Krystal POV

I woke up, rubbing my eyes and sitting up. I looked around to see if Kai was home and fortunately, he was, since his house slippers were gone. I glanced at the

staircase and sighed, remembering what Changmin and Victoria had said the other day. I mean, sometimes I myself think that Kai likes me but then he says

something that makes me think otherwise. Can't he ju-

*Ring*

I picked up my phone and answered. It turned out to be Sulli who was calling to remind me that we had an hour before our shift at The Cafe starts. My eyes widened.

I had been so busy thinking about Kai that I had completely forgotten about my part time job. I ran up the stairs and almost barged into the room to get my clothes.

However, it crossed my mind that Kai could still be asleep, so I tiptoed into the room, grabbed a pair of denim shorts and a navy blue shirt as quietly as I could,

then tiptoed back downstairs to take a shower. After rapidly showering and drying my hair, I went to the kitchen to cook some soup for Kai.

"Dear Kai oppa,

I need to go for my part time job, I will be back soon.

Hope you didn't drink too much yesterday, but in case

you did, I made you some soup. Eat well oppa~

I left him a short note, you know in case he goes into one of those weird rages and says that my parents will worry if they don't know where I went. I looked at my watch

and gasped. I only had 20 minutes left. I can't be late on the first day. I ran out and flagged a taxi, thankfully it was easy to get one, if not I will die. Literally.

I got there pretty quickly, considering that it was fairly near, just that I wanted to play on the safe side so I won't be late.

"Oh, are you Krystal Jung?" A man, whom I recognise to be the manager of the shop, asked.

''Yes I am. Am I late?'' I bit my lip.

''No , in fact you still have 10 minutes to spare. The friend you came here with reached a few minutes before you. You may head to the kitchen to learn a few basics

from one of our workers." He smiled at me. I nodded.

I walked cautiously to ktichen where I heard a deep male voice.

"So this is how you work the coffee machine. ''

I stepped in and got a shock.

"Chanyeol shi?"

"Oh Hi Krystal!"

" I didn't know you work here."

"Yeah...actually another one of Kai's friends is working here too. As for now, including you and Sulli-" He gestured to Sulli who was standing beside him.

"-there are only 4 workers. Oh and there are 2 cooks to make the food. We either take orders, make the drinks and wait tables. Simple right?" He gave me a toothy

grin.

"Krystal ah! Come over here, Chanyeol oppa is going to teach us how to make the coffee and other drinks." Sulli beckoned.

"Okay." I answered and went to her side.

 

 

"UGHH! Why is this thing so hard to make???"

 

 

 

 

 

After failing to make any kind of beverages, I huffed in frustration. And when I say any kind of beverages, I mean ANY. Be it bubble tea, coffee, blended juice drink...

I failed. At all of them. Sulli had already successfully made all of it and she was just chuckling along with Chanyeol.

"What's so funny?" I whined.

"Nothing Krystal, you just look so cute. Don't worry, Sehun, the other worker also took a long time to learn. Speaking of which, where is Sehun?" Chanyeol said.

*Ding*

The shop's bell rang, signalling that someone had entered.

"Yo wassup Sehun? Why are you so late?" Chanyeol greeted.

"I had to wait for the hyungs, they wanted to come here so they told me to wait for them. Oh and hi Krystal and Sulli." He waved brightly at us. He really doesn't

act as cold as he looks. Unlike Kai.

Seconds after Sehun had spoken , a rowdy group of boys entered. Yikes. Is Kai here? If he is, then that's not good. Don't get me wrong, I love having him around,

but he DOESN'T. He might think that I purposely chose to work here because two of his friends are working here.

I was still in the kitchen. I hurriedly went in after greeting Sehun because I was scared that Kai would see me.

"Krystal ah, since you still don't know how to make the beverages, why don't you go take their order first? I will teach you again later." (A/N Sorry, the drink makers(?)

aren't in the kitchen, they are on behind the counters. You know, like in coffee bean. Krystal just hid in the kitchen.)

I had no choice but to follow what Chanyeol had suggested since, taking orders was probably the only thing I could do at that moment.

I was about to walk out of the kitchen but Sehun stopped me.

"Krystal ah, wear the uniform first." He handed me their uniform. It was adorable.

"Okay" I went to the changing room behind the kitchen where I changed into the waitress outfit. It looked nice on me, but it was a little short. I shrugged. No one will

care anyway.

"I'm ready!" I said to Sehun and he smiled at me while handing me a notebook and pen.

"Good luck." I knew that he was not pertaining to the fact that it was my first time, but the fact that Kai was out there and he probably would get mad.

I smiled back and stepped out of the kitchen. My heart was pounding against my chest as I walked to Kai's table.

 

"Hi. May I take your order?" I could hear my voice shake as they all stared at me. Confusion on their faces were replaced by a welcoming smile as they recognised me.

That is, everyone except one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

"You've got to be kidding me."

I gulped. Because I definitely wasn't kidding and Kai looked like he was about to murder me.

