Yuri’s POV

Jessica and I almost made out but she fell asleep just when the show was about to start. Good thing that I was sane enough not to continue when I felt her not returning my kisses anymore. It was damn frustrating of course since we’re on the process already but I realized that nothing was going on right. She might just be too drunk earlier when she kissed me back.

I lovingly watched my princess who was sleeping like Sleeping Beauty on Amber’s bed, hugging Amber’s pillows tightly, maybe dreaming about Amber too. Though we almost ended up doing it, it didn’t change the fact that Jessica’s heart belongs to Amber already.

Princess, why can’t you just look at me? I can’t stand seeing you in pain. :’(

I sighed as I went back to the dining table to drink more. Just like what I read online: Not to get technical, but according to chemistry, alcohol is a solution. And I just wanted to believe that alcohol was the solution to my grieving heart. I was pouring myself some soju when Jessica’s phone beeped, receiving a message from someone. I blinked for so many times when I saw her wallpaper. It was a happy image of my princess and another girl.

Krystal? I thought I was hallucinating and wiped my eyes again only to see the same face of Amber’s girlfriend happily smiling with Jessica. Jessica Jung. Krystal... Jung?

The thought of Jessica and Krystal’s relationship made me uneasy. They might be sisters, no, they’re definitely sisters! That may be the reason why Krystal has the same ice cold glare that my Jessica has. I couldn’t help but pour more soju for myself to flush the thoughts outside my mind. Ottoke? They can’t be sisters! Even if they are, they can’t be rivals! Sh*t. Ambro, what shall we do?

I picked my phone and dialled Amber’s number. Geez. Amber, what’s taking you so long to pick up?!

“Y-Yoboseyo.” It clearly wasn’t Amber’s voice but Krystal’s instead.

“Krys—

“Aaaah! Ambeeeeer! Gaaaawd,” I heard from the other line. What the ?! Why do they have to make out at a time like this?! Aish. >.< But then again, I didn’t want to ruin their moment so I ended up making a stupid excuse why I called. Maybe it’s not the right time to tell Amber yet.

“You guys do it on the bed,” I just told Amber when she picked up then hang up.

I looked back lovingly at my sleeping princess. Her faced looked so calm after crying buckets a while ago. You better rest now, Jessica-shi. You’ll probably cry more tears tomorrow.

Minho’s POV

It’s already dawn but there I was wide awake, sitting alone on the couch, sipping some beer to loosen up. And it was almost four in the morning but Amber and Krystal haven’t arrived yet. The thought of them, happily spending some time together outside as couples, made my heart twinge. Krystal, you won’t be happy with that bastard.

She might be happy with my bestfriend right now but Amber couldn’t give her lifelong happiness. And knowing Amber for so long, I’m sure that she was pretty aware of that too. But why don’t you just give her up now, Amber?! I know you won’t stand up for Krystal until the end! You stupid Amber Liu with lots of insecurities, tell me, how can you make my Krystal Jung happy?!

I couldn’t just sit here and do nothing to make Krystal change her mind. And I ended up doing the last option I had, no matter how much guilt it would cause me.

I’m sorry, Ambro. Just go back to Ji Won or find another girl to love.

“Choi Minho! No!” It was Vic Noona’s voice coming from behind. She grabbed my mobile phone from my hand and took a look at it but it was too late.

Noona’s wide eyes became wider when she saw my phone. She looked at me with her meaningful eyes, maybe begging for my explanation why I did that. But I was surprised when she burst into tears in front of me; her eyes were telling me how disappointed she was.

“N-Noona.” I didn’t know what to say; I was certain that she caught what I did. “I-I got no choice, Noona. A-Amber b-betrayed me,” I reasoned out. Please side with me just this once, Noona. -.-

Vic Noona just cried on her palms as I tried to calm her down. I knew she cares about Amber and me a lot and she didn’t want our friendship to end like this but I still didn’t understand why she had to cry to the point that I got weak because of her tears.

“Minho-yah, why did you do that?” Vic asked me as she wiped away her teary eyes.

“N-Noona, A-Amber snatched—

“Do you know who this girl is?” Vic showed me the picture once again. It was the picture of Amber sleeping with her beautiful thesis boss that Kwon Yuri sent me before.

