Hyerim, 16 years old, currently living alone in this not-so-shabby dorm-like apartment and my room.. well, pretty ordinary for a teenage girl. Well, even I say 'dorm-like', but I actually don't have any roomates. And that's good since I don't want any.
Ever so random-but-not-so-randomly, my phone rang. A picture of my dog, Drake, a corgi, popped out of my iPhone, meh, it's my mom. "Hey, mom?" I asnwered.
"Are you doing well?" She asked. "It's already been 3 weeks and a day."
"I'm doing fine, mom. I'm not a gradeschooler anymore. I can handle myself perfectly in this strange world."
"Are you eating properly?" She asked.
"So-so." I replied, looking at my table full of cup noddle well... cups.
"Are you washing your clothes regularly?"
I looked at my now-full laundry basket. "I guess."
"How about your grades in school?"
Now, looking at my test papers on the floor, red marks everywhere. "It's fine."
"Call me if you're having problems, alright?" She said.
"Yeah, okay." I replied. "Not that anything well happen, though."
"Okay then, I'll call you tomorrow, sweetie." My mom said.
Argh. Can't she just let go of me for one moment? "Okay." I replied.
"Love you sweetie."
"Yeah, okay."
She then hung up. FINALLY.
Just as I was about to flop on my bed, a knock was heard. No, not knocks, they're fricking bangs. Continuous fricking bang
