♦Narrator♦

It's been two weeks since Jay and SooMi have begun their "starting over" phase.

*ring ring*

Jay reached for his phone in his pocket and checked the caller ID before picking up.

"Yeobosaeyo?" he asked.

"JaeJae ~" answered the other line. Jay smiled at the image of SooMi using aegyo.

"Ne?" he answered while slightly chuckling.

"Let's go visit Woo-ah!" SooMi exclaimed out of excitement. Jay pulled the phone away from his ear before he damaged them. 

"Wooyoung?? Waeeee?" he whined. SooMi clicked her tongue.

"Psh, because he's our friend and we haven't visited him since he woke up!" she explained. Little did she know that Jay had visited Wooyoung two weeks ago, right before he said his final goodbye with JangSoon.

"Arra, arra" Jay gave in, not being able to resist his love.

"Yay! Gomawo!"

Jay laughed at how cute SooMi was. He couldn't wait until they were back together again.

"Well visiting hours don't start for a while, so how about we go out to eat before heading to the hospital?" SooMi suggested.

"Mwoya?" Jay asked.

"Come on, think of it as our first outing as friends." SooMi said.

Friends

That was a word that always hit him whenever he heard it come from . Everytime he heard it he started to question whether he could really stand being just friends with SooMi. But after he asked himself whether he could do it or not, his confidence took over and soon his determination to make SooMi his again increased. Therefore, he was willing to take things with SooMi slow again, just for her.

"Arrasso, I'll come pick you up in a little bit. Is that ok?" Jay asked.

"Ne, but where do you want to eat?" SooMi questioned.

Jay thought for a little bit. Suddenly, a grin creeped onto his face.

"I know the perfect place" Jay told her and after that they both hung up.

Jay rushed to his room and began rummaging through his closet looking for the perfect clothes. Although SooMi had considered it a "friendly outing", Jay couldn't help but think of it as their first date, all over again.

What should I wear? he thought to himself.

Meanwhile on SooMi's part, she also happened to be looking for the perfect dress for she too, unknowingly, was treating this as a first date. She had only planned to visit Wooyoung with him, but considering the fact that they had not gone out together yet, she decided to ask him to lunch.

♦Jay♦

*ding dong*

I rang her doorbell as I heard her voice yell out, "I'm coming!"

I laughed as I could hear her footsteps rushing to the door. I was looking down, but as soon as that door opened my head lifted up as we locked eyes. Before I got lost in them, I decided to take a look at her outfit. She was stunning, gorgeous, beyond beautiful, any word you could come up with for someone as lovely as her. In my eyes she stands out above all the other women in the world.

"You look beautiful, SooMi" I smiled sincerely as I spoke the truth. She was dressed simply, but it never failed to capture my eyes.

"Thank you" she smiled shyly as she blushed. Cute.

"Kaja" I said as I held out my arm for her to hold onto. At first she raised a brow and hesitated. "What? Best friends can't lock arms?" I chuckled. She laughed as she slid her arm around mine as I led her to my car.

♦SooMi♦

Even though we were locking arms, I felt nothing wrong with it. It felt...so right. As we approached his car, he ran ahead and opened the door as he waited for me to get inside. I laughed at his kind gestures.

"Why thank you, sir" I curtsied before climbing into the vehicle.

"You are very welcome, ma'am" he bowed before settling into the driver's seat.

I missed this.

I missed how silly we used to be and I'm glad it's coming back without any awkard feelings whatsoever.

"So where are we going?" I asked as he started the engine.

"It's a surpriseee ~" he chimed. I smiled at his childish tone.

As we drove to the unknown destination, I couldn't help but stare at him. His clothes were perfect for a day like this. His outifit was so simple and I couldn't find any other word for it but cute. Now I feel like I may have overdressed. But that doesn't matter right now, because all I can think about at the moment...is him. 

I continued thinking about how adorable he looked that I didn't notice the soft laughter escaping from my mouth.

"Mwoya? SooMi-yah, am I that handsome that you have to keep staring? Yahhh, what are you laughing at?" he pouted.

"Aigooooo, are you using aegyo?" I asked as I pinched his cheeks.

"Nothing wrong with that!" he argued.

"Arra, arra" I smiled as I looked out the window. 

It was silent for a few minutes until...

"So why were you staring at me?" he suddenly asked.

"Mwoya? Jaebeom I thought we moved on from that" I laughed

"So I have a late reaction, no big deal." he shrugged. I was hesitant to tell him that I was thinking of him, scared that it might bring up an atmosphere of something that's more than just friends. Even so, I decided to be truthful with him.

"I was thinking about you." 

He didn't respond.

"I was thinking about how cute you look in your clothes. How perfect they were for a day like today. Thinking maybe I overdressed to impress. Thinking about what you might be thinking of me..."

"SooMi."

"Ne?"

"You look beautiful. I told you that already." he said as he took a quick glance at me before returning his eyes to the road. "You didn't overdress, you dressed so simple but yet you always continue to amaze me. There's no need for you to worry about anything so just relax. Now you know that I was thinking about you too and now you know what I thought of you." he finished as he smiled. 

I blushed at his words.

Suddenly JaeJae started pulling into somewhere and he parked. I looked out the window at where we were.

"McDonald's?" I asked, very confused. I looked over at Jaebeom who was smiling.

"Yup."

"Really?" I asked kind of worried. This is where we're going to eat on our first date friendly outing? "Now I'm really overdressed, especially for McDonald's" I said looking at my clothing

"Not just any McDonald's" he said looking at the place as we both climbed out of the car. 

"Oh? What makes this McDonald's so special?" I smirked as I crossed my arms. He held front door open for me as we both stepped into the place, taking in the smell of greasy fast food.

He didn't tell me anything but to sit in a specific seat. He lead me to that specific seat and I sat down waiting for him to say something. I watched as he walked away from me and outside the door. But almost as soon as he walked out, he walked back in, looked around, noticed me (or something in my direction) and started heading towards me.

I was so confused by his actions but while I watched him walk towards me, I couldn't help but think that the scene was too familiar.

Suddenly it hit me.

I realized why we were here. Why it's not just any McDonald's. Why he said on the phone that this was the perfect place. Why this was the place we were eating on our first date outing. Why it seemed so familiar. Why he acted so weird just now.

How could I not have realized it when I was the one who said we need to start over? I was the one who said we need to start over from when we were just friends.

He approached and stopped right in front of me. I looked up at him in surprise as he was silent the entire time.

"This is where we first met."

It's been too long. I know you all hate me. But I've really been to busy and too lazy. The last time I updated was the week I was having a reunion with old childhood friends. After that, I went home to the Philippines for a month and I couldn't really update there. Then when we came back I was two to three weeks late coming into school so I had to catch up on everything and yeahhhh. But I finally decided that it's time to update so I stayed up a little later tonight just for you guys! Pleeeease forgive me for I am truly sorry!
