Minho’s POV

After I finished hugging Dracula we sat in silence for awhile.  I wasn’t even sure what to say to the guy….I mean I just found out I’m his long lost kid, which would make me a prince, and technically the next heir to rule the vampire realm….yea that’s a bit much to take in.  Last week I was doing finals, and eating pizza while kicking Changmins at Call of Duty….now I’m a prince….I’m surprised I haven’t pass out from shock yet.  However this awkward silence was killing me and I was starting to drown in it.

“So uhh…..Dad?” I said hesitantly.  He chuckled and scratched his head.

“You don’t have to force yourself to call me that….I haven’t been around for a good portion of your life….I don’t deserve that title….I couldn’t even protect you….” He said frustration in his voice.

“H-hey it’s okay man….I mean your technically my dad and calling you your majesty after you just dropped a bomb like that seems kinda weird” I said matter of factly.

“I suppose your right….I’m just….I’m sorry Minho….I couldn’t protect you and I should have looked harder….but I also had kingdom to rule….there wasn’t much….” I cut him off and lightly hit his shoulder.

“Hey….it’s alright I don’t mind.  My parents took really good care of me….and I know you had responsibilities….it’s okay.” I said trying to assure him.

“Thank you….you really have grown into such a fine young man…I couldn’t be any more proud of you….your mother would be proud as well….” I nodded and smiled.

“Hey uh dad?” I asked still testing out the word for him.

“Yes….son” he said with a smile.

“What was Alii….I mean mom like?” Dracula smiled longingly.

“She was….she was wonderful….so kind, beautiful and good to the people.  I felt proud to just be in her presence and rule by her side even though I was the real royalty.  She was also very headstrong and daring.  She was the kind of woman, that could make anyone love her…I really do miss her….however meeting Katharine…has helped me to love again, and to believe that love can bring miracles.  I love your step mother just as much as I loved Aliina but no one could ever replace Aliina in my heart….know that.” I nodded smiling at him.  He was truly strong.  I hope that I could be like him when I get much older.

“Soooo, Taemin? Tell me about him?”

“Oh well I met him at M University.  He is really special to me…I love him a lot dad….Um your cool with me being gay right?” I said nervously.  He then laughed out loud.

“That’s the last thing I care about Minho.  I just care that you treat him right and always treasure him.” I nodded relieved.

“So have you umm….have you mated with him yet?” my dad asked me wiggling his eyebrows.

“Ah Jesus dad! Don’t ask that!” I said embarrassed.

“What?! I have a right to know! Ryeowook told me he caught you two getting pretty frisky the other day.” I did a face palm.  Ryeowook hyung was dead when I got my hands on him.

“I’m just teasing you son.  You’re just so young and there’s a lot I don’t know about you or your life till now, so forgive this old man for prying.” I then smirked.

“Old is right dad, you’re like 3 centuries old!”

“Hey! I don’t look a day over 28 I'll have you know! You definitely get that cheekiness from your mother.” He said giving me a light hit.  I laughed as well. I felt relieved.  I thought I would be afraid to get to know him, but having this talk assured me that we just had to take it all one step at a time.  We talked some more and shared some more laughs.

“So Minho I was wondering….”

“Yes dad?”

“Would you like to spend the rest of your winter break with me?” I looked at him with wide eyes.

“What?”

“I mean there’s so much to know, and I want to know you.  I also want you to meet Katharine…she is your step mother, and I’d like you to meet and get to know Joonmyun.  He’s your step brother.  I’d also like to meet your mother, father, and your brother you have lived with your whole life.  I also want to get to know Taemin, and your friends more.  I want to be a part of your life Minho and I want you to be a part of mine if you would allow me.”  I thought about it.  I would like that as well…but….

“I know what you’re thinking, and I don’t plan to make you live here with me, or take the thrown when its time.  We have time to sort all of that out, and I don’t plan to make you leave M University….I just want to know you…that’s all.” He said giving me an assuring smile.  I then cracked a smile as well.

“Alright….I'd love that….dad.” he smiled really big at that.  We then exited his study to find things had calmed down in his council room.  My friends and family were just mingling and talking with Ryeowook hyung.  When they saw me, Minnie was the first one in my arms. I laughed at his cuteness.  He acted like he hasn’t seen me in years.

