Year 2004

I don't know what's happening at the moment. My brothers are taking their big bags out, mommy's crying and daddy's carrying really big boxes, maybe they're really really big cake, huh? Because daddy always buy cakes. I love cakes and Kai eats them with me. Sometimes, we even bake those tiny, tiny cakes with strawberries on top.

Being on my own cake dreamland, mommy patted my shoulder. "Hyerim..." She sighed.

"Yes, mommy?" I asked. Teardrops suddenly fell from her eyes. They look like diamons don't they? But then, questions suddenly flooded my head. "Why is mommy crying? Why is daddy carrying big cakes? Why are Baek and Kai getting their bags?"

"Th..they're going away, Hyerim." Mommy said, wiping her diamond tears. "So say goodbye to them now."

"Goodbye?" I asked her. At my age, goodbyes mean not being able to play with each other anymore. "Y..you're going to leave me?" I, the 6 year old Hyerim, sobbed while clenching on my brother's shirt. "Why are you leaving me?!"

"Don't worry Hyerim, we'll come back." My 14 year old brother, Baekhyun told me while kissing my forehead ever so softly.

"T..that means we won't have cake anymore? We won't read fairytales anymore?" I cried. "We won't watch cartoons anymore?"

My 8 year old brother Kai, gave me a really tight hug. "Don't cry okay?" he said, wiping my tears.