“Th-that’s Amber’s boss—

“For heaven’s sake, Choi Minho. Please make this right. You have no idea what you have just caused right now.”  Vic let out a deep sigh and held my hand.

“I know very well, Noona! Amber and Krystal might break up because of this. I don’t regret a single thing because that’s what I want to happen anyway,” I explained.

“That girl in the picture, she’s Krystal’s older sister.”

Amber’s POV

*ring*

*ring*

“Damn it.” My hand searched my phone tucked under the pillow. “Yoboseyo,” I answered without looking at who the caller was.

“Liu Yi Yun! I heard you checked in with a girl at the Busan branch!” I was surprised by Jackie’s voice from the other line that I got up immediately.

“How the hell did you know?” Uh. What a lame question, Amber. Of course she would know. “Whatever, Jackie. I’ll pay for this room too.”

“You don’t have to pay for your family’s hotel, you idiot! I told the staffs not to receive even a single cent from you,” my sister replied from the other line. “Did you have with someone in there? Geez, Amber. A staff heard whimpers coming from your room.”

What Jackie-noona told made me realize that I was still under the sheets. A wide smile curved automatically on my lips at the thought of the wonderful night I shared with my beloved girlfriend. Krystal was loud last night but her moans were like melody to my ears. Speaking of Krystal, where is she? I got up from bed and searched for Krystal everywhere in the room. But she’s gone.

“Got to hang up, Noona. I’ll call you later.”

My heart started to race when Krystal was not there. Did she left already? Why did she leave without me? Aish. >.<  I couldn’t help but feel uneasy so I dialled her number but the operator said that her phone was turn off. Krystal, where are you? -.-

A glistening thing on the side table caught my eye; it was the symbol of my love for Krystal, the necklace that I gave her when I asked her to be my girlfriend. Aigoo. My girlfriend forgot to put it on. Tsk tsk. But I was dumbfounded when I saw the note beside it.

Let’s break up. –Krystal

I felt my knees weakened upon reading it. I even reread it more for several times only to find the same three words that shot my heart dead. Let’s break up? Krystal, why? T.T

Tears. My eyes were drowning with tears as the cold water from the showered poured down my trembling body. My chest was stiffening as I think about Krystal’s note, the murder weapon used to kill my heart. How can you do this, Krystal? We were so happy last night. How can you break up with me easily? T.T But I decided that I would find out the reason why no matter how heartbreaking it is. With the star necklace on my hand, I drove off the car park of Eastbrook Hotel and travelled the way to Haeundae Towers as the heavy rain started to pour down.

*ring* It was Vic noona.

“N-Noona. K-Krystal and I—Ottoke, Noona?” My emotions burst out as well as my tears. Vic noona was the only person that I could lean on right now.

“I know, Amber. Krystal left for Seoul already. Follow her, please,” Vic replied in a worried tone.

I turned the car around upon hearing what she said and found my way on the road back to Seoul.

“Noona, h-how is she? K-Krystal broke up with me. I-I didn’t know why, N-Noona,” I told her between my hiccups as tears kept streaming down my face.

“Amber, listen. Your boss is Jessica, right?” Vic asked from the other line. She knows Jessica-shi too?

“H-how did you—

“Jessica is Krystal’s older sister!”

Vic’s revelation was shocking but I couldn’t understand why she brought this up. Wouldn’t it be great if Jessie-noona is really Krystal’s sister?

“Amber, the picture on Minho’s phone, Krystal saw it!”

My head started to hurt like crazy as I tried to digest everything that Vic noona said. Maybe Krystal misunderstood what she saw on the picture. Yes, Jessica and I were sleeping in each other’s arms but God knows that nothing happened between us. It’s not what you think, Krys. T.T

I wiped my tears away that blurred my vision that I almost lost the grip on the steering wheel. There was a car coming towards my direction but I managed to avoid it after a sudden turn.

“Damn it!” I cursed when the necklace slipped off my hand and fell down on my feet.

“Amber, are you okay?” I heard Vic asked.

My right hand crawled down to pick the necklace as I continued driving with my left.