“Hey baby! Miss me?” I said kissing his head. He nodded furiously.

“Yes I did! What happened Minho?” I smiled and grabbed Minnie’s hand and led him to a couch. I talked to him and told him everything.  His eyes widened at what I told him.

“Your…you mean…”

“Yea I know…crazy huh?”

“Crazy….That’s insane Minho!” Minnie said exasperated.

“So….does that mean you’re moving here…..” he said looking down. I grabbed his hands and squeezed them.

“No I’m not Minnie, and I’m not leaving school either….I’m just spending some time with my dad….that’s all.  He wants to get to know me, and frankly I’m interested as well.  I also want to get to know my step mom and my step brother Joonmyun.  But don’t worry, I'll still find time for you…okay sweetie? It’s just for the rest of break.” I said trying to assure him.  He looked in deep thought and then he nodded.

“Okay…I understand….can I maybe visit sometimes?” I nodded with a big grin.

“Of course baby! Dad wants to get to know you as well.”

“Okay! I’m so happy for you Minho….you know more about your past…”

“And it’s all thanks to you baby… if I hadn’t fallen in love with you I might not ever had known….I love you so much…thank you.” I said kissing his nose.

“Okay love birds break it up…” came Jonghyuns voice. I glared at him playfully.

“Shut up mutt and go back to your cat!” we laughed.  We then went back and joined everyone.  When I broke the news to everyone, my mom fainted and my brother just looked like son of a gun.  Jonghyun just looked like surprised along with Key and Kevin.  We did some more discussing about what was going to happen for the rest of break, and after my mother regained consciousness she finally agreed.  It was tough saying bye to Dad…we were really having fun, but I had to pack some things if I was going to stay for the rest of break.  After we got back home, my dad was really excited to see me, and he nearly flipped out when I told him all about what happened.  I was able to escape from questions from him while he looked like a fish out of water.  I escaped to my room and sighed.  I missed it so much.  I started packing my things and decided to turn in early, since I'd be leaving tomorrow.  I was super excited and I couldn’t wait to see how the rest of my break ended up.

2 Weeks Later….

Taemin POV

It was dreadedly the first day of the new semester college… However I wasn’t exactly excited.  The whole break had been kind of a wash.  I mean I was glad to be able to hang out with Key umma, Jonghyun appa, Kevin, Onew hyung and Joon hyung (who were by the way super excited to see me back).  However I saw Minho very little.  He was just so busy getting to know his dad.  I was happy for him don’t get me wrong…but I missed him so much.  He texted me every day and we skyped but it wasn’t the same. I missed his hugs and kisses.  He told me all about his adventures in the vampire realm.  He told me about his dad, his step mom and his step brother Joonmyun.  He told me how Joonmyun was a little distant to him because he thought that Minho was going to take his father away from him, but he warmed up to Minho instantly.  Apparently he was able to woo him over with his motorcycle.  I’m sure Dracula and Lady Katharine had quite a bit to say about that.  The huge dinner we all had together was quite an affair as well.  Minho was just about ready to disown Jonghyun appa as friend, for embarrassing him at the dinner table, but it was a lot of fun none the less.  Now here I am, my alarm has just gone off and I’m struggling to get out of bed.  I wasn’t looking forward to school because I didn’t know if Minho would be here the first day… I just groaned and turned around.

“Oh no no no young man.  We will not be late the first day of school. Not a chance.” I heard the diva tone of my Key umma.

“Ummaaaa….how many times do I have to tell you to stop sneaking into my room to wake me up……” I said in a whinny voice. Key umma rolled his eyes.

“If I didn’t then you would always be late.  Your mother has trouble enough with Onew hyung, now come on up and at em.  We have a lot of work to do before school today.”

“Such as…..” I said uninterested.  I then felt myself be thrown out of the bed. I yelped.

“Umma!!!” I said rubbing my rump.

