AFTER SCHOOL
“OMGOMGOMG! So I really need your help! What do I wear tomorrow? Where are we going? OMG what do you do on a date!? Gongchaaan!!!” I shouted.
“Dear…my ears are going to pop. Let’s go get you some temporary contacts first or you’ll have no clue where you’re going.
“Okay!” I said excitedly. We were both walking while I held onto Gongchan’s arm, however I kept tripping over rocks and cracks on the road.
“That’s it.” Gongchan said, “Give me your backpack.” He looped it over his arms so that he was carrying my backpack at the front of his body and bent down. “Get on,” he said.
“Wait, why? Are you piggy-backing me?” I asked.
“Yes, come on.” He replied.
He grabbed my arms and put it on his shoulder. I got on and hugged his neck while he stood up and started walking. I could feel my heart beating “THUMP, THUMP, THUMP” very loudly. My cheeks started turning really red when I realized my lips were about to touch Gongchan’s neck. I turned my face so I was lying on Gongchan’s back instead.
“Why are you carrying me?” I asked shyly.
“Because if I didn’t we would take forever to get to one place,” he responded with a laugh.
The rest of the piggyback ride was quiet until we reached the store to purchase the temporary contacts. The lady at the store taught me to put them in and we decided to head to the mall.
“Okay! Now tell me how to dress okay!?” I yelled excitedly into Gongchan’s ear.
“Yes master,” he said with a smile. “But before that let’s learn what you do on dates.” He responded.
He took my hand in his and I started to blush again, my heartbeat racing.
“Holding hands is pretty basic…I think” Gongchan said.
“You think?” I questioned.
“Well yeah…not like I’ve ever been on a date before. But it’s written in those magazines and I saw in the dramas and stuff…” Gongchan replied while looking at the floor and scratching the back of his neck.
I burst out laughing. “I didn’t know you were into those things!” I laughed.
“Well I’m not!” Gongchan said. He turned bright pink and I kept laughing while he let go of my hand and walked faster due to embarrassment.
“Okay okay! I won’t laugh anymore! Slow down!” I said while running to catch up and held his hand in mine.
MALL
Gongchan brought me to a boutique which he frequents and brought me inside.
It wasn’t just any boutique, it was the ones that were huge with many floors, the kind only the rich could afford.
“Hello Gongchan-shi, how may we help you today?” said a bunch of young employees all lined up.
I had no clue Gongchan was given such extravagant VIP service, I mean I knew he was rich, but not this rich.
“I’m good. I’ll just help her pick out an outfit.” Gongchan responded going straight to the racks.
I could tell he liked doing things his own way and chuckled a little. While we were at the racks I heard the young employees whispering. “Wow! His girlfriend is so pretty!” and “Aww, he was totally my type. She’s so lucky!” I couldn’t help but smile and feel proud while holding tighter onto Gongchan’s hand.
“What do you think of this one?” Gongchan asked.
“Umm, it’s pretty! I love the colours,” you responded.
I went into the change room to try out the outfit Gongchan picked for me. I heard the young employees talking to Gongchan.
“Wow you have such good taste! That was a beautiful outfit you picked out for your girlfriend.”
“She’s not my girlfriend, just a friend,” I heard Gongchan respond. My heart couldn’t help but break a little when I heard him say that.
“How do I look?” I asked him once I exited the change room.
Gongchan’s eyes widened when he saw me step outside the changeroom.
“Y-you look stunning.” He managed to choke out.
“Okay great! I’ll change.” I responded happily while blushing.
A female employee then walked up to us. She gave out a different aura, with a gentle but upper class type of feel. I looked at her name tag, “Jung Hye Young”. It stated that she was the manager of the store, no wonder she was so professional.
“Agasshi you look really pretty in that. Why don’t you just wear it out?” she said with a kind smile. I looked at Gongchan while he nodded in agreement.
“keke~ okay!” I smiled. “Gongchan-shi you should pick an outfit out too,” she suggested.
“Okay.” Gongchan went to pick out an outfit. I stood beside him and I slipped my hand into his. He paused and looked at me with wide eyes. I looked at him and smiled, he gave me an eye smile back.
Gongchan went inside the change room and changed. He came out and went to the mirror to check and adjust his outfit.
“Wow, you both look great together! I wouldn’t believe it if you said you weren’t a couple” the young employees gushed.
Gongchan and you looked at each other and started blushing. “Umm, we’ll pay now.” He suggested.
We both went to the cashier my arms linked with Gongchan’s. He took out his wallet and credit card. “And your total comes to $- - - -” Hye Young said. My eyes widened at the price. I quickly pulled Gongchan aside.
