CH 4

♦The Coffee Princes♦

ch 4

Xiumin rubbed his temples with his index fingers, trying to get fight off the growing headache. "You okay there hyung?" Suho asked, showing some concern for the older boy.

"Yeah yeah I'm fine." Xiumin waved it off, not wanting to cause a scene at work. After all he was the boss.

It was one of the busiest days for the XOXO Café and Xiumin was having a rough time dealing with all the work. For some reason Xiumin woke up this moring with a killer headache and it just kept on growing worse.

"You don't seem fine." Suho frowned, "Why don't you take a break? I'm sure I can handle things for now." Though Xiumin was the boss and older than Suho, the younger male always seemed like a motherly figure to the workers.

"No no, you need someone to help you."

"I'll call Kyungsoo in and if it gets worse I'm sure Tao or Sehun could fill in just fine." Suho pushed Xiumin out of the counter are, "I'll make you some hot tea, for now go sit in our comfy couches you bought."

Xiumin allowed Suho to push him away from the counter, "Thanks Joonmyun." He smiled gratefully and walked over to the couches in the very corner of the shop. As Xiumin walked he took off his black apron causing some of the girls in the shop to glance at him. "He's actually pretty cute." Xiumin heard one of the girls whisper and he couldn't help but smile. Rarely did Xiumin get complimented by the customers since he was always busy making the drinks instead of serving them and working the cashier.

Xiumin plopped on the couches and leaned his head back and groaned softly. Suho was right, Xiumin needed a break. He closed his eyes for a minute before a felt a presence standing near him. Opening his eyes he saw a very familiar face.

"You feeling okay Minseok?"

Xiumin sat straight up and smiled at the lady in front of him, "I'm okay Jane, just needed some rest."

Jane is one of the very many regular's at XOXO Café, but she's been around longer then most. She was even around when the coffee shop first opened up and has been an all time favorite to the workers.

Jane gave a worried expression, "You don't seem okay." She took a seat next Xiumin, "You should just head home if you don't feel good. Do you want some medicine?"

Another thing about Jane, she always cared. Xiumin has never met anybody so caring, sure he's met girls who were kind, but Jane was like a mother figure to the boys.

Xiumin shook his head, "Don't worry so much Jane-ssi, it's just a small headache. I'll..." He looked into Jane's eyes. They were so filled with concern and tenderness that Xiumin couldn't even form a proper sentence, he just stared.

"Here," Jane digged through her huge bag and took out a medicine bottle, "This should help with the headache." She poured out two white pills into her palm. Grabbing onto Xiumin's hand she placed the pills in his open palm and then rolled the finges to a close to fist around the pills. "Don't want you getting worse." Jane smiled, still holding onto Xiumin fisted hand.

Xiumin slowly nodded but then formed a smile, "Thanks Jane, I owe you one."

Jane shook her head, "It's okay, just get better for me. Okay?"

"I promise."

"Good." Jane patted Xiumin's hand and gave another sweet smile, her eyes lighting up.

"Here's your drink Jane." Kris, one of the 4 servers, came up to them. "Ah thank you Yifan." Jane grabbed the styrofoam cup from Kris' hand. "And this is for you boss." Kris placed a mug on the table, "Joonmyun ordered you to drink it." He smirked.

Xiumin sighed, "Why do I feel like a child right now?" He placed the pills in his mouth and took a sip of the tea. Even if the tea was hot, Xiumin was able to handle it. After he swallowed the contents he cracked his neck and sighed again. Jane couldn't but laugh, "Aigoo you're funny Minseok." She took a sip of her drink, "Ahh~ That hit the spot. Yifan tell Joonmyun to keep these coming. I'm going to be here for a long time."

At that moment Jane took out her laptop from her bag. No wonder why it was so big. Xiumin raised one eyebrow while continuing to sip his tea.

"You planning on writing?" Kris asked.

"Of course, I always write all my articles here." Jane opened up her laptop and turned it on.

"Still working for that National Geographic magazine?" Xiumin leaned over to look at the laptop screen.

"Yeah... I have to write at least 7 pages worth about that uncovered pharoh's tomb in Egypt."  Jane started to open up a document. She was currently a writer for the National Geographic magazines. She wrote the articles in both English and Korean, so that made her a vital writer for the company.

"Well Minseok will keep you company, and just call me if you want more drinks." Kris winked at Xiumin which caused the older boy to glare.

"Thank you Yifan." Jane looked up from her screen and smiled brightly once again.

