“Yeah, I was. Wasn't I?" He'd been more gullible, more ready to believe in happily ever after. To believe in the impossible.

Hyoyeon arrived with their food. The y blonde waitress chatted with the two of them for a minute or two as she dropped of the plates of their orders.

By the time she was gone, Sooyoung was diving into her food and the conversation had gone back.

“You never changed. You still loves food more than everything." Siwon half-.

“I guess you are right." Sooyoung answered with a soft giggle.

“Some things never change." Siwon said.

And being so smart, Sooyoung got what he was trying to deliver “No Siwon. There is no constant but change." She made quick work of her meal, as if she couldn't wait to get out of there, and finished off her glass of wine, refusing for a second. Clearly, there would be no tipsy mistakes, no wine-induced reunions or hugs and kisses.

Sooyoung insisted on paying half the bill. “This isn't a date, Siwon."

“Of course not." He said flatly. “Two old friends catching up, right?"

“Yes. That's all it is." But she turned away as she said it.

They called goodbye to Kyuhyun and Hyoyeon, and finally left the restaurant. Sooyoung frowned when she glanced out the wide window of the airport and saw the storm still gusting.

“I guess Mother Nature seems very determined to keep us together." He grinned

“My client is going to freak. In fact," she dug her phone out of her back pocket and sighed “she called me ten times in the last hour. I bet reception was poor in that back corner and that's why I missed her calls." She started to dial but Siwon covered her hand.

“Let it go Sooyoung. Take a break. You look like you really need to use one." And so she did, indeed, look very tired.

“This is my job Siwon. I have to call her back." Sooyoung pulled away and dialed. An instant later, she was connected with someone on the other end, someone whose high-pitched voice carried all the way through the phone, enough that Siwon could make out part of the conversation. “It's okay Yoona.
