Kevin POV:

I got to school extra early today so I could find a place to leave my confession letter. I didn’t even know what species Eli was so I couldn’t just waltz my way to his class.  Man this is harder than I thought it would be.  As I was deep in thought I heard footsteps. I looked up and low in behold it was him. Eli Kim. In the flesh and heading toward the school swimming pool.  I decided to “not” be creepy and followed him.  I followed him all the way to his locker.  He was putting his swimming gear away and looking y at the same time. I smiled clutching my letter.  Soon Eli was done and left his locker.  I watched him leave and quickly made my way to his locker sticking my note inside. I felt my heart flutter as I left. The deed was done and there was no turning back now. I prayed to the Gods in heaven that everything would be okay.  I made my way out of the locker room and didn’t notice I was skipping. I reached my locker to be met with a curious Key, with hands on his hips.

“So wear have you been? We always meet up at the quad to walk to our lockers.” Key asked crossing his arms. I looked away.

“Oh I was just taking care of something….” Key raised a brow.

“Taking care of what? What could you possibly have to do so early in the morning…?” Kevin blushed.

“J-just stuff okay! Christ what are you my mother!” Key was taken aback but just let it go.

“Uhuh whatever. Come on let’s just get to class neh?” I nodded at that still not meeting Keys eyes.

“n-nehh” as I walked to class I kept wondering what Eli would think of my letter. I hope he would agree to meet me during the lunch period. What would he say? I couldn’t wait. I wanted lunch to come fast. Key could see my distress but decided to leave it alone since he already ed at me this morning. 

Classes went by slower than a snail, but eventually lunch did come.  I rushed out of my class and noticed that Key was waiting for me but I didn’t have time for him, not right now. Key saw me running and smiled.

“Hey Kev I got you some….” But I didn’t let him finish. I rushed past him and headed for the swimming pool, where my note said to meet.  I got there and started wheezing. I never ran so fast in my entire life, but this was important. I looked at the pool and it was vacant. I guess he wasn’t here yet. I paced around waiting and waiting.  I started to think that maybe he wasn’t coming until I heard footsteps. I turned around and there he was. He noticed me to and came over to me giving me a puzzled look.

“Umm can I help you?” he said to me questiongly. I mustered up my courage and began speaking.

“U-um m-my n-name is K-Kevin….and I ummm…I just um…. I” I could feel Elis gaze on me and it was making it hard to speak. He then spoke up.

“Um can you kind of hurry this along….its lunch you know…” I snapped out of my daze and nodded.

“W-well you see it’s like this…I- I love you….I really do. You’re really cool and I’ve seen you swim (duh Kevin who hasn’t…) and I just…yea that’s all I wanted to say….”  I looked down at my shoes, twiddling my thumbs and hiding my blush. I wonder what Eli would say….

Eli POV:

Shocked is an understatement to how I was taking this situation. Doesn’t he know that I already have a girlfriend? And doesn’t he also know that I’m a jock and he’s kind of a geek.  The kids got balls I will admit…interesting I thought with a smile. Maybe I’ll have a little bit of fun with him. He seems really love sick, naive and gullible.  Easy to take advantage of. I put on my most y smile, brushed my black hair out of my face and showed a few piercings.  I walked towards Kevin, pushing him up against the wall and put my hand near his head. I smirked at him and he started blushing. Kind of cute…just kind of. I trailed one finger down his face and watched him blush under my touch. Sensitive to, probably a and doesn’t know a real man or the dangers of liking someone you don’t even know. Sad really, but hey it’s his own fault. I then began speaking.

“Thank you Kevin-shii. That was sweet.” I said lying. He looked up at me and blushed giving me a shy smile.

“You’re…your welcome Eli….” I chuckled at that.

“So do you want to go steady with me?” I said in a deceivingly sweet voice. Kevin gave me a big smile and nodded repeatedly. I laughed. Okay not kind of, really really cute. I was starting to have second thoughts about tricking him, but hey the deed was done, no backing out now.

“Okay baby. Let’s get to lunch…oh and carry my stuff?” He nodded fast and picked up my stuff and followed me to the cafeteria like a little following her master. This was going to be interesting indeed.

Key POV:

To say I was annoyed with Kevin ignoring me was an understatement. He was acting funny all day and I was determined to get to the bottom of it. I decided to look for Taemin after being blown off by Kevin. I found him at his locker and joined him,

“Hey baby! Ready to have some lunch?” Taemin nodded happily.

“Yes I am!!” I gave Taemin an amused look. Okay something was definitely going on, Taemin was happier than I’ve seen him so far, and Kevin was acting like a weirdo. There will be interrogations this lunch period I vowed in my mind.

“Okay baby, just let me go get my lunch from my locker.”

“Okay umma! Let’s go!” Taemin started pulling my hand and I laughed. My laughter soon faded when I opened my locker. I stayed still, stunned at what was inside it. Taemin looked puzzled.

“Umma what wrong?” Taemin looked at what I was staring out and a big grin came on his face. For in my locker was a bouquet of lovely pink roses and a few black ones to give it a gothic feel. The rap was a light pink, and it had pink ribbons with black pearls attached.  I slowly picked it up and took a sniff. It smells heavenly and somewhat…sinful? I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I looked to see who the sender was….as if I didn’t already know. I saw a small note attached to the bouquet. “Dear Kibummie. I got you these roses because their beauty reminds me of you. I hope to eat lunch with you and your friends if that is okay. From Jonghyun. P.S these flowers will never die, like my love for you.” Taemin squealed. I looked over at him blushing.

