better life!

Kai nodded “In history books a rebellion always causes the change, you have to admit to that Kris”, he backed Hye up. “I know that” Kris answered, his lips formed a thin line, obviously not content with where this conversation was going. “But do you understand that there will be lives lost with a rebellion? Especially with our ways, the government wouldn’t stand down without a fight. Even worse, we could die. The government would kill us first If a rebellion does break lose thanks to us..” he let out his thoughts and roughed his hair up with his hands as he finished.

Hye let out a tiny smile as she asked Kris “How many robots are under your control again?”. Kai’s eyes lit up “We could protect the people! The robots, I mean..” he said excitedly. “Not all robots are under my command anymore.. I could make a new chip and put those in all the new models, with that we could activate them to work under our command at any time we want..” Kris shared his thoughts. “That would give us a lot of power, right?” Hye asked, not understanding why Kris still looked rather concerned. “It would.. But I doubt if it would be enough to ever defeat the ones the government owes and controls” Kris said with a pained expression, there was obviously some information about the government that he knew, but wasn’t sharing yet. “What is that they have that lets you doubt about your creations?” Kai asked Kris, never having seen his maker have this expression before concerned him greatly. “Yes Kris, what is it that you know but won’t tell us about?” Hye asked eagerly wanting to know as to why Kris would doubt his own creations.

“It’s complicated, I can’t tell, and more importantly, I can’t do anything about this power that the government holds. We.. I.. I mean, it’s..” Kris stumbled over his own words, not making any sense anymore. “Spill it already!” Hye said, not understanding what could be so complicated about some sort of power. “There are more.. like Kai. But they’re different” Kris finally spilled. “More like me? What is that supposed to mean? And how are they different then?” Kai asked shocked about this new information. “Well.. these people, they were human from the start. They’re specially trained by the government as the special force of the army, they asked me to ‘enhance’ their bodies, making them ultimate and pretty much immortal” Kris tried to explain. But both Kai and Hye had trouble with keeping up with the new information that just came free. “Does that mean, they got laser eyes or something?” Hye asked impressed and trying to figure out with her mind what those people would look like with their ‘enhanced’ bodies. Kris let out a small laugh at Hye’s remark, “Well, they can’t really shoot lasers with their eyes.. but they don’t feel pain, as they have an armor of an robot, a special new kind. Like the one Kai has. It’s almost unnoticeable, unless you open them up. They all  got some special kind of force or more like an ability installed in their ‘enhanced’ bodies.” He explained further.

“What kind of abilities should we think of?” Hye asked, getting curious about this new technology that she has never even heard of. “Something like.. telekinesis, control over fire, water or wind. These type of abilities” Kris answered softly.  “They are the real super humans huh?” Kai sighed, suddenly feeling like he wasn’t all that special with his beating heart anymore. But he quickly took that thought back, he really liked his thumping lump of meat inside of him, he had rather grown attached to the sound of his heartbeat as he tried to fall asleep.

“No, they’re just creepy guys, you’re the real super human” Hye smiled at Kai, trying to lighten him up, which surely worked, Kai was quickly recovered with a big smile. “But.. you installed those special abilities right? Couldn’t you install it in others as well?” Hye asked turning back to Kris. “Well.. I could but, I doubt that there’s anyone that we can install it into, unless they’re half robot, half human” Kris laughed, not realizing what he just said. “You are seriously saying that while Kai is sitting right here?” Hye answered unamused. Kai couldn’t help but let out a laugh at the situation, his own maker forgetting that he his half human half robot. “Ohhhhhhhhh… right” Kris also let out an awkward laugh after realizing his stupid mistake “sorry” he said. “Is it possible.. to ‘enhance’ me?” Kai turned to Kris, now fully serious again. “I suppose, it could be done, we have one ability we haven’t used yet for the other.. It takes a serious amount of time to create these abilities. We worked for three years on them, so I can’t really make new ones in the blink of an eye” Kris said. Hye nodded, letting the words sink in “So what kind of ability do you have left?” she asked, and Kai looked like he was dying to know the answer. “Good question! The ability we have left is rather useful, it’s teleportation” he answered making Kai even more excited than he already was. “So when can you get me ‘enhanced’?” Kai asked eagerly. “I suppose we should install it as soon as possible so you can train the ability a bit” Kris answered.

“But what about those others?” Hye interfered. “What do you mean?” Kris aksed a bit confused at what Hye was talking about. “What do those guys with your ‘enhanced’ powers think of the people they work for? Couldn’t they help us? If they were humans and in the army, they shouldn’t think too highly of the government right?” Hye questioned, more to herself really than to Kris. “I haven’t really talked with them privately about matters such as that, but if they let their bodies change this much for the government I’m not sure if we do want to talk about things such as that” Kris shot down Hye’s  hope at help.

Hye rubbed her eyes with her hands, feeling tired from all the thinking that her brain had done today. “Do you think it’s possible?” she asked Kai, who was lying next to her on the grass. Both of them returned home after dinner, feeling exhausted of all the discussions and plans that still hadn’t formed a complete idea for them. To cool of her head Hye went outside in the garden to enjoy the breeze cooling her face and gaze the stars to calm her mind. Kai followed her, as it seemed to him to be the most logical thing to do, something just kept attracting him to her, but he didn’t really understand what it was. “I believe anything is possible, as long as you don’t give up on it” Kai finally answered after a short silence. “Right” Hye let out a sigh and they just silently gazed the stars together until both of them fell asleep.

Hye awakened as the morning sun her face lightly, she felt warmth all around her, and cuddled with her .. with her.. wait. What was she cuddling with?! Her eyes shot open in shock and the angelic face of Kai was what she was met with. She calmed down as she remembered them falling asleep together outside, he must have wanted to keep her from getting a cold and provided his warmth to do so. “Ah, how can a robot be so handsome” she whispered to herself and then closed her eyes for a bit more, as they still felt a bit tired.
Kai couldn’t hold back a huge grin when he heard Hye’s words and a pinkish color formed on his cheeks. However Kai decided it was probably best to act like he was still sleeping, so he quickly closed his eyes following Hye’s example and dreaming about her just a bit more.

A short update, with mainly Kris, Hye and Kai thinking of what to dooo, but oh well, it's something.
If you're wondering: Yes, I'm thinking of letting the other exo guys join in and get some action into this story, I feel like it has been just a bit too peaceful around Hye for too long hahaha. So look forward to some action :D
