I closed my laptop, sighing, before spinning around in my chair.  I was so bored.

I used to be able to tell myself that only boring people got bored and then I would be able to find something to do, but there was literally nothing to do.

I could call Jonghyun, but I know that he's probably with his girlfriend right now, who he spends every waking moment with.  Sure, he'll invite me to hang out with the two of them, but being the third wheel gets old really fast.

Taemin's on vaccation with his family for the entire summer, so calling him was out of the question.

Onew just got a summer job at some chicken restaraunt, and I don't want to bother him while he's in paradise.

So, that leaves me with nothing better to do than sit here...twirling around in a spinny chair, utterly bored.

Not that I don't love to feel like a loser that never leaves the house. No way, my life is obviously loads of fun.

My mom burst into my room so suddenly that I fell backwards out of my chair.

"Umma!  Don't do that!"

"Sorry, Kibum, but I have great news!"

I sighed.  "What?"

"I was talking to a woman from work, and she's going to New York for a few weeks because she  is in the process of finalizing her divorce.  She needs someone to watch her two little boys for her, and I told her that you would do it!" She clapped her hands enthusiastically.

"What?  Why would you tell her that?"

"Because you're great with kids!  And your father and I also thought that it would be good for you to get out of the house for a while."

Ah, so thats why she signed me up for this.  They want me off of their asses.

"I don't want to watch kids for such a long time.  I have much better things to do..." he sighed.

"She's willing to pay you fifty dollars per day."

My heart skipped a beat.  "Fifty dollars?"

Umma nodded encouragingly.  "This is a great way for you to earn money!"

I thought it over.  If I went, I would have to put up with some kids for a while, but I would earn a lot of money.   But, if I stayed, I would have to sit in this same room for the next few weeks, doing absolutely nothing.

"Fine." I concluded.

She practically leapt across the room to hug me. "Thank you, Kibum! You won't regret it!"

"Why are you thanking me?"

"No reason." She smiled mischievously and left the room.