“Y-yah, what are you doing snooping at my notes…” I said embarrassed. Taemin just snickered. I finally took out my lunch, and we started heading for the Cafeteria. I was embarrassed, but I couldn’t deny the happy feeling.  It was disgustingly mushy, but sweet of Jonghyun to do that for me. When we entered, still no sign of Kevin, but I did see a pair of familiar brown puppy eyes and hand waving at me. Gesturing me and Taemin to come and sit. I pulled Taemin along and we sat. I sat next to Jonghyun and Taemin sat on the other side to watch our every movement. Jonghyun started talking with me, complimenting me and unfortunately making me giggle with his humor. He really was handsome, romantic and funny. I told him something as well and he burst out laughing, and poked my nose causing me to giggle. I heard Taemin clear his throat breaking us out of our trance. I looked up to seeing him smiling.

“Do you guys maybe need some space? Cause I could leave ya know.” Taemin said mischievously. I glared at Taemin.

“Oh shut it. Don’t make umma come over there and teach you respect.” I said in a playful diva tone. Jonghyun and Taemin just laughed. Then Taemin suddenly asked.

“Does that make your my appa Jonghyun hyung? Since your with umma?” I blushed furiously.

“T-Taemin…we aren’t together….” I said blushing. Jonghyun smiled and leaned forward to my ear.

“….yet…” he said ghosting a kiss over my ear. I turned my head and blushed at him.

“w-what….?” I was starting to ask until I saw Jonghyun freeze. I looked at him worried.

“What’s wrong?” Jonghyun just pointed.  I turned around and couldn’t believe what I saw. There was Kevin walking behind Eli Kim carrying his books and lunch.  My jaw dropped. What is that idiot doing?! I thought. Why the hell is he carrying things for Eli Kim?  Kevin noticed me starring at him, turned and whispered something to Eli; Eli nodded giving Kevin a kiss….wait...a kiss?! On the cheek and Kevin smiled prancing over here. All of us stared at Kevin as he sat down and sighed like a love sick buffoon.

“Sooooo what was that?” I asked generally confused at what the was going on here. Kevin looked at me, then Taemin, then Jonghyun and smiled full of confidence.

“Oh nothing….just getting a little love from my BOYFRIEND!” Kevin said full of confidence. I stared at him blankly. Boyfriend? You got to be kidding me! If anything Kevin looked like Elis . I decided not to say that and just go on asking questions.

“I see and how did this come to be?” Kevin smiled.

“Oh we met at the pool and I told him how I felt, and turns out he feels the same way I do, and the rest is history.” Kevin said dreamily. Taemin looked at me concerned, and Jonghyun gave me a son of a gun look. I shook my head and spoke up.

“W-well okay, but why were you carrying his stuff?” Kevin just rolled his eyes.

“Oh Key….when you love someone you are willing to do anything to please your lover. Don’t you know that? I guess you wouldn’t…” Okay I was starting to get annoyed with him. This cocky attitude was really grabbing my goat. I just put up a fake smile.

“I see, how soon I forget. Well you’re going to have to coach us on romance from now on Kev.” I said with as much sarcasm as I could give. He noticed it and rolled his eyes.

“So Taemin, what’s with you? You were really happy today. Spill!” Kevin said, since he had enough from hearing from me. I was also tired of it, so I focused on Taemin as well.

“Yea tae-baby, you were in giggles today. What’s going on?” I asked with a smile. Taemin looked down and blushed, but spoke anyways.

“W-well….I’m going to Minho-hyungs house after school to study….” Taemin said in all smiles.  We all clapped.

“Omg good for you Tae-baby. Umma is happy for you. However tell him I have my eye on him.” I said matter of factly. Taemin giglged.

“Yes umma.” Jonghyun then piped up.

“Ah Minho that sneaky little bastard. Congrats Tae. And don’t worry Minho is a nice guy, and he’s a little air headed so nothing to worry about.” Jonghyun said and winked. I smiled and thanked him. Soon the lunch signal came and we all started packing up. As we were packing, Eli Kim came over and Kevin lit up.

“Eli!” he said enthusiastically. Eli smiled.

“Hey Kevin. It’s time to go, get my stuff will you?” Eli said giving a y smile to Kevin.

“Okay! Anything for you!” Kevin said with eyes and voice full of love and adoration. It was sickening. They walked off leaving us at a loss for words.

“Yea……well I’m outta here….I gotta meet Minho. He had some things to do that’s why he wasn’t at lunch. I’ll see you later Kibummie, and Taemin.” He said with a smile. Then he leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek, winked and left. I stood there blushing and in a daze. Taemin giggled and I gave him a glare.

“Come on young man before we are late.” I said giving him a smack on the to get going. He nodded and we started walking.  As the day started to come to an end, there were a lot of thoughts in my head. What was I going to do about Kevin? This relationship looked shifty. Some investigation is in order. But what was mostly on my mind was the shameless, annoying, y, sweet and cute dinosaur puppy hybrid. I smiled at the thought of Jonghyun….

Damn….I really am in love aren’t I…? I just let myself smile at that revelation, deciding it’s just to tiring to deny it any longer. I was in love with Kim Jonghyun and I was pretty damned please with it. I wished for happiness for the time to come, not just for me but for Taemin and Kevin as well, even if he was acting like a total jackass. He’s still my best friend. I sighed and went back to somewhat paying attention in class. My instincts told me things were going to get interesting really fast.