“Yah! It’s so expensive! Let’s leave!” I whispered.
He just laughed and patted my head then went back to pay. I quickly ran to his side and held onto his arm with my chin leaning on his shoulder. “Thank you so much for your purchase Gongchan-shi,” said Hye Young.
“No problem,” and with that we left the store.
“Young boys these days are so shy, they’re obviously dating,” said Hye Young with a smile.
“Okay so where do we go next!!!” I said.
“Ummm it’s around 6, shall we eat dinner?” Gongchan suggested.
“Okay!!!” you said a little too excitedly. Gongchan brought you to a fancy french cuisine.
FRENCH CUISINE
“Good afternoon, a quiet table in the back for you and your girlfriend?” said the waiter.
“She’s not -” Gongchan started. “Yes please!” I cut in. Gongchan stared at me and I just smiled and dragged him to the table.
He sat the both of us down and gave us the menu. “Take your time,” he said and left.
I was confused with all the French in the menu and Gongchan ended up ordering for both of us. When the food came, he helped me cut up my steak.
“Say ahh,” he said while reaching across the table with a piece of steak on his fork.
“Ahh,” I opened my mouth and ate it. “Omo! It’s delicious!” I said.
He smiled and gave me the rest of the plate.
While eating, I got some spaghetti sauce on the side of my lip. He reached across the table and wiped it with his handkerchief. I blushed while he just smiled.
When it was time to pay, he paid for the two of us again. Once again, it was very expensive.
“You know Gongchan…” I started, “I’ll be happy even if we go to cheap places like we go to most the time” I said.
“Hmmm, okay. How about you decide where we go now?” he suggested. “Ok! Let’s go to the movies!” I suggested.
MOVIE THEATRE
We both decided to watch a horror movie. Even though I was really scared, I enjoyed them. Once the movie started, there was a bloody scene.
“OMG!” I screamed while digging my nails into Gongchan’s arm. He winced a little but didn’t stop me.
When I finally softened my grip, he took my hand off his arm and held it while pulling the rest of my body close to him, so I could lie on his shoulder while his arm rested around my shoulder. The next time I screamed I leaned into his chest instead. It felt so natural that I didn’t even know I was doing that until the movie was over.
“Hmm, it’s around 9:00 right now. Do you want to do one more thing before we go home?” he suggested.
“Okay! Mmm…let’s go get ice cream and watch the stars!” I said.
We both went to the Baskin Robbins nearby and decided to get two vanilla ice cream cones.
“Today we’re having a special for couples!” said the employee. “The couple ice cream set is half price! Would you like to order that instead?” he said.
“Sure!” I said. “It was a big ice cream cup with two spoons decorated with hearts.”
We then went to a nearby hill to watch the stars. As we sat on the bench we fed each other ice cream.
“Are you excited for the date tomorrow?” Gongchan asked.
“Yup! Of course!” I said.
Gongchan’s expression suddenly went glum, but I didn’t notice since it was dark outside.
It was quiet for a while until I decided to ask him something.
“Gongchan I have a question…why do you always give me a grape-flavoured lollipop?” I asked.
Gongchan gulped at the sound of that. “U-ummm, I don’t know.” He said.
It was then quiet again. Suddenly a shooting star passed by. “OMG! A shooting star! Let’s make a wish!” I said excitedly.
We both clasped our hands together and closed our eyes.
Gongchan “Even if ~~~ never realizes my true feelings for her I hope I will be able to always give her grape-flavoured lollipops in place of my feelings for her…”
Me “I wish Gongchan will give me grape-flavoured lollipops forever so I can always remember the day we met!”
“What did you wish for?” I asked Gongchan once I was done.
“Nothing much…It’s getting late now…let’s go home,” Gongchan suggested.
He held my hand all the way back to my house and stopped at the door. “I had a great time today my one day girlfriend,” Gongchan said.
“Me too my one day boyfriend!” you responded while giggling.
Suddenly he kept coming closer…and closer…and closer… “OMG…is he going to kiss me! On my lips?!? OMG!” I closed my eyes and slowly leaned toward him. I then felt his hands hold the side of my head lightly as he planted a kiss on my forehead.
“Good night. Have a great time tomorrow. Text me if anything happens.” And with that Gongchan left.
I couldn’t help but feel a little sad that he didn’t kiss me on the lips…
Gongchan POV
If only you knew…that I liked you ever since that day we met. Why else would I give you a grape lollipop all the time? I want you to remember the first day we met…I want you to know how long I loved you. Can’t you see that? Everything I did with you today was the first date that I planned for you and me…but I never got to ask you. Even though it was a practice date for you…it was real for me.
