Reunions can be sweet, heart wrenching….or painful to the head…-_-

Minho’s POV

“Okay you both are going to have to be at the hearing between his majesty and the head of the divine council.  His majesty plans to sort this out when the sun rises.  I have already sent out a letter to the divine council about tomorrow’s meeting…..I have also informed them that you are hear young Taemin…” Ryeowook told us later that night after our meeting with Dracula.  I was cuddling with a soundly sleeping Minnie, when he came in with a serious expression.  I knew it must have been really important so I woke my love from his sleep so he could hear what Ryeowook hyung had to say.  When he told us about the hearing tomorrow, I was shocked to say the least.  I didn’t think this would be dealt with so quickly for I’m sure his majesty is a busy man….but then again it’s not often two kids are put in prison for a reason as trivial as this.  Love isn’t trivial but you know what I mean.  We listened to Ryeowook hyung closely but when he told us that the divine council knew that Minnie was here, he looked a bit nervous.

“T-they know I’m here hyung?!” Ryeowook nodded.

“Yes they do, and let me tell you the response I got back was not very pleased.  Seems we will have more than one issue to sort out…”  Taemin started to shake.

“I-I’m sorry hyung…I knew I wasn’t suppose to leave but I…I couldn’t sit still and not know about Minho….I’m sorry I have caused trouble….what if we get into even more trouble?! What if they separate us Minho?! For good! Oh please…don’t let them….” Minnie cried hysterically. I shushed him and kissed his head.  Ryeowook came over and rubbed Taemins back.

“Don’t cry little one….have faith in his majesty…he will sort out both your situations….just please…please trust him….He admires your courage just as much as I do…you must be strong tomorrow, no matter what happens.” Ryeowook said trying to assure Minnie.

“B-but….the divine council…I-I’m afraid….”

“Don’t be.  I will be there, Minho will be there as well, and your mother has been informed Minho.  I’m sure she will inform Taemin’s family as well.  They will be here when it is all over to support you both.  I will see to it myself. So please don’t fret young Taemin.” Ryeowook said assuringly. I smiled at him.  He was the best hyung anyone could ask for… (But don’t tell Changmin that).  I continued to console Minnie as Ryeowook hyung left after giving further instructions about tomorrow.  I kissed his cheeks, eye lids and forehead.

“Don’t cry anymore baby…Its going to be okay.  You believe in us don’t you?” I said caressing his cheek softly like a precious piece of silk. He sniffled and looked up at me with a small smile.

“Yes I do…I believe in us so much it hurts….I love you so much Minho.  Thank you for being my rock, my anchor when I set adrift, and my light in my darkessed cave.” I smiled and kissed him fully on the lips.  He melted into my kiss, and wrapped his arms around my neck.  I pecked him on last time and tucked us into bed.  We had a long day ahead of us tomorrow, and we would need to be well rested and ready for anything.  I went to sleep assured.  I had a feeling that Dracula was more on our side then he was letting on, and that in itself gave me strength.

Next Morning…..

I woke up bright and early.  Minnie was till sleeping soundly beside me, and I decided not to wake him just yet.  I used the shower in the room that Ryeowook let us use.  Let me tell you, having a shower after 5 days felt quite rejuvenating.   As I dried my hair, with a towel wrapped around my waist, I exited the bathroom too look for some clothes.  I found a closet in the corner and looked through it.  I found some black slacks and a white wife beater.  I guess that would have to do for now.  I dressed into them and they fit like a charm.  I then decided it was time to wake up my sleeping beauty.  I slowly walked over and bent over giving my angel a kiss on the cheek.

“Minnie….wake up…” I said softly.  He stirred and opened his eyes.  His beautiful brown eyes looked at me and smiled softly.

“Good morning Minho…” he said with a slight yawn.  I chuckled at his cuteness.

“Good morning sweetheart.” I said with a smile.

“Mm…what time is it….” I laughed softly.

“Time for you to get your angelic out of bed….remember we have the meeting today.” He nodded and got up, stretching his wings in the process.  I never got tired of seeing him do that.  I helped him up, and showed him to the shower.  As I continued to fix myself up I heard a knock on the door.  I told the person that they could come in, and came in Ryeowook hyung. I gave him a smile.

“Good morning hyung.”

“Good morning Minho….where is Taemin?” Ryeowook asked looking around the room.

“He is taking a shower right now.”  He nodded.