Kai POV

I woke up with a massive headache. I really shouldn't have drunk so much alcohol yesterday. But hey, Krystal was annoying me, I had to drink to get her out of my

mind. I went downstairs and realised that Krystal wasn't on the couch. I then saw the food on the table and the note. Tch. She doesn't have to tell me what she is

doing, I couldn't care less. ( But we all now what happened when she went out with jessica. Keke.) I ate her soup because I was hungry and my head hurt.

All of a sudden,  my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Yah, Kai hurry up we're going with Sehun to The Cafe to have breakfast." Suho told me.

Before I could protest, he already hung up. I got dressed just in time before they knocked on the door and dragged me out. Honestly though, I liked going there

because they sell really good pastries, even meals, and drinks. So basically I was excited. When we got there, we just sat at out usual table and waited for either

Chanyeol or Sehun to come over. I never knew why they would prefer to go to tables and take orders instead of the customers going to the counter and ordering.

Still, it means we don't have to stand up. We waited quite a long time but the rest didn't really mind. I looked around and realised that there was a new girl on the counter.

She looked really familiar, I've seen her hanging around Krystal a few times. Wait. She's Krystal's friend, that couldn't possibly mean that Krystal is also worki-

"Hi. May I take your order?"

 

"You've got to be kidding me." I blurted out as I sent murderous glares to Krystal. I glanced at the hyungs to see if they were feeling the same way but no. They were

SMILING at Krystal. Why can't they see that she's annoying? They happily gave their order, which was a lot. I think Kris even ordered 3 different kinds of food.

And he's the weakest eater of all. Imagine how much the rest ordered. Since I had already eaten the soup at home, I only ordered a croissant and coffee.

"I will be back with your orders. Please wait patiently." Krystal bowed to us. The rest smiled sweetly at her while I just rolled my eyes. I couldn't help but notice

how short Krystal's unifrom was though. It was way way above her knees. This girl clearly liked to flirt. First, when we went to the grocery store, she wore shorts

so short that it could be mistaken as an underwear. Now, she wears a dress that could be called a shirt. Like what the hell? No I am not jealous that other guys would

stare at her, I'm worried that hyungs will fall for her, a witch.

"Ey Kai, you have such a polite wifey. I'm jealous." Xiumin commented while the others started saying how good Krystal was, how polite she was. Blah Blah. Those

guys are blind. I mean would they like it when they used to be y, Free and Single but now they are only y because a girl apprently had to take their freedom?

They don't get why I hate Krystal so much.

Suddenly, Krystal went over to us balancing half of our orders in her hands. She put them down while biting her lips in concentration. Oh damn. That's y.  I hate

it when girls do that purposely so that their lips bleed and the guy takes care of her. No way. I am not going to do that.

"Wait for a while please. I will get the rest of your food." She walked back to the counter and tried to carry the rest of the food. Then Sehun saw it and immediately

helped her. See what I mean? She is making everyone like her. I hate her so much! The two waiters, okay, waiter and waitress then brought the rest of our

orders.

"Enjoy your meal." She said politely.

"Ya , you don't need to be so formal with them Krystal. Right hyungs?" To prove his point, he put his arm around Krystal. Her eyes widened but she smiled back.

My eyes widended too. It's supposed to be Krystal I'm glaring at, but I keep glaring at Sehun instead. It seemed like everyone was shocked too. They all looked at

me, trying to gauge my reaction. Seeing that I looked like I was going to strangle Sehun, Suho made a gesture, signalling them to leave.

"Thanks for the food by the way!" Xiumin shouted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"It's like this, you put this then you press this button."

"Ohhh."

 

 

 

 

 

 

"KYAAAA!! I FINALLY KNOW HOW TO DO IT! I know how to make all of them already!"

 

Oh my gosh. Can she shut up? During the time we spent there, all I could see was Chanyeol teaching Krystal how to make the drinks. And that's not all, he was

standing so close to her, like his chest was touching her shoulders. If I could, I would literally walk up to them and pull them apart.

I looked away, trying to cool down. I don't even understand why I am angry. I don't like her. She can do whatever she wants.

I looked up again, this time ,Krystal was alone, the rest were cleaning and serving tables. She was chopping bananas to make juice. I felt relieved. At least she's not

arounf boys.Wait what? Maybe I'm still drunk, that's why I'm acting like this.

"OWIE!" I heard a squeal. Scratch that, we all heard a squeal. It was so loud and full of pain.

I realised that while Krystal was cutting the banana, she had cut herself. I could see the blood on the chopping board. On an impulse, I stood up and walked

briskly to her side, grabbed her hands and examined the cut.

"Aish. You should be more careful. See? Now you cut yourself." I frowned at her while washing away the blood.

"Oooooo...Love is in the air~" The stupid hyungs teased.

I glanced at Krystal and she was blushing. I wrapped her finger with a band aid and went back to my seat.

I ignored the looks my hyungs were giving me and acted like nothing happened.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

*Stupid Kai! You don't care for her. Stop it. *

 

 

 

 

 

Why did I feel so worried when I heard her say owie? It can't be that...that...Eyy. No way. I, Kai, will forever be a ladies man and Krystal means nothing to me.
