CHAPTER 2

 

“I'm not in love pabo, he's just really hot” Zelo gushed, suddenly feeling like Youngjae when he is around Jiyong.

 

“Well thank you” A deep voice chuckled, making Zelo jump out of shock as he turned to meet the very hot Yongguk for the first time.

 

Zelo blushed furiously, staring at the slightly smaller, but in no way short man in front of him.

 

“I... Ugh... Hi?” Zelo blushed, smiling to try and lighten the mood slightly. A laugh left Yongguks mouth.

 

“You must be Zelo, it's nice to meet you” Yongguk laughed, stretching his arm out for Zelo to shake. Zelo shook his hand, bowing slightly, his blush disappearing. Yongguk then turned to face Jongup.

 

“And you must be Jongup, Himchan won't shut up about you.” Jongup also blushed as he shook his hand and bowed.

 

“I hope it was nothing bad” Jongup laughed, turning to face his boyfriend who had unknowingly to Zelo crept behind Jongup and hugged him from behind, resting his chin on Jongups shoulder.

 

“Of course not! Do you really think that bad of me to talk rap behind you're back? You pabo” Himchan laughed, shaking his head. Jongup shook his head then turned his head to kiss Himchan on the cheek.

 

“No Hyung, of course not” Jongup laughed. Zelo and Yongguk watched the affection in silence, both smiling to themselves at how cute their friends are.

 

“Anyway, We just need to get Daehyun and Youngjae and then we'll head?” Zelo questioned, receiving nods in return.

 

It didn't take long for Daehyun and Youngjae to come running, both out of breath. Daehyun was bent over trying to catch his breath back, wheezing slightly as Jongup awkwardly patted his back.

 

“You know Hyung, you wouldn't be so out of breath if you ate less” Jongup was met with a death glare as Daehyun batted his hand away.

 

“Never... Take... Food... From... Me” Daehyun wheezed between breaths. Zelo smiled at his friend, shaking his head at how silly his Hyung was. “Besides, it's all Youngjae's fault! He demanded to go to the toilet to “Make sure he looked good for Jiyong Hyung” as he put it” Daehyun grumbled, throwing a piece of chocolate he seemed to conjure from nowhere at Youngjae. Youngjae let out a squeal as he batted the chocolate out of the way.

 

“What, I had to make sure my foundation wasn't patchy!” Youngjae grumbled pulling out a pocket mirror. Daehyun rolled his eyes.

 

“And you couldn't do that when we got to Zelo's house why?” He complained, standing up straight now that his breath had came back.

 

“Well what if like Jiyong was in the hall or the front room? It would have been so embarrassing!” Youngjae complained even more. Himchan shook his head, standing between the two arguing boys.

 

“Kids, Kids! Listen!” Himchan shouted, causing silence to fall over the group. Youngjae and Daehyun instantly shrank away, Daehyun going as far as using Zelo as a human shield. “You” He shouted pointing at Youngjae “Apologise for making everyone wait”

 

“I'm Sorry” Youngjae mumbles, Daehyun let out a smug snicker as he covered his mouth. Himchan then turned to Daehyun, eyes ablaze.

 

“And you. Apologise for being a whiny little ”

 

“HEY! That's mean” Daehyun pouted. Though he apologised anyway, bowing his head to Himchan. Yongguk watched on both simultaneously confused and amused at the situation before him. He couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous the two were. His laugh alerting Youngjae and Daehyun about his presence, both of them perking up instantly.

 

“You must be Yongguk! It's nice to meet you! I'm Youngjae, the cute and funny one of the group” Youngjae smiled, shaking Yongguks hand happily. Yongguk smiled, greeting the younger. Daehyun then stepped forward, pushing Youngjae out of the way with his hip.

 

“Puh-lease. I'm Daehyun, the way more cute and Funny one in the group” Daehyun smiled, even adding a peace sign to emphasise his point. Himchan quickly stepped in to handle the situation.

 

“Baby Zelo is the cutest, So both of you calm down before I have to kick your ” Himchan narrowed his eyes, glaring at the two boys who scampered away from his glare. Zelo cleared his throat raising his hand ever so slightly to grab there attention.

 

“We need to head soon, cos of you know...” Zelo laughed nervously rubbing his arm. Himchan everyone immediately became serious nodding their heads. Yongguk couldn't help but wonder what was so special about the unknown thing that would cause the usually misbehaving group to become so serious.

 

“Right of course, sorry. Let's get going” Himchan smiled, gesturing for everyone to walk. Himchan and Jongup held hands as they walked, swinging their hands between them. Youngjae and Daehyun seemed to have completely forgotten their previous argument as they were now playing happy slap as they walked, Zelo knew that wouldn't end well. Zelo was left to walk in front with Yongguk walking beside him, his hands in his pocket as he dragged his feet slightly, kicking any stones he could find. They walked in silence for a while until Yongguk got bored of the silence and decided to man up.