“Well I brought you some breakfast.  You should eat before the meeting, and I assure this, it’s going to be a small affair.   So tell Taemin to ease himself, because I can imagine the head of the divine council will do whatever it takes to win a decision in this meeting.” I nodded.  I knew this already, but being reminded kept me extra on my toes.  Soon Minnie emerged from the shower looking slightly more relaxed and refreshed and let me just say….at that moment…he looked more appetizing than the amazing breakfast Ryeowook prepared for us, but now wasn’t the time for that.  Ryeowook hyung waited for us to finish our food and then he led us to the meeting room.  The journey through the castle was amazing in itself.  Lots of paintings, art, and precious valuables.  We soon stopped in front of a room with large doors, that where red with black designs.  I looked at the corner of my eye and noticed that Minnie was shaking slightly.  I grabbed his hand and gave it a tender kiss.

“It’s going to be okay….be strong.” He nodded and smiled slightly. I smiled as well.

“Okay you two….ready?” Ryeowook hyung asked us.

“Yes we are hyung….” He nodded and smiled.  Ryeowook opened the door and there was Dracula and the head of the divine council.  Dracula just had a neutral expression on his face that was slightly unreadable, which made me a bit tense but I didn’t show it.  The head of the Divine council gave Taemin a death glare and looked at me with pure hatred.  I swear if he keeps looking that stuffy his face will stay that way.  Dracula motioned for us to take a seat.  As soon as we sat down that head council bastard spoke up.

“Well well…It seems the caged dove escaped from its prison.  Not to say that I am surprised.  However I think I was quite merciful putting you under house arrest.  Seems more measures will have to be taken.” I could feel Taemins hand shake but he still managed to glare at the head council man.

“Mercy…that’s a laugh.  Putting me in prison, and caging Taemin up. Is that how things are run in heaven.  If so, the darkest crevices of hell seem much more pleasant than what you call heaven.” I said with narrowed eyes.

“What have you said to me boy?!  I could have you locked up for the rest of your days.  I could kill you right now, and you would never be able to finish your pathetic school life or see your family again.  You are in no position to be talking high and mighty to me. Not in the predicament you are in.” The head council man smirked.  This prick was getting on my last nerve.

“Yes, about that.  Killing a vampire without consent from my authority by another beings monarchy smells trouble if you ask me.  That’s why our worlds are split up.  Heaven, the vampire realm, Olympus, Hell, the human realm exct.  We are all part of one big world, and we live in harmony together. Whether we know of the other or not.  However we take care of our own species in our respective worlds.  If there is a problem with a vampire in any part of our world, it is under my gerasticion to handle it as I am head of all vampires.  You are under no authority of this boy.  Even your head Monarchy, God himself, would agree wouldn’t he?” Dracula said with ease.  This made the head council man tense.

“Surely my friend you must know that, otherwise you wouldn’t have consulted me about what should happen with this boy, wouldn’t you agree?”

“I am not your friend!  Never would I associate with those of your kind.  M university…one of the biggest mistakes since the fall of Gods most exulted angel.  But then again perhaps I am wasting my breath, because you of all people would know what it’s like being with someone you probably shouldn’t even be with and breaking tradition wouldn’t you friend?” The head council man sneered. I saw Dracula tense slightly.  What is he talking about?

“We are not here to discuss my past.  We are here about the lives of these two innocent children, who you have chosen to complicate.”

“I suppose you are correct.  Well for starters, I want this miscreant to stop seeing one of my Angels.  I have been remise in letting other species somewhat intermingel and befriend with our line, but a vampire or dark being I will not tolerate.  I will not tolerate it at all.  This young man has so much potential.  His mother is already a high ranking goddess, and I believe he could follow in her footsteps.  However he will not get there being tied down to this boy.  Surely you can understand where I am coming from.  Oh yes my friend, I know about the vampire couple who was killed because one was royal, and the other was of peasant status, along with their innocent child.” He smirked thinking he had a plausible argument to keep me away from Minnie. I remember telling Minnie that story and I started to get worried.  How was Dracula going to smooth his way out this one?  That divine bastard was tricky….I’m surprised Dracula hasn’t lost his yet.

“Yes that is true, I do not deny this.  However times have change almost 300 years worth of change.  M university has shown that we can all interact together and be friends.  Court one another in love and romance, and even though we still have our all vampire universities here, we still try to instill the teachings of M university.  I think most of the realms would agree with me on this one.” Dracula said coolly.  The head council man then slammed his hand on the arm rest of the chair he was sitting on.

“I do not care! The other realms can do what they want! They can taint their species for all I care, but not the divine line.  We are the most perfect beings in this world.  Angels with Angels, and Gods with Goddesses.  That’s how it’s always been and that’s how it always will be! As long as I am in charge under God himself that will not change!” he raised his voice.