Once Kris left, Jane and Minseok sat quietly on the couch. The only noise between them was Jane's typing and occasional sip of her coffee. Xiumin just lazily looked at the work that Jane was doing, leaning his head against the couch. He was starting to get a bit drowsy from the medicine he took earlier.

"You can lean you're head on my shoulder Minseok. I don't mind." Jane turned to look at Xiumin with a small smile, "The medicine is pretty strong."

Xiumin shook his head, stuffing his face into the crease of the cushions, "I'll be fine..." He trailed on, letting the drowsiness. His head bobbed for a quick sec then landed on Jane's shoulder. "I told you." Jane whispered softly. She let Xiumin rest as she typed, not really caring of what was going around her.

"Guys check it out." Kris leaned over the counter and pointed towards where Jane and Xiumin sat. Baekhyun, who was out of the kitchen for once, look to where Kris was pointing. "Dang. Go Minseok!" Baekhyun clapped, "But who exactly is that?"

"Her name is Jane, she's been coming to the shop since the first day it opened." Suho rinsed his hands in the sink.

"Are they dating?" Baekhyun asked.

"No... which is surprising." Kris stated. The three at the counter just watched Jane and Xiumin. "Man you guys get all the girls!" Baekhyun broke the silence.

"What are you talking about? I'm y, free, and single." Kris huffed.

"Plus you're a dork." Another voice appeared, but this time it was women.

"Yoonmi, what are you doing here?" Suho left the coffee bar and came up to the beautiful lady that just walked in.

"What?" Yoonmi smiled as Suho stood near her his, "A girlfriend can't visit her boyfriend at work?" She wrapped her arm around his waist.

"Not if she's going to bully me." Kris pretended to scowl at Yoonmi.

Yoonmi giggled, "Well it's true Yifan. The girls here may call you 'cold' prince but in real life..." She poked his stomach, "You. are. a. dork."

Kris huffed again, "Well Joonmyun is a bigger dork then me and yet you're dating him."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Suho asked.

"Joonmyun is cuter, that's why." Yoonmi turned to look at Suho and smiled, "Plus he's a very caring man." This caused Suho to blush and look to the ground.

Baekhyun couldn't help but groan in jealousy, "You have a girlfriend too hyung?"

"And whose this?" Yoonmi let go of Suho's waist and walked up to the counter to smile at Baekhyun, "You must be new. I'm Oh Yoonmi, nice to meet you." She extended her hand out.

Baekhyun took a good look at Yoonmi face, she was pretty, totally his type. But Baekhyun knew his boundaries so he shook Yoonmi's hand, "Nice to meet you Yoonmi-ssi, I'm Byn Baekhyun one of the new bakers."

Yoonmi smiled, "A new baker huh? Well I'll be sure to remember you." She let go of his hand, "Now. Can I please have one vanialla ice coffee?"

Suho went straight to work, "I'll make it for you."

"Thank you Joonmyun." Yoonmi leaned over the counter and gave Suho a kiss on the cheek. "I''ll be sitting down." She then skipped to the couches where Jane and Xiumin sat.

"How long have you've been dating Yoonmi-ssi?" Baekhyun asked.

"About 4 months. But I've known her since middle school." Suho started to make his girlfriend's drink.

"You've known her for that long?" Baekhyun's eyes widened. Suho nodded, "We decided to give dating a try..." He poured the drink from the container into a cup. "Why didn't you ask her out earlier?" Baekhyun continued to ask.

Suho was quiet for a moment then he sighed, "Just look at her and you'll know why."

Baekhyun looked to Kris with a confused expression, but the older boy just shook his head to make Baekhyun stop asking questions. "Yifan can you give this to Yoonmi?" Suho handed the cup to Kris. "Yeah sure." Kris took the drink and walked towards Yoonmi.

Yoonmi recieved the drink and took a sip, she looked at Joonmyun and made a cute face.

Suho chuckled growing a big smile on his face. Baekhyun stared back and forth at the couple's exchange of cute interactions then at Jane and Xiumin on the couch. He didn't know if it was the café or something in the air, but Baekhyun knew one thing. The whole place was just filled with romance! "I'm going back into the kitchen..." Baekhyun chuckled and disappeared.

AUTHOR'S NOTE.
So this chapter not only do you meet 1 girl but 2! Jane and Yoonmi are two of the older girls out of all the princesses, but they are also the two girls who have known the boys longer. I wanted to put them in the same chapter because well... I don't want to write so many chapters of just introducing one girl! XD Yoonmi and Jane are kinda like mother figures honestly... but I love them. I hoped you enjoyed this chapter!