 

“So, Have you lived here long?” Yongguk asked, looking at Zelo as he walked. Zelo nodded, a smile on his face.

 

“Yeah, I've lived in the same house since I was born. And I attended school here. What about you? I know you just moved here but how long have you been here, and where about do you live?” Zelo asked, mimicking Yongguk by putting his hands in his jacket as the cold was making them numb.

 

“My family moved here about a week ago from Incheon, it's kind of different but Mokpo is nice” He smiled, scratching his nose as he smiled from his memories. Zelo nodded his head.

 

“So got any siblings then?” Zelo asked, continuing the conversation the best her could. Yongguk nodded.

 

“Yeah, I have a twin brother who is studying abroad and my Noona Natasha is working as a tattoo artist. What about you?” Zelo smiled, nodding his head.

 

“I have a Hyung Jiyong that Youngjae fancies. And a step sister Boa, but she's staying with her friend today.” Yongguk nodded, a genuine smile on his lips.

 

“Sounds fun. Does your Hyung have a job?” Yongguk asked. Zelo nodded readjusting his bag that had slid off his shoulder slightly.

 

“Yeah, two actually. He works for the bubble tea shop near the school and he also works as a bartender on the weekends. But he takes Night Classes so he can get qualifications so he can go to University.” Zelo explained. Yongguk frowned slightly.

 

“That seems like a lot of work.” Zelo shrugged his shoulders.

 

“Got to do what you got to do. I work with him at the bar, but I just clean up the place. And then on weekdays I work at the café that's on Gongdanno street. It's a bit of a journey to get their but I don't mind everyone that works there with me is really nice” Zelo smiled, thinking about his friends.

 

“Sounds like you have to do a lot of work. What about your Appa?” Zelo froze slightly, scratching his neck awkwardly.

 

“Uhm, he doesn't visit us any more, we still get money by mail every now and then but he and Umma had a fight when I was still very young and I don’t know why they fought, Hyung wont tell me. But my step Appa is very nice. He works very hard also as a Taxi driver” Zelo smiled. Yongguk nodded, deciding that he may have overstepped their acquaintanceship slightly he decided to change the topic. Though before he could change the topic subject Zelo had came to a stop and had pulled his bag off, rummaging in the pockets of the bag before pulling out a set of keys. He fumbled slightly, turning to laugh awkwardly to his Hyungs before opening the door.

 

They small group bustled into the apartment complexes hall, waiting for Zelo to go up first. He smiled at his Hyungs before running up the stairs taking them two at a time, ignoring how his Hyungs moaned about the extra exercise.

 

Reaching his apartment he opened the door, kicking his shoes off before quickly excusing himself as he ran across the hall into one of the rooms. From the quick glance Yongguk could see the room was incredibly dark and he was sure he could hear a soft beeping coming from the room. Yongguk jumped as a hand was set on his shoulder.

 

“Don't go in that room. Ever. Seriously if I find out you went in that room with out Zelos permission I will seriously kick your ” Himchans usually teasing voice was gone and Yongguk could tell by his tone of voice that he wasn't joking. Yongguk simply nodded.

 

“Of course”

 

“Oh hey!” A voice caught Yongguks attention and he turned to a young man who looked similar to Zelo who had emerged from the room Zelo had just went into. He smiled brightly at them but his hair was all over the place and he was very obviously tired. Youngjae practically skipped forward standing in front of the stranger.

 

“Hi Jiyong Hyung! How are you today?” Youngjae asked, smiling brightly to the elder. Yongguk finally clicked onto who the older man was and he let out a silent 'ah' of recognition.

 

“I'm okay Youngjae. And who are you? I don't think I've seen you before” Jiyong asked side stepping Youngjae to stand in front of Yongguk. Yongguk nodded, smiling.

 

“I just moved here from Incheon. It's nice to meet you” Yongguk shook Jiyongs hand before bowing down to the elder.

 

“Ah, that explains it. Zelo doesn't have many friends but he seems to hang out with the same 4 people usually. So it's strange to see a new face.” Jiyong smiled. Yongguk had to admire that he had a nice smile.

 

“Hey, I have more than 4 friends!” Zelo complained making his way into the hall. Jiyong laughed and ruffled his hair.

 

“I know, I know. I'm just teasing. Anyway, you guys go hang out I need to get ready for work. Remember to pay attention to...” Jiyong paused turning to Yongguk. He hesitated slightly “Um... Don't forget that you know what doesn't run out” Jiyong managed to say before making his way into the door adjacent to the door he had just emerged from. There was only three other doors in the hallway. Zelo led them all into the door closest to the front door which turned out to be the living room. Yongguk quickly kicked his shoes off stepping into the simple yet homey room.

