Chapter Seventeen
Method to My Madness
Narrator’s POV
Yunho is sitting in his apartment his eyes fixated at the bonsai frowning every now and then, the past morning replying in his mind.
*Flashback*
“I never intended to give her away or lend it to anyone but I’m old and I won’t be here much longer. I want someone to take care of her. I think you are the kind of person that can do that.”
Confused, Yunho took the plant and look at it intently. Thinking why the old man is talking about the bonsai as if it is a real person. “Are you sure you are talking about this bonsai harabeoji?”
He nodded.
Yunho felt there is a deeper meaning behind his words. A quick thought jerked into his mind. He does not want to jump into conclusions but Yunho is afraid that harabeoji might know about his hidden feelings.
“I’m inlove with Hyun ae” he muttered under his breath.
*End of Flashback*
Suddenly three guys sat beside him startling his reverie.
“What are you doing here?” Yunho stood up as he placed the plant on one of the far side tables, far away from his friends with raging hormones pushing each other to get the best seat.
“Hyung, we’re bored.” The youngest whined at him as he rested his elbows on the table cupping his face with his hands.
“And I can entertain you?” Yunho sarcastically replied laughing at his dongsengs. “Yah, go date your little girlfriends.”
Yoochun and Junsu gasped and signaled Yunho to keep silent. Changmin looked at Yunho fiercely as he stood up. “Not amusing at all” He walked straight to the fridge and busied himself muttering gibberish.
“Hyung,” Junsu whispered. “You shouldn’t have said that.”
“Wae?” the eldest one asked beyond confused.
Yoochun waved his hand dismissing the topic. “Let’s not talk about it today since I know he can still hear us.”
“Loud and clear.” The maknae shouted not far from them.
Yoochun shrugged his shoulders, “Let’s just say he’s got some issues.”
The three of them distanced themselves from Changmin as the other two pulled Yunho to sit with them in the living room. Yoochun sighed and his face became serious. “Hyung,” he started.
Yunho expectantly waited for his words as the younger one sighed again in deep agony. “Can you help me?”
Junsu crossed his arms as he sat back on the sofa looking bored. Yunho noticed the indifference as Yoochun continued. “There’s this girl that I really like.”
Yunho scoffed and shook his head. “Yah, Yoochunah. You always like girls.”
“Wait hyung.” He tried to stop him as he heavily breathed again. “At first, I am not sure if I like her or if she’s just like a younger sister to me.”
Yunho turned his head to him wide-eyed.
Yoochun continues, “She’s a bit rough when I first met her but when I got to know her, my heart won’t stop aching, longing to be with her every second of the day.”
Junsu stood up. “I can’t do this.” And he walked away.
Yunho was frozen in his seat as Yoochun faced him and grabbed his shoulders, “Hyung, help me. I think I’m inlove with her. I keep on following her everyday. I’m afraid I have become a stalker. I do not want to lose her but when she finds out that I am her stalker she might never forgive me. I want to be beside her always and protect her. “
“Yoochunaah!” Yunho back off from his grasp his heart pounding in his chest. ‘What is Yoochun saying? Is he talking about me?’
“Hyung,” the other guy covered his face with his palms as he frustratingly carried on, “I know you are the last person to be a stalker. In this kind of situation, what will I do? Ottoke?” he said still covering his face.
Yunho was dazed as he repeated Yoochun’s words, “The.. last.. person.. to be a… stalker?”
He nodded as he turned his face away from him so Yunho can only see his back as it moved up and down like he is crying. “Wae?” Yunho couldn’t move to c