“Our lord is a merciful person!  I’m sure…he would understand our love…that’s how my mother raised me….so to say he still follows these rules when he hasn’t said anything to my mother…or me….is quite brazen of you! Who are you to speak under Gods authority!” Taemin suddenly interjected in.

“How dare you…!  You won’t get away with speaking that way to me?! You are still but an angel in school. Just a mere child! You know nothing!” he exploded at Minnie.

“That is true, but I believe he can bring change….There is potential in this boy as you have said dear council man, perhaps even more than you yourself have failed to notice.  One day I am sure he will be able to knock you off your high horse.  Its time change reached heaven.  I am sure your higher authority would agree wouldn’t you?”

“Then why would he not have said anything to me?! I am directly under him!”

“That I couldn’t tell you, but I’m sure he has a plan for this young angel and being with this fine young man is part of it.  Now dear friend, I would love to sit here and argue with you to our hearts content, however I think you have over stayed your welcome.  I would like to talk to these two young men if you don’t mind terribly.”

“You can’t just kick me out in the middle of this?! We have not come to a decision!”

“Oh we have and the decision is that I will not do anything to discipline trouble or demean this boy.  You had better leave him and his lover alone.  I don’t want to see you back in my council room, or this young man back in my prison.  This discussion is over.”  The divine council man looked utterly pissed, it caused me to grin.

“You.,…you’re a fool if you think this is over.  I will have my way if it’s the last thing I do.  You have not seen the last of me! ” and with that he disappeared.  There was a huge sigh of relief.  I then picked Minnie up and spun him around and kissed his cheeks. He giggled.

“Minho stop it….his majesty is still here….” Minnie said shyly. I laughed and held Minnie tight placing a kiss on his cheek.  I then turned my attention to Dracula and he was smiling at us with a gentle smile.

“Thank you so much your majesty….you really saved us for the time being….” I said gratefully.

“It’s not a problem.  I will also do everything in my power to help you two.  I will be your ally.  I know that crusty old fool will do whatever it takes to see he wins this, but don’t live in fear.  It will be alright I can feel it.” I nodded and smile.

“Um…your majesty?” Taemin piped up looking at Dracula shyly.

“Yes Taemin-ah?”

“W-when you said I could bring change….did you mean it? Or better yet what does that even mean?” Dracula smiled.

“I believe that love can bring Miracles Taemin-ah.  I didn’t always believe that way….but ever since Minho was brought here, and when I figured out that you his lover was an angel…it got me thinking.  Perhaps this was all meant to happen.  Perhaps now you can show heaven that it’s ok to love outside of heaven.  I know…it took the vampire realm awhile to break from these laws as well, but we did it in the end.  So I have faith that things are going to start looking up for you, and other Angels.....no everyone.  I dought the head council man that just left will be in charge for much longer.  I am certain of that…” I smiled.

“Thank you again…I can’t even express how grateful I am….but I can’t help but wonder why….why would you help us? I mean you don’t even know me or Taemin…I know it’s more than just the fact that you believe that Taemin can help change or be an inspiration to all angels of the divine line…” I asked with determined eyes. I saw Dracula look at me with vulnerable eyes.

“Minho….it’s because I…”

“GET YOUR DAMN HANDS OFF ME!!!!” We were startled from our conversation to see Ryeowook had emerged from the door along with my mom, Changmin, Jonghyun, Key, Kevin, Larissa, and a struggling Yuri….what the hell was she doing here?

“Ryeowook what seems to be the problem? Who are these people and who is this young lady that seems to be confined?” Dracula said shocked.

“Ah I’m sorry for intruding your majesty, but this here is Minho’s mother and brother.  The other three teenagers are Minho and young Taemins friends, and this divine and beautiful specimen is Taemins mother.” Ryeowook hyung said with a smile.  I saw Taemins mother blush slightly and smile.  I smiled brightly at seeing my mother, brother and my friends.

“Jonghyun!” I said with a smile. He smiled just as bright.

“Hey man! Glad to see your okay!” I started letting go of Taemin but he gripped me tighter.

“Minnie what’s wrong?”

“Protect me hyung!” I looked at him confused.

“From what?....”

“LEE TAEMIN! Get your over here right ing now!” I cringed.  I turned to the direction of the voice.  It was Key…looking psychotic and ready to kill.

“U-umma….h-hi….” Minnie squeaked beside me. I started to get a little scarred too.

“M-Minnie….y-you told Key about coming here......r-right?” I whispered.