 

The room was simply decorated with two couches that faced a simple small flat screen TV. There was a coffee table in the space between the TV and the couches, the desk was littered with simple family photo's and Yongguk couldn’t help but coo at the photos of a chubbier baby Zelo with Jiyong and a middle aged woman who was the spitting image of the boys, Yongguk immediately recognised the woman to be their mother; either that or a family member of some sort to bare such a strong resemblance.

 

“Right” Himchan groaned as he sat down on Jongups lap. Everyone else sat down on the couch or in Daehyuns case the floor as all the seats were taken. “We should play a game; One, so that Yongguk gets to know us better and two, so we don't get bored. I was thinking... Truth or dare” Himchan grinned. Everyone seemed to agree that it was a good idea so they continued on with the game.

 

“Right, seeing as he's new. Yongguk Hyung, you go first” Jongup smiled. Yongguk nodded okay before leaning forward slightly clasping his hands. “Truth or Dare?”

 

“...Dare” Himchan seemed to grow that Cheshire cat grin that he had only seen on Himchan one other time, which was when he had tripped one of the school bullies down the stairs 'on accident' of course.

 

“Kiss Zelo.” Did Yongguk just hear right? He assumed he did as Zelo had started to splutter and had grown an alarming shade of red. Youngjae had even started to fan the youngest as he was sure that he would combust from the heat of his cheeks. Yongguk simply shrugged his shoulders and made his way towards the younger boy.

 

“Are you okay with it? If not I can take a forfeit? Also what kind of kiss is it?” He asked, turning to face Himchan. “A peck, a granny kiss, open mouthed, what?” Yongguk asked. Himchan seemed to think for a second before answering.

 

“Open mouthed, no tongue; I'm not that mean to Zelo baby” Himchan concluded. Yongguk turned back to Zelo who had seemed to have calmed down quite a bit.

 

“Okay... You can kiss me” Zelo stuttered slightly, looking down playing with his hands as they had suddenly became way more interesting than everything else in the room. Yongguk nodded and raised his hand, lifting Zelos chin up so they were facing each other.

 

Yongguk didn't want to embarrass the boy any further so instead he wasted no time in leaning forward, tilting his head to the side so their noses didn't bump. Yongguk took the few seconds before their lips touched to appreciate that Zelos breath smelt like peppermint. Though the thought soon vanished as their lips made contact. Yongguk could tell as soon as they had started to move their lips that Zelo was inexperienced, moving his lips too quickly. Yongguk brought his hand to Zelos cheek trying to convey the point, he also made sure to slow down his own pace so Zelo got the idea. Zelo caught on and made a mental note to slow down.

 

Yongguk wasn't a liar. So he wasn't going to deny the fact that once Zelo found the right pace he wasn't actually that bad of a kisser. In fact if it had been under any other circumstance Yongguk would have been sure to have enjoyed it more.

 

He was about to pull away when there was a harsh tug on the back of his blazer sending him falling onto the ground. He was momentarily stunned as a punch connected with his cheek.

 

“Jiyong!” Zelo let out a squeak as he scrambled forward to check on the now wounded boy. Jiyong glared at his brother, eyes a flame as he rubbed his knuckles.

 

“No one touches my baby. No one.” Jiyong spat before hugging his baby brother and glaring at everyone in the room before leaving for work. The moment the door slammed shut Himchan let out a laugh, causing everyone else in the room to laugh minus Zelo and Yongguk.

 

“Well, I knew Jiyong was protective, but I didn’t think he would punch you” Himchan laughed. Yongguk let out a chuckle as he stood, rubbing his cheek hissing at the pain slightly. Jiyong may have been smaller and thinner but he sure could pack a punch if he wanted to.

 

“I am so sorry. I didn't think Jiyong would react like that” Zelo apologised, his face bright red from embarrassment. Yongguk simply let out a chuckle and shook his head.

 

“I would probably act the same way if it was my baby brother. So it's all good” Yongguk smiled, and Zelo let out a shaky laugh as he thanked all the gods he could think of for the fact that Yongguk wasn't mad at him.

 

“Anyway, that was fun! We should continue as usual.”

 

They continued for roughly two hours playing and laughing, only stopping when things were to funny that it caused someone physical pain; I.E. when Himchan was dared to sing and dance to The Hip Song but he had to sing as off key as he could, causing Jongup to vomit in the bathroom from sheer laughter at his boyfriends performance.

 

It had reached around 7 o'clock when the game was interrupted by Zelos phone ringing.

 

“Hello?” Zelo answered, breathing heavy from the last onslaught of laughter that racked his body.

 

“Zelo, can you cover for me tonight? I know it's short notice and you might not be able to make it...” JR pleaded, his voice taking on a pleading tone. Zelo sighed.

