♦The Coffee Princes♦

The aura in the XOXO Café was warm and welcoming as always. People of all sorts came into the cozy coffee shop. Couples, high school kids, elders, all you could think of. The café wasn't very popular but it was a great place to just hang out, relax, or simply want a good cup of coffee.
"Welcome to XOXO Café." Xiumin raised his head from his work and smiled at the young girls that walked into the store. The girls giggled at the good looking boy welcoming them. One thing that the café was famous for was the workers, also known as the coffee 'Princes.' All 12 workers of the coffee shop were good looking but did their job with the upmost kindness.
Xiumin went back to make the latte. Being the co-owner of the shop and head barista kept him busy throughout the day, but he always managed to say hi to the entering customers.
"Hey Jongin! The latte is ready." Xiumin yelled out to Kai who was busy serving the drinks and pastries to others. "Coming." Jongin placed the plate on the table and walked back to the counter to pick up the latte. "Thanks Jongin." Xiumin thanked the younger boy. Kai gave a smiled and went back to work.
"It's pretty busy for a Tuesday." Kyungsoo, one of the baristas, said as he wiped his hands on the towel.
"Should we call Joonmyun in?" Luhan stated while counting the money on the cashier.
"No we'll be fine." Xiumin shrugged, "It's probably because exams are almost coming up, people want to come here between tutoring to relax."
"Well that just means more business for us." Chanyeol, a baker, stated while placing some treats into the window display. He seemed a bit tired from all the baking he's been having to do today. He was currently the only baker working today.
The boys nodded in agreement at the thought, they went back to working as a sudden flood of college students came in.
"Looks like you guys are pretty busy today?" Ella giggled as she approached the counter.
She was regular to the café and some of the workers knew Ella's usual order by heart. Ella wasn't incredible close with any of the boys, but she always came in the shop with a smile and talked with them, which they appreciated.
"You have no idea. Just floods of student coming in. The usual Ella?" Luhan wiped out his notepad and started writing down the order. One Chai tea latte with 3 pumps of cinnamon with a specially made blueberry and lemon scone. "But you might have to wait on the scones."
"That's okay, I can wait. I'm with my friends anyway." Ella took out some money and gave the proper amount to Luhan. "Thanks Luhan." She smiled one more time before ending to where her friends were seated.
Luhan gave the order to Xiumin, who examined the paper. "Is this scone even on the menu?"
Luhan shook his head, "Nope. But one of our bakers makes it specially for Ella." He chuckled.
When Chanyeol recieved the order to make his special blueberry and lemon mixed scone he knew that it was Ella. He couldn't stop the growing smile on his face, causing his cheek bones to rise. He quickly started working on the scones that he knew how to make by heart. It wasn't surprising to the other workers that Chanyeol had a little crush on regular customer Ella. Ever since she started coming to the café on a regular basis, Chanyeol couldn't help but be drawn to Ella.
Ella conversed with her friends and occasionally glancing at the counter to see if her order was ready. She knew that one of the servers were going to drop it off her table but still... When Chanyeol came out of the back room with a bag of blueberry/lemon scones, Ella shot up from her seat and walked towards the counter.
"Ella you don't have to walk up here to pick up your order." Xiumin couldn't help but raise his eyebrows in a teasing way, knowing exactly why she came up.
"I know that~" Ella glanced at Chanyeol then back at Xiumin, "But I just love those scones." She smiled brightly.
"Well here's your Chai Tea Latte... and, Chanyeol will give you the scones." Xiumin handed her the drink then went back to working. Chanyeol shyly approached closer to Ella and handed her the bag with the scone in it. "Hey Ella. Don't tell Xiumin... but I put in an extra scone for you." He said softly while offering his happy virus smile.
Ella took the bag and peeked inside, her smile grew even wider as she looked back up to Chanyeol. "I promise I won't tell." She whispered back, "Thanks for the scones and... yeah." Ella bit her lip, a habit she wished she could break and one that Chanyeol loved. "No prob! Just tell me if you need anything else." Chanyeol smiled back.
"Okay, I'll see you later Chanyeol." Ella waved bye while walking backwards then turning to go back to her seat. Chanyeol waved back and then did a little fist pump. Every time he got to talk to his pretty Ella he did that.
"I'm glad you're excited, but get back to work." Kyungsoo wacked Chanyeol in the shoulder but offered a smile.
"Hold on." Chanyeol rubbed his shoulder and took one last look at Ella talking with her friends. She was smiling at first, then he heard the beautiful laughter he liked so much. Ella bit into her scone and her lips to wipe off the lemon syrup, smiling in satisfaction.
"Now I can go back to work." Chanyeol gave a lop-sided smile and walked back to the back. The happy virus was now recharged for the busy day ahead.
AUTHOR'S NOTE.
Here it is the first chapter of 'The Coffee Princes.' I didn't want to pack all 12 characters into one intro chapter thingy so I just focused mainly on Chanyeol and Ella. So a heads up to anybody reading this, Chanyeol is one of my two biases in EXO XD So don't be surprised if Chanyeol and Ella get A LOT of interactions.