“n-not exactly….” And then Taemin was running while Key was chasing him around Draculas council room.  Jonghyun and Changmin started laughing their asses off.  I just shook my head…suddenly that old cell was looking more inviting.....and much more quiet.  However my attention then turned back to Yuri who was still in Kevin’s grasp.

“Um I don’t mean to be rude but why in the hell is Yuri here?” I said with a raised eyebrow. Kevin glared and squeezed Yuri tighter.  Strong grip for a muse….

“This convincingly little was the one that gave that tip off to the divine council man about you and Taemin.” Kevin said with disgust.

“You did what?!” I said my face filling with rage.

“I-I did it for you oppa!! I did it because I love you so much and I…” I exploded.

“Shut up! Just shut the up!! Now! Do you realize what you did?! You could have separated us!”

“You were mine first! You two don’t belong together! You’re of different worlds!” she shouted back.

“I don’t ing care! I love him! is changing Yuri.  I don’t care about those divine council rules! They won’t stand for much longer anyways, and I’m only going to repeat this once so pay the attention.  WE ARE OVER.” She started screaming hysterically after that.

“Ryeowook, see this young lady out….inform her parents of her activities.”

“With pleasure sir.” Ryeowook said, itching to get Yuri out of there.  As soon as she left, I turned to see that Key had caught Taemin and had given him a good bop to the head, but then was smothering my poor baby.  Larissa looked equally happy to see Minnie, and I’m sure Onew hyung would be happy as well.  I walked over to my mother and gave her a big hug.  She started crying and saying how much she missed me, and how happy she was that this was sorted out.  Changmin ruffled my hair and told me how he kind of missed me. I rolled my eyes…that’s my brother for you.  We were all so lost in our reunion and fuzzy moment that I didn’t notice Dracula come towards us.  My mother noticed and gave him a smile.

“Thank you so much your majesty! You saved my boy!” he smiled and shook his head.

“Its alright…I didn’t mind at all.  Umm…. I was wondering….could I speak with him in private for a moment.”  My mother looked puzzled and so did I frankly.

“Ummm sure I guess that’s okay…is everything alright?”

“Yes…I just…want a word with him if that’s alright…” I nodded before my mother could ask anymore questions.

“Sure.” He nodded and smiled.  I told Minnie that I would be right back, and kissed his head where a little bump from the bop he received from Key was forming.  I followed Dracula to his study. I looked around and it was quite the place.  It had a nice atmosphere and posh furniture.

“Minho?” I heard him call. I turned to him.

“Yea what’s up?”  He looked nervous and I didn’t know what the problem was.  Why would someone with as much power as him be nervous around me?

“I would like to show you something….” I nodded and he brought me to a wall where there was a huge painting hidden behind a tarp.  He then took the tarp off and there behind the tarp was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.  She looked really familiar.

“She’s beautiful your highness…” I said admiring the painting. He nodded.

“Indeed she is…my fair Aliina… she was so young….do you happen to know….my story…” he asked not looking at me. I nodded.

“Umm yes….I’m…I’m really sorry your highness….” I said feeling really bad for him.

“No apologies needed, but thank you…….  Do you remember when you asked me why I would risk so much just for you….when I didn’t even know you?” he asked me steadily. I nodded my head, feeling my heart beat pick up for whatever reason.

“I think I would have…if it any other young vampire brought to me, but you….. I won’t deny that you are special….”

“Me…special?”

“Yes you are….to me….”

“b-but why?.....” he then moved and took something off his desk, and walked over to me.

“Here…take a look.” I hesitantly grabbed the documents and looked them over.  It was the blood test Ryeowook hyung had done on me just the other day.  What does this have to do with anything I wondered.  I looked it over and I stopped short when I looked at what blood type I was…but….that’s impossible.

“Your highness…my blood….it says I’m a….I’m a purple blood vampire…but…that’s impossible the last known purple blood was….” Then my eyes grew, larger than they already were. I looked at Dracula and he looked at me and nodded his head, tears spilling.

“y-you mean to tell me that I’m….I’m…..” he nodded and grabbed my shoulders.

“Yes Minho…..Your my son.  My long lost boy….and that beautiful woman in the painting….is your mother…” I dropped the documents.  I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  Was it true….? Well it made sense….I was adopted…I didn’t know who my parents where and my blood was purple…. I started to shake, and I was engulfed into a hug.

“my boy….oh my boy….I have missed you so much….I’ve always hoped that one day….one day id see you again, and now here you are….” I couldn’t comprehend anything at this moment.  I wasn’t even sure how I felt about this….but all I could do at that moment was wrap my arms around him and hug him back like my life depended on it.