 

“I'm not sure... It's a school night and there is no one to watch Umma or Boa.” Zelo trailed off, noticing now that he had everyone’s attention in the room as they waited on him.

 

“Seriously Zelo if it's to much just say. I totally understand. But can I ask you a favour then?” JR asked, and Zelo could hear his pleading tone and could tell the boy would have his hands clasped in desperation despite the fact that Zelo couldn't see him.

 

“Yeah?”

 

“It's just...” There was a shaky breath over the phone making Zelo exhale as well. “It's Jason... He's here. What do I do...” Zelos heart broke for his Hyung as he could tell the man was crying and he had every right to.

 

“Hyung are you okay? Do you want me to come get you?” Zelo stood now, searching for his shoes, ignoring the questioning looks that were sent his way.

 

“No, of course not Zelo. Just... Do me a favour and let Rain know that I might not be able to make it to work for a while” There was a bitter laugh on the other end “For obvious reasons”

 

“Hyung, I don't see why you don't just break up with him... What he does to you isn't nice Hyung.” Zelo pouted trying to get his message across.

 

“I love him Zelo. Anyway, I'm gonna go phone G.O and see if he'll cover for me. Bye Zelo” The phone went dead before Zelo himself could say goodbye.

 

“Zelo everything ok?” Youngjae asked, tilting his head to the side. Zelo let out a shaky laugh before nodding his head.

 

“Just a friend being a complete idiot. Anyway, you guys should leave now I have to pick up Boa” Zelo mumbled slipping on his shoes. He was glad that no one questioned his abrupt change of heart and they all made their way home. Youngjae and Daehyun running down the road together as they chatted loudly about whatever came to mind. Jongup and Himchan also made their way home, Himchan announcing that he was staying at Jongups that night so they made their way to Jongups house.

 

It was only Yongguk that stood with Zelo outside, awkwardly fixing his jacket.

 

“Can I walk you to get Boa? I wouldn't feel right if I let a 17 year old kid go out at such a dark time by himself” Yongguk asked. Zelo blushed slightly, reminding himself that Yongguk would most probably walk any 17 year old home if need be and that he wasn't special”

 

“Yeah okay, I guess” Zelo answered as they made their way to Jinyoung's house.

 

“Zelo, I have to ask” Yongguk spoke aloud, ending the silence that Zelo had been enjoying for the last 10 minutes. Zelo let out a hum to show he was listening to his elder. “Was I your first kiss?” The question took Zelo by surprise, so he ended up choking on air causing Yongguk to pat his back.

 

“Uh... Yeah you were” Zelo managed after awhile, a pink flush tinting his cheeks. Yongguk smiled.

 

“I guessed as such, you moved your lips too quick, but apart from that it was quite enjoyable” To have such a handsome guy complimenting a beginner like himself had his heart fluttering in quite an uncomfortable way.

 

“Oh.. Thank you?” Zelo blushed even deeper, getting rather embarrassed about the whole ordeal. Thankfully they had reached Jinyoung's house before the conversation could get any more awkward.

 

Knocking on the door, it didn't take long for Boa to answer the door and jump into Zelos arms as Jinyoungs Umma answered the door.

 

“Hello Zelo. Who's your friend?” he asked, smiling happily at Yongguk and Zelo. Zelo turned to Yongguk the back to CNU.

 

“CNU, this is Yongguk Hyung, he just moved here.” Zelo introduced. “Yongguk this is CNU.” The two smiled and exchanged greetings.

 

“Anyway, CNU it was nice seeing you again but we have to get home. Did she have dinner here or?” Zelo let the question hang and CNU lifted his hand shaking his head.

 

“She already had dinner, so apologies if you had something prepared for her”

 

“No, it's fine Hyung. I was just wondering myself.”

 

“Okay then, I'll see you boys later and Boa can come over and play any time she wants” CNU smiled and waved to the boys as they walked away before shutting the door.

 

“Anyway, I need to leave but it was nice getting to know you Zelo-ah and I would love to hang out again.” Yongguk smiled as they reached the corner of Jinyoungs street. Zelo nodded, hoping that they could do everything all over again, as on retrospect he hadn't made a very good impression of having his brother punching him in the face.

 

“Yeah, same. I'd love to.” Yongguk gave the boy a quick hug before handing him a piece of paper and jogging off. Zelo slipped the paper into his pocket deciding to read it once he got home.

 

Once he made it there he couldn't keep the grin off his face as he reread the note for the thousandth time that night.

I finallyyyy updated! thanks to boa as i am updating this in her house. anyway, im not really happy with this chapter as it just turned into a giant puke fest of english literature so yeah.

ALSO IM SO SORRY FOR MAKING JASON EVIL I LOVE JASON AND NU'EST SO APOLIGIES THERE. I SWEAR HE WILL IMPROVE.