“Serves you right, now come on!” Key umma hoisted me up and pushed me into the bathroom. I begrudgingly started to shower and get ready for school.  After I was dressed Key umma pulled me into a chair, wrapped a towel around my torso and started working me.  I felt my hair being cut, styled and colored.  After what seemed like forever I was done.  I looked in the mirror and was surprised.  My hair was dark brown, and was cut into a lot of layers.  I looked really good.  Key umma had died his hair a lighter brown than mine, but it looked really good on him.  After that we got breakfast from my mother and we left the house.  I was quiet the whole car ride.  I felt Key umma look at me a few times, but he kept driving.  We got to school exactly an hour early.  Key umma parked and got out of the car walking over to my side.

“Come on baby…its okay.” he said giving me an assuring smile. I gave him a small one in return and nodded.

“Okay umma….” We exited and found Jonghyun app at the front of the school.  Key smiled and ran to him giving him a kiss on the lips.  Jonghyun appa smiled at me and ruffled my hair.  We then started walking towards the gate.  It felt like forever since we have been here even though it was only 3 weeks. 

“Is Kevin coming umma?”

“Yea he said he would meet us here.” I nodded. I looked at my umma and appa holding hands and smiled.  I’d love to be holding Minho’s right now.  Just as we were about to enter I heard a very familiar sound….a sound I hadn’t heard for weeks.  The purring of a beautiful motorcycle filled my ears. I whipped around and found the owner parking it, and then lifting up his helmet.  The owner then smiled at me brightly.

“Minho….” I said under my breath.  He then opened his arms for me, and I didn’t hesitate.  I ran to him, dropping my backpack, and jumping into his arms.  He spun me around and kissed my neck.

“Minnie….” I smiled and kissed his lips like crazy.

“Minho….I’ve missed you so much….”

“Me too baby….I love your hair…” I giggled.

“Thank you! I’m so glad you’re here! I didn’t know if you were coming….” I said burying my face in his chest.

“I wouldn’t miss our first day of the semester baby….I’m sorry…things got crazy….” I shook my head.

“Its okay….I’m just so glad you’re here…” we shared a few more sweet kisses, and walked to catch up to Jonghyun appa and Key umma who were smiling.

“Hey man! Glad to see you back!” Jonghyun appa said punching Minho’s shoulder.

“Same! I actually kind of missed your dopy Dino face!”

“Shut up Kermit!” we all started laughing.  We headed into school and saw students reuniting and being loud.  It was a whole other semester.  Then i suddenly remembered.

“Umma where is Kevin?”

“I don’t know baby…he should be….” Then Key umma stopped short because there emerging from the crown was Kevin and…..Eli Kim coming to school together….hand in hand.

“Kevin!” I yelled. He saw us and smiled coming for us.

“Hey guys! I was looking for you all!”

“Us too! Ummm what’s uh going on with you two?” I said with a mischievous smile. Kevin blushed.

“Well….um it is what it looks like…..we are back together.” Kevin said with a smile, and Eli kissed his cheek totally oblivious to the death glares Key umma was giving him.

“Wow that’s gre-“

“So let me get this straight.  You think you can break his heart, and then come with him to school hand in hand, thinking you can join our group like its nothing?” Key umma asked calmly.  Eli started getting nervous.

“W-welll I….” Key umma laughed maniacly. Not good...

“Well arent you brave…Tell you what, I'll give you a 5 second head start, and 1 second has long past.” Key umma said with a devilish smile.  Eli hyung then took off faster than lighting.

“Get back here you er!!! Youll be paying your pention before I let you date Kevin again!!” Key umma shouted. Kevin panicked and ran after them.

“Key stop it!!!!” Kevin yelled.

“Kevin help me he’s going to kill me!!” I heard Eli hyung shout.  We all burst into laughter.  Things were defiantly back to normal.

“Come on Minnie…Jonghyun…lets stop them before someone gets hurt….”

“Are you kidding…if someone just gets hurt that’s a ing blessing when it comes to my feisty kitty….” We nodded in agreement and went to catch up with Key umma, Kevin and Eli hyung.  I felt Minho grab my hand, give it a squeeze, and then smile at me. I smiled back.  I smiled because to think….that I didn’t want to come to M university because I was scared and now look… I got a great boyfriend, a feisty umma, a crazy puppy appa, and Kevin.  Plus if me and Minho hadn’t fallen in love, he never would have met his real dad.  I guess some things really are meant to be, even when you least expect it.
